Chapter 153: Chapter 153

Selene looked at him but didn’t leave Liara’s hand. “To become the sun, one has to burn like a sun.” She said, looking at him, but her words were for everyone present there who were calling Liara lucky and blessed. It was easy to say that success was easy for him or her by looking at that person at the peak of the mountain, but most people never gave a damn about the part that climbing the mountain was not that easy.

“I said…”

“NOOOOOO…” Liara cried. “Nooooo, Theo!! I can do this.” She screamed. Theodore gritted his teeth and looked at his mate, whose body was now glowing white. He remembered that it used to be green in the beginning stage.

He couldn’t help himself and still go near her. But this time, not with the thought to attack Selene but in case Liara would need him or in case she fell down because she looked exhausted. He couldn’t understand what kind of pain this was because he couldn’t feel a thing through the mate bond.

One thing was for sure; this pain wasn’t causing her any damage to her body.

After a few seconds, Liara stopped screaming as she felt the pain had either started reducing, or her body got habitual to it. At the same time, she felt an enormous amount of power in her body.

‘Be like water, the softest of all things, yet the most powerful.’ Liara heard Selene’s words in her mind and watched her leave her hand, only to get wrapped by her mate’s arms around her waist, who looked at her in concern and then glared at Moon Goddess.

Liara hugged him back tightly, and at that moment, Theodore felt it. Liara’s new power was crushing him in her arms. He had hugged her a few hours before, and at that moment, he didn’t feel this power.

But now, she might end up killing him with her new powers.

Liara felt a pain in her back, and soon she realized it wasn’t her pain but Theodore's. She let him go quickly and looked at him in concern.

‘Is he hurt? How? When?’ Liara wanted to ask but was interrupted by Selene.

“Liara, why don’t you share your journey with everyone because there are a lot of people between us who think that you’re favored.” She said, on which Liara’s eyes widened. She had a stage fear, and she had to tell everyone about her life. Moon Goddess would be kidding her.

‘Let it go, Liara. Don’t let your fear hold you back anymore.’ Selene’s voice rang in her mind, and she stepped aside, settling on her chair along with other gods and goddesses, giving the whole stage her. Liara was nervous and scared about this. She looked at the crowd, who was looking at her. She then looked at Theodore, who was standing for her. The expression on his face was telling her that he would be there to support her, no matter what she decided.

Liara closed her eyes in search of her best friend, ‘Destiny?’

‘I’m always with you, girl.” She heard her voice, and then a wolf appeared in her mind. Liara was shocked to see the color of Destiny’s coat. It had turned into show white color from red.

The white wolf was rare and a blessed wolf. It was said that even Moon Goddess had a white wolf with blue eyes, but her wolf had a moon shape design at her head. At the same time, Destiny was now a white wolf with black eyes and with a golden rim at the corner of her eyes.

‘Your coat?.’

‘I know. It looks so beautiful, right?’ Destiny squealed in happiness.

‘How do you feel?’ Liara asked, feeling happy for her.

‘Like I have used a lot of talcum powder all over my body.’

Liara chuckled at her choice of words and opened her eyes, and looked at the crowd again, searching for a couple of faces, but they were not there. She composed herself and spoke, “Hello, Everyone; I’m not good at sharing my story. If you want to know anything about me, then you can ask on your own. I will answer that.”

“Why none of your family members is here except your mate?”

“Is it because you chose your mate over your family?”

“Is it true that your father kicked you out of his life?”

“What kind of father is he? Does he want to separate his daughter from her fated mate? Disgusting.”

‘These people, instead of asking about our success story, they are more interested in our personal life.’ Destiny sneered. Liara knew how people were interested in gossip and spices rather than useful information. She felt that she would make her father proud, but these questions were making her feel that they were asking to insult her father.
