‘Follow her.’ Inigo ordered.
‘I have other things to do than running behind a girl.’ Beast retorted in the next moment; he felt his wolf trying to take control of his body. ‘Damn, you mutt. Fine. I’m going to follow her but only to reject her and end this shit for once and for all.’ He added and ran behind her.
Just like Beast had assumed, Liara’s reaction was no different; she wanted to reject him right away without knowing him.
“Theodore,” Liara muttered in a low tone. Hearing it, Beast looked around, thinking there was someone except them.
“Go ahead, reject me.” He spoke with a poker face, but Liara couldn’t speak a word. She just could because she was busy scolding herself. She couldn’t think about the things that he would have gone through. Even if she tried to, she couldn’t because she was a sign of her parent’s love. Her parents cherish her like some precious gift. They kept a beautiful name for her, Liara, which meant beautiful stars, and gorgeous flower blossoms. Well, not exactly her parents, but his older brother Calvin Haysbert named her. “Fine. I will do that on my own because it’s clear that neither of us wants the other in our life.” He said, trying his very not to feel anything with this rejection. But whom was he kidding?
In his whole life, he had watched how these mutts love their mates. Hell, even vampires love their mate in the same way, except for the vampires in his Coven. He, too, wanted someone to love him in the same way his mother did, but not everyone was blessed to have someone in their life whose love could be pure as a mother’s love.
“I, a creature with no name, a creature which the result of rape, reject….”
“Please don’t,” Liara spoke in between. Her heart raced like a horse at the very thought of rejecting her mate. She couldn’t understand then why Moon Goddess had paired her with her enemy, but now she was sure that whatever it was, it was definitely not a mistake. There was always a reason behind everything that happened in life.
“Why? Don’t you want the same? Or have you changed your plan? But guess what? I haven’t changed my mood, and I don’t want you in my life, mutt.” He hissed in anger. “I hate werewolves, and I hate you too, Liara Haysbert.”
Liara’s eyes moistened when she heard it. “Reject me and free me from this stupid bond.”
“Ok..okay!!” Liara nodded her eyes and wiped the tears that rolled out of her eyes at the same time. “I, Liara Haysbert, da..daughter of Brandon Haysbert, rejects my mate, Theodore.” She said with a heavy heart.
‘Theodore? Does she give you a name? This name is beautiful.’ Inigo said, but Beast ignored him.
“I accept your….” Before he could have completed his sentence. He hissed in pain.
“Theo…” Liara’s eyes widened when she saw an arrow hitting his heart out of nowhere. She looked in the direction from where someone would have shot an arrow and saw a hunter hiding behind leaves, more like wearing leaves.
Beast pulled out the arrow from his body forcefully and threw it away, and ran toward the tree where that hunter was hiding, only to kill him. Liara looked away from that direction, not able to see these things, and that was when her eyes landed on the arrow, which looked familiar.
She picked it up carefully and saw the ‘H’ sign craved in it beautifully. Her eye’s widened when she recognized the arrow. She stood up on her feet, holding the arrow, and at the same time, the dead body of the hunter was thrown near her feet.
“Aaaaa!!” She cried in fear when she saw his head was missing.
“Shut your mouth!!” Beast yelled, glaring at her. “So, this was your plan? To kill me by hiring a hunter?” He asked, to which Liara shook her head, but he looked so pissed that she couldn’t speak a word. “LEAVE before I rip your head out of your body.” He shouted, scaring the shit out of her.
She turned her heels and started running away from him. But she had barely taken ten steps when she heard the sound of someone collapsing on the ground. She turned her head and found her mate on the ground.
