Chapter 152: Chapter 152
“Doctor Liara H. Wayne.” Hearing her own name, Liara flashed a smile at Theodore and then around the area in search of her family, but again, she didn’t find anyone. She turned her head toward the chief guest, who was no other than Moon Goddess Selene herself.
She was looking damn so beautiful that Liara couldn’t take her eyes off her. She had long curly white hair and blue eyes. Her skin tone was fair as snow, and her lips were pink like a newborn baby.
No wonder why people with blue eyes and white hair were said to be blessed children of the Moon Goddess. She wondered whether this was really true or a myth.
“I can hear you. You know that, right.” Selene said in a teasing tone, turning Liara’s face into a deep shade of pink. Of course, she was the mother and also the goddess of both vampires and werewolves. All the student had received their degree and a couple of pictures with the Moon Goddess except Liara. She had requested to call her name at the end because she hoped that her parents would come, maybe late, but would surely come.
Selene held Liara’s hand into her and smiled at her to calm her down because Liara was hell nervous about the thing that was going to happen next.
“Liara, my daughter, you have been special from the moment you were born. It was decided from that day that you will become a healer.” Selene said, to which Liara looked at her in surprise. She wasn’t aware of this fact.
‘Does Mom & Dad know?’ Liara wondered.
Selene continued, “But I stayed back and observed you to see which path you would choose while growing up. And I’m glad, no matter what, you kept yourself free from any negative energy and proved to me that choosing you as a healer wasn’t a wrong decision. By your kind and pure heart, compassion to help everyone, and by standing for what is right.”
‘So, does education not matter to become a healer?’
Selene chuckled, hearing Liara’s inner voice, “Everything that happens in anyone’s life is a process to take them to their goal. You can also call it a test. When a pup is born, it is full of innocence with no evil intention, but when the same pup grows old, they can’t keep themselves away from seven types of sins.”
“Education, pain, practical life lesson, behaviors, love, family, and a lot of things are required to build anyone’s character. That’s why everyone is important.” Selene said, on which Liara recalled Everything that happened to her from childhood till now. “You received the power to heal yourself when you were studying, while you received a limited amount of power to heal someone else three months back the moment you completed your education. Now it’s time to give you the rightful title and the power for which you so worked hard.”
Liara’s heartbeat rose, hearing this. This was the moment.
‘Ready, Destiny?’ Selene asked through mind link, on which Destiny jumped in excitement, showing that she was super duper ready.
The next moment, Selene started chanting the spell that no one could understand except God or Goddess, but everyone in the auditorium looked at them curiously. After all, it wasn’t an everyday thing to watch Moon Goddess blessing someone.
The wind around that area changed its speed, and Liara felt that a thousand needles were pierced into her body at one single time. She bit her lips, stopping herself from crying loudly in pain. Something was happening to her, to her body, but she couldn’t understand what.
But as the second passed, the pain started becoming unbearable. Liara controlled her mind and recalled the pain that she endured because of the heat, the pain that she felt when Theodore broke her trust, the pain that she felt when she broke the bond, the pain she felt when her family kicked her out, the pain that she had to go throw by staying in long distance relationship shit….
Selene smiled at Liara, knowing that the amount of pain that she was handling at this moment was something that no wolf could bear, but there was a lot more to go.
“Aaaaaaaaa!!!!!!” Liara screamed in pain when she felt like she could die now. Her knees started becoming weak, making her feel like she would fall down any moment.
“STOP IT.” Theodore roared in anger and concern, but Selene ignored him. “I said, STOP TORTURING MY MATE.” Theodore left his chair and was ready to attack Selene when Liara screamed for the second time.
