“I didn’t know you started using makeup now.” He commented, reaching near her

“Doctor Sara said that mates give more attention if we look beautiful. Even though I know you won’t look at another woman, but there are still a lot of beautiful women outside, so I want your eyes on me all the time.” Liara replied, looking at him through the mirror, and then grabbed a perfume bottle to apply it near her neck and ear. Theodore liked the fragrance of the perfume, but it was nothing compared to the smell of her blood. He shook his head, trying to concentrate.

“Are you getting insecure?” Theodore asked, smelling her hair.

“I don’t know. Maybe.” Liara responded, shrugging her shoulder. “Let’s go.”

“You don’t have to get insecure, Lia,” Theodore said, holding her wrist when she took a step to leave. “My precious little mate had told me once. ‘When you love someone, you love them in all situations and in every look, and when you don’t love someone, even if they turned out to be the most beautiful thing in the world, you can’t love them.”

Liara blushed at his words, though he was repeating her words. “Does that mean you love me, Theo?”

“Alaric is right. Love needs to be expressed and confessed. Just like a plant needs water, eyes needs eyesight, a cowardly needs courage, night needs darkness, and a fool needs a brain.”

Liara smiled widely, “Don’t tell me that you still take love tips from him.”

“Well, that fucker is good for only one thing. Then why not.” Theodore commented. “Even this poetry was his words.”

“I know because you’re not capable of such things,” Liara said, setting his hair before walking out of the room.

“So, what am I capable of?” Theodore questioned her.

“I don’t know. We never stayed together that much. So, I don’t know much about you.” Liara replied, to which he frowned. They had been in a relationship for more than two years, and she was telling him that she didn’t know him enough. He observed a playful smile on her lips that was when he realized that she was messing with him.

“Liar!!” He mumbled, wrapping his hand around her when a male doctor greeted her.

“You both came so early?” Artemis said, looking at his mate and his mother-in-law. “So, how is Lee? Did she become a healer? I bet she would have because there is nothing that she can’t achieve. Show me your pictures with her. How was her expression when she saw you two there?” He asked multiple questions at the same time before adding.

“I must recommend your makeup brand to everyone because it doesn’t look like you both have cried wholeheartedly,” Artemis said. He was watching over both the kids while they went to attend the convocation.
