Chapter 41: Chapter 41
Damon headed to the barracks where Belinda was training, and one his way there, he saw Megan, heading the same way too.
“You are going to watch her, aren’t you?” She teased and winked at him, but Damon wasn’t having it.
“Not now, Megan.” He responded coldly.
“Why? What’s wrong?” She asked worriedly, staring at his face.
“I think Belinda and I haven’t been doing a good job keeping our relationship a secret. Mom and Dad think something is happening between us.” Damon answered, and Megan exhaled loudly.
“I don’t like the sound of that.”
“Neither do I, Megan. Mr Theron even knows I marked her.” He whispered, and Megan’s eyes popped wide open.
“What? How did he know?!”
“I have no idea, Megan. But it’s Mr Theron. One can’t keep a secret from him forever. Though, he promised not to say anything to our father, and that I should keep things low or I’ll lose Belinda forever. Mother hates the idea of us being friends, talkless of being together, father also cannot let that happen. It’s almost impossible for us to ever come out boldly to everyone who we truly are to each other.” Damon explained sadly, and thereafter, his eyes fell on Belinda, who was punching a big bag of sand.
“This is something we had always known, Damon. We knew from the very beginning that our parents can’t know about your relationship. So, it’s left to you to decide what you want to do. Yolanda and I have been together for over three years and no one suspects us.”
“That is because no one would ever believe you two are gay. Plus, she’s a beta of the pack. There will definitely be a closeness between you two. This is totally different.”
“It’s simple, Damon. Be more careful with how you approach and even talk to her in public. If possible, don’t talk to her at all in public. Talk to her about it and make her understand.” Megan advised.
Damon heaved a sigh and nodded. “I will. I hope this time, we will be able to stay away from each other, because no matter how hard I try to stay away, I keep wanting her anytime I set my eyes on her.”
“Then, you’ll have to control yourself. This is what your relationship takes, Damon.” Megan added as they both stared at her.
“Just staring at her makes my heart race. Arrgggh. I am so tempted to go to her and embrace her. Look how radiant she is.” Damon admired and complimented her as he couldn’t get his eyes off her.
“Then don’t go anywhere close to her. Watch me fight her.” Megan uttered, pulling out her sword and approaching Belinda.
“Why not pick on something more like yourself.” Megan uttered with a smirk, and Belinda chuckled.
“Princess Megan. You’re here.” She responded, looking around to see if Damon was around too. When she saw him, a large smile hit her face and she waved at him happily.
“I’m standing in front of you with a sword and all you can do is wave at a man?” Megan responded, trying to provoke Belinda and make her focus on her.
“You know I like things like this.” Belinda responded, grabbing her sword too. As they fought, Damon stood afar, staring at Belinda.

Queen Marlena stood meters away from the barracks, staring at Damon as he stared at Belinda.
‘The way he stares at her… it pisses me off.’ Marlena thought as she glared at Belinda too.
She wanted only one person for Damon and that was Maisie. She seemed like the best maiden she had ever come across, and she wasn’t going to stop until they got together.
While still watching them, Isla sighted the Queen while she was taking a walk, and she proceeded to greet her.
“Queen Marlena. Good day, her majesty. You’re looking absolutely stunning as always.” Isla complimented and gave her a slight nod as she stood next to her.
“Isla, how are you today?” The Queen asked, taking a glance at her before looking at Damon and Belinda again.
She needed evidence to show her husband that he should get rid of the red-furred wolf, and she didn’t want to be distracted.
“You seem pretty bothered, My Queen. Can I help you with anything?” Isla asked as she traced the sight of the queen to Belinda. She saw it as the perfect time to finally get rid of her.
“Are you friends with that girl? The red-furred wolf?” Marlena asked, turning her head to look at Isla.
“Friends? I’m sorry, my queen but I am not friends with her and can never be friends with her. Right from when she got into this kingdom, my inner self has always hated her.” Isla uttered, showing total disgust.
“That makes two of us.” Marlena answered, folding her arms and looking at Belinda again.
“My Queen, why can’t you just ask her to leave? Knowing she is a red-furred wolf is enough reason to get her out of here.” Isla insisted.
“Yes, I know, Isla. But the king believes she’ll be of advantage to us in this kingdom. Before I can get rid of her, there needs to be a candid reason. Almost like a crime before I can talk to the king about it.”
“Tell me what you want me to do, my Queen. I’ll do everything to remove this bothered look from your face.”
Queen Marlena turned to look at Isla and Isla bowed. “You’ll do anything?” She further inquired.
“Yes, my queen.” Isla answered, keeping her head lowered.
“Make sure you bring me reasons and evidence, candid enough to spend that girl packing. I give you one week to do this. Failure to do this, then you’ll be punished.” Queen Marlena uttered and turned to leave.
Isla’s heart thumped against her chest after hearing the condition attached to her ruining Belinda.
‘Now I have to work harder to get you out of her, Belinda. You are not ready for what is yet to come.’ Isla thought, letting out an evil smirk.
