“We didn’t get a chance to meet her, Arti,” Caroline replied, kicking her heels out of her feet in anger. “You can thank dad for that. Throughout the time, he was there hidden. Neither did he meet her, nor could we. I’m so mad at him right now.”

“Then why is Mom happy?” Artemis asked, looking at Sophia, who was smiling. “Mom, are you all right?” He asked her. The last thing either of them wanted was for her to lose her mind.

“Of course I’m. Why won’t I be?” Sophia asked, wiping her happy tears. “She achieved her dream, and now, she will enter into a new phase of her life with her mate. I don’t see any reason to stay sad.” She explained, taking everything in a positive way. All these years, Brandon had kept his eyes on Liara, keeping a recording of her, even though he stayed acting at her. And he was over the moon with the part that Theodore and Liara weren’t in touch other than by phone.

Not once Theodore visited her either to meet her or to take her with him on vacation. Liara had to spend her vacation working in the hospital as an intern, and Brandon really wished that Theodore and Liara’s relationship wouldn’t work out.

For now, I’m thinking as Brandon’s wife, but the moment, the mother in me will lose her mind; I will kick him out of my life if he doesn’t listen to me.” Sophia said to which Artemis chuckled. Obviously, she was the head in charge of the family. “Let Lee enjoy her new phase of life.”

Brandon fumed in anger, recalling Theodore and Liara together. He believed that Theodore was just using his daughter. All this time, Theodore stayed away from her, and when she was about to become a healer, he landed there to show that she was with her. At the same time, his phone rang, and he looked at his display.

He took a deep breath before receiving the call, “Hey!!”

“You okay? I felt that you’re not.” Sophia said the moment he received the call.

“I miss you a lot.”

“No,” Brandon replied quickly. He wasn’t regretting it because he was there on his daughter’s special day. The only problem was that even that loser was there.

“Oh!! Our daughter became a healer today. The process was painful for that, but she handled it very well. In fact, throughout the time, she was talking about you. She said that because of you, she was in that position.”

“Don’t tell me that you went there even when I told you not to,” Brandon asked, narrowing his eyes and with a frown on his face.

“Dad, it’s me, Calvin!! Did you hear the news about Lee? I came to know about it from others.” Calvin said, expressing his happiness. “I’m so proud of her. Do you know that there were some people who tried to speak ill about you, but she shut everyone’s mouth by saying something like you are a plant? She is a gardener; no, she is a flower.”

“She didn’t say anything like this.”

“But Alpha Ambrose said….”

“She had said that a small plant could not grow under a big tree’s shade. So, a big tree needs to be cut down up to a certain level so that a small plant can also grow.” Brandon replied. “I mean, she would have said something like this.”

“Really?” Calvin asked in surprise. “How do you know that she said this?”
