Chapter 171: Chapter 171
Liara looked at the wave of water down her window. She didn’t ask him the reason, looking at his serious face. She just nodded and was about to jump when Theodore grabbed her arm.
“Seriously? You trust me so much?”
“Don’t tell me you were playing a trust game with me,” Liara said with a frown and heard a knock on the door. Theodore stopped her there and went to open the door on his own. He saw the same vampire who had brought his luggage to Liara’s room; then why was he asking the direction of the room?
Before Theodore could have gotten the answer to his unasked question, Luke threw a punch at him.
“Theooo!!” Liara cried in shock. But she sighed in relief when that Luke's hand never touched Theodore's body as he had already grabbed Luke's hand. In the next moment, Theodore broke his hand and, in a fraction of a second, his neck, ripping Luke's head away; Theodore threw it away from his body.
Theodore knew Luke wasn't alone, and this time, he was attacked by someone whom he couldn't see. He hissed and tried to sense them, wondering who they were. Because whoever they were, they were fast, strong, and had long claws.
"Shadow Demon!!" Liara muttered behind him. "They are scared of light." She added and looked at the switched board, which was near the door, and they were around the door.
Theodore smirked when he found their weakness. If they were invisible, then even he could get invisible as well. In the next second, he used his vampire power and tried not to run toward the switchboard, or they would have sensed him by the change in the speed of air around them.
"I doubt you're here to kill me," Liara spoke, looking around. She pressed her lips, trying not to act scared, when she started flying in the air. Were they planning to take her somewhere?
'Hurry up! Theo.' She mentally screamed. Immediately all the light in the room was on, and she fell on the floor with a thud.
"Lia... fuck!! You okay?" Theodore asked, reaching near her. Liara nodded her head and looked at Theodore's chest, which was still bleeding from the attack of the claws of the Shadow Demon. Her hand reached near his chest, and she touched it before chanting a spell. Her eyes glowed and healed Theodore.
"Even Demon studies here?" Theodore questioned her once she healed him.
"No!! They had their own academy in hell." Liara muttered before adding, "But anyone in the academy has broken the rule by summoning their here and..."
"And?"
"And by controlling them with black magic, Theo."
"Come on. Let's report about it and find that person."
"No. You don't get it, Theo. Shadow demon kills the person who summoned them to fulfill their last wish. So, the person will already be dead by now." Liara replied and heard a lot of commotion in the corridor. She walked out of the room, holding Theodore's hand, to see what was happening outside.
"Who killed Stacy?" Hadraniel, the angel who used to handle the security of the whole academy, asked the people around him. Stacy was the guard of the quarter, that too a stronger one. Immediately he narrowed his eyes and looked in the direction of Theodore and Liara.
'Oh, No! Theo has killed Luke.' Liara thought and was quick to stand in front of him.
'Seriously? Does she think that I need protection?' Theodore growled in anger in his mind, but because of her short height, he could still see the man walking toward them.
"A Rogue in the Academy," Hadraniel muttered, looking at Theodore.
"Family is allowed to stay here, Hadraniel," Liara replied, to which he looked down at her. "I had informed the higher authority already about it."
"But that didn't give me a free license to kill anyone."
"I don't give a fuck who the hell you are, but before blaming me, get your security check. If this stupid vampire wouldn't have dared to raise his hand on me, then he would have been alive." Theodore snarled. Liara looked at him and silently pleading him not to talk in this way. Once he finished, Liara looked at Hadraniel, who had the power to go back in time to see everything. Nothing could get past him.
After a minute, he opened his eyes and looked at Theodore, "You could have avoided killing him."
"I'm not a saint. Disrespect me, and you're dead." Liara shook her head because Theodore wasn't at all handling the situation in a good way. She looked at both men, who were ignoring her presence.
She wanted to grab a chair and stand in between them so that they could finally see her.
She cleared her throat to gain their attention before speaking, "I have to inform something very important." Hadraniel nodded his head and formed an invisible wall around them so that no one could hear them.
"Go ahead."
"There were Shadow Demons in my room, Hadraniel. I mean, they came for me, I guess." Liara informed, trying not to give importance to herself.
"This was bound to happen, but I didn't this soon," Hadraniel responded with a frown. "I don't want to scare you, Liara, but you're that light now which is wanted by everyone. Because you're the future."
Theodore remembered that back then, Steve had told the same.
'What does that mean, 'she is the future'? Future of what?' Theodore wondered.
"In short, this academy can't keep her safe?" Theodore questioned.
"Selene has blessed her with a strong mate like you for a reason," Hadraniel said in a sarcastic tone. "Rest; I'm going to check who else is dead by Demon." With this, he left from there.
Theodore grabbed Liara's hand and returned to the room, closing the door behind them.
"You're not going to work here NOW." He decided in determination. He would have to build a hospital in Black Council as soon as possible. He wouldn't let her disappear from his eyesight.
"Yay!!!!" Liara happily jumped on him. He was quick to hold her. She didn't need to worry about the part where someone wanted to kidnap her. She trusted her mate. He wouldn't let anything happen to her, not until he was alive, and as long as she was alive, she would protect him with everything that she had.
"What are you, Lia? A devil? Because a normal person can't be happy on the ride to hell."
"I can be your devil, you know." She whispered seductively.
