Chapter 158: Chapter 158
Theodore watched Liara taking selfies with her professors and all those because of which she was in this position today. He stood at the side and watched everyone and everything around him.
“I see; you have stopped complaining about your life,” He heard a female’s voice. He turned his head and saw Selene, whom everyone called as Moon Goddess or Mother Selene. She looked like a young lady was eighteen years old. He doubted that she was just eighteen.
“If you want to thank me for not complaining, then there…she is the reason behind it,” Theodore responded in anger and signaled her toward Liara.
“You are mad at me.”
“Give me one reason why I shouldn’t be. You turned my life living hell before she died, and then for years, I suffered because of my own guilt, hatred, and anger. This would have never happened if you wouldn’t have planned my existence.” Theodore hissed in anger.
“Tell me; you don’t watch web series, do you? Because it’s obvious that you enjoy watching drama, thriller, romance, etc., in stories of your children.” He mocked, on which Selene smiled.
“Give me your hand.”
“No, thanks. I don’t have any power.” Theodore muttered, but a second later, he left his hand moving toward her without his control. He glared at Selene, who was using her power to do this. He sighed and let her do what was happening because it was clear that he couldn’t do anything against her.
The moment his hand touched her, he reached some other world where he couldn’t see anything but heard, ‘I curse you that you will never be able to stay happy with your fated mate.’
‘Who is cursing whom?’ Theodore wondered, and then he landed in some other area, where a man was with some other woman, and a girl with white hair was watching them.
Then he landed in the middle of the war, where the lady killed that man. One after another, these things repeated in every era.
It was painful for him to watch how that white-haired lady, who was no other than Selene herself, was in so much pain after watching her mate in someone else arms and then killing him on her own hand. He observed the face of that man and quickly pulled his hand away from Selene’s hand when he recognized that man’s face.
His dress code or hairstyle was different in all those ages, but his face… how could Theodore not recognize the face of his brother-in-law?
“Calvin and Colton. They are Selene’s Mates?’
It took him a minute to realize that in all those ages, there were two men, not one. The man whom she used to kill was someone else, and the man who was with some other woman was someone else. And it had been repeated for ages.
Theodore looked at Selene again, and this time, he couldn’t get mad at her. She had a smile on her lips, but he doubted that she was happy because he had watched in pain in those glimpses of those images.
‘Who cursed you?’ He wanted to ask, but he couldn’t speak.
What the hell?
“In life, both darkness and light are important. And you are both, son of light and darkness. You’re born to balance both. You have spent your all life in the dark, so you know how to handle it so that it won’t affect the light.” Selene spoke and looked at Liara, who was taking pictures with the staff members. “And she is the light in your dark life who will always show you the right path.”
“That’s a different thing that I had paired you with two of my daughters. But…sometimes people’s deeds change their fate, and that isn’t in God or Goddess’s hand.”
‘Does that mean you can change your fate?’ Theodore tried to ask, but he failed. “What the fuck!! Why am I not able to speak?” he shouted in irritation, and everyone started looking at him as if he was an alien. “Did I speak that loud? He asked himself and looked at Selene, who had disappeared. Liara reached near him.
“Are you okay?” She asked in concern, wondering why he shouted like that.
“Yeah!” Theodore mumbled. “Here was Selene.” He spoke to check whether his voice was working or not, and thankfully it was.
“Yes. She was talking with you before leaving from here.” Liara agreed. She had watched them having a conversation. She was jealous, watching a beautiful woman beside her mate, but then, she was like Godmother to every werewolf and vampire. That thought kept her calm.
“Do you know that she is…” Theodore again couldn’t speak.
“She is…?” Liara asked when he stopped speaking.
“.... not that bad.” Theodore’s voice returned the moment he changed the topic. What was that? Whether he had to keep his mouth shut. Looked like he didn’t have any options with him. Liara smiled and caressed his cheek.
“I know that. Do you know dad was here? Mr. Seirgo, one of the guards, informed me.” Liara said with excitement. “He was here, Theo. He was here for my big day.” Tears dwelled in her eyes for both the reason, happy and sad. She was happy that Brandon was here, but she was sad that he didn’t meet her.
“If you want to meet him and then I can take you there, or you can go there on your own,” Theodore suggested, on which Liara shook her head.
“I’m his daughter, but at the same time, I’m your mate. I won’t go to that place where people have no respect for my mate.” Liara replied sternly. “Because if they speak a word against you, then I might lose my mind, and it will turn my relationship with them sourer than it is now.” She added.
‘If mom being my mother didn’t go against her mate, then I’m also her daughter. I won’t keep in contact with those people who insulted my mate and will do the same if I get that chance again.’ Liara said to Destiny, to which she agreed. Last time, they just stood against them for their mate. This time, this time… they might attack everyone for calling her mate a LOSER.
