Chapter 27: Chapter 27
“Why won’t you kill her, Cephas?! She is right there, helpless and harmful! Why can’t you just end this once and for all?!” Maeve smacked as they entered the house.
“And then we forget that everything happened?! Don’t you get it?! That girl kept me on my toes for months! You think I’ll just kill her and then it will all be forgotten? Never!”
“So what do you want to do now?! Keep her on that tree until that wolf comes to save her again?”
“Yes, Maeve! That is exactly what I plan on doing. And when he comes, he'll be captured and then we’ll kill both of them together! That’s my plan.”
Maeve stepped back and shook her head.
“Maisie is in love with him! We can’t kill him, okay?! He is her fiancée.”
“I don’t care, Maeve. He humiliated me, alongside that girl on the tree. Both of them will pay for this.”
“Cephas, you are obsessed with this girl. Now, I can see that clearly. I didn’t want to believe that before but now I see it.”
“Stop saying such things, Maeve. You know how much I hate when people take me for granted. First, I’ll kill that wolf she sees as a savior in front of her, then I’ll kill her.”
“Do whatever you want to do, Cephas. I’ve done more than enough, and I’ve wasted my time enough on this girl.” She muttered and walked out of the house, slamming the door on Cephas.
Cephas clenched his jaw and walked out of the house to meet Belinda where she was tied. He stood in front of her and stared at her for minutes, without uttering a word.
Belinda scoffed and looked away. “You miss using me as your plaything, don’t you? Well, that can never happen again.” Belinda murmured as she shivered in the cold.
Cephas narrowed his gaze at her and shook his head. He moved closer to her and stared at the mark on her neck.
“I knew something was off about you. Who is he? Your little wolf?” Cephas mocked.
“He isn’t little! You of all people should know that! After how much he has frustrated you these past months.” Belinda spat.
Cephas reciprocated by hitting her very hard in the face. “Don’t you dare talk to me anyhow! You know what I’m capable of!”
“What else can you do? The greatest thing you can do to me is kill me, and you know what? I am not scared of death, or you. I won’t let you scare me again.”
Blood slowly flowed out of Belinda’s burst lips as she gave Cephas a stern look.
Cephas raised his brows showing how impressed he was, and he moved away from her. ‘Impressive.’
“That little wolf of yours must have done a lot of work, making you this bold to talk to me in that manner. But let’s forget about him now… you lost the baby, didn’t you?” He asked in a low tone.
Belinda scoffed and shook her head. “What baby?”
Cephas grabbed her chin in anger and tightened his grip. “You know exactly what I mean, you Slave! You lost the baby?”
“With pleasure. I would never have a baby for a man like you! Never.” Belinda grunted as she spoke. The pain she felt from his grip was becoming unbearable.
It was as if he was about to crush her jaw into pieces.
Cephas threw her head to the side as he let go of her. “Pray that your wolf comes here on time, so that I can put you out of this nightmare for good.” He uttered and turned to walk away.
Belinda lowered her head and began to pant seriously. She wasn’t sure where such courage to face Alpha Cephas came from.
Maybe because she wasn’t with Prince Damon the time he needed her the most, or maybe because she’s scared Prince Damon would come to her rescue and he’d have to face Alpha Cephas again, for this reason, she wanted to kill him with everything in her.
‘I can’t let him touch Prince Damon again because of me. He has suffered enough. He doesn’t deserve any of this.’ Belinda thought as she broke into tears.
“Alpha Cephas!” Belinda called in tears, making him stop abruptly.
He turned his head and looked at her above his shoulder. “What?” He answered dryly.
“Please don’t touch him. I’m the one you want, and here I am. He has nothing to do with all of these.” Belinda begged.
“He doesn’t?” Cephas scoffed and walked back to her.
“That wolf had to enter my territory to rescue you! Why? Why did he have to do that? Let’s assume he was pretty moved by what he saw, what about fighting against Titus, my Beta, stopping him from bringing you back? This same wolf has marked you, hasn’t he? And you say he has nothing to do with these?”
“No, he doesn’t.” Belinda answered, shaking her head.
“I know you care about him so much, and to some extent, he does care about you, and I know he’ll show up. He’s your weakness even though you have always been weak… I can’t wait to see the look on your face when I kill him.” Cephas uttered with gritted teeth.
Belinda clenched her jaw and stared at him with great hatred. She wanted to hurt him so much but she was helpless and weak. She yearned for a miracle.
She looked at her side and saw Maeve staring at them.
“Alpha Cephas, are you just angry about this wolf coming into your territory or you’re jealous he is sleeping with me, the same way you used to?!” Belinda yelled.
Alpha Cephas’ eyes widened in great shock, and without hesitation he smacked her very hard in his face. “How dare you?!” He roared.
Belinda smirked and looked at Maeve who was already approaching them in anger.
“What is she talking about, Cephas?!” Maeve mumbled in anger, and Cephas looked at her in shock.
“Maeve…”
“Tell me, Cephas! What is she talking about?!” Maeve yelled in a shaky tone.
“She is spitting nonsense and trying to frustrate me, Maeve. Don’t tell me you believe the nonsense she just spat out.” Cephas scoffed, trying to hide his fear of her knowing the truth.
Maeve’s face wrinkled up as her eyes got teary. She shook her head and ran off as she burst into tears.
“Maeve!” Cephas called and began to run after her. “You’ll regret this!” Cephas said to Belinda.
Belinda spat out the blood in her mouth, and licked her burst lips, doing the same thing.
‘Since you have been marked, you have been so brave. I think this is a good sign.’ Her inner self spoke to her.
“Shut up.” She murmured, trying to adjust her body under the tight ropes that bound her to the tree.
‘Don’t try talking to me if you won’t take over my body and help me out in this situation. Am I even a wolf at all?!’

“This is strange. I haven’t seen Belinda today. It’s almost noon. She would have come out here to practice.” Princess Megan stated as she and Yolanda walked in the training hall.
“Maybe she went to bed late. Remember she did that recently.” Yolanda answered, wishing that they could stop talking about Belinda immediately.
“I don’t know, Yolanda. It’s kind of weird. This is kinda too late for her not to have stepped out of her room. Don’t you think so?”
“I don’t think anything when it comes to Belinda, Megan. All I think about is you, and right now I want to talk about us, not Belinda.”
Megan sighed and bounced her head reluctantly. She could feel something was wrong somewhere, but then she waved it off.
‘Maybe I’m just overthinking things.’
“So… let’s talk about us.” Megan answered, and Yolanda smiled and bounced her head.
“So you don’t remember what today is?” Yolanda asked, and Megan furrowed her brows.
“Today?” She asked, and Yolanda sighed and shook her head.
“You always forget, Megan. Today makes it three and a half years we have been together. How could you forget?” Yolanda uttered with a frown.
“Oh my… I’m sorry, Yolanda. Believe me, I never meant to forget. These past months, I’ve been…”
“Focusing on Belinda, instead of us?” Yolanda cut her in.
“Megan!” Damon called from the door of the training hall, and both of them looked at him.
“Good morning, my prince.” Yolanda greeted. Damon answered with a rapid nod and called Megan, using his eyes as a signal.
“Excuse me, Yolanda. We’ll talk about this later. I promise.” Megan said to her, and didn’t wait for a response before approaching Damon.
“And where have you been?” Megan asked in almost a whisper as soon as she got closer to him.
“I can’t find Belinda anywhere. Did she tell you anything? I had a very bad dream that she was captured by some evil people overnight, after we both talked about what happened last night, and ... ”
“Slow down, Damon! What happened last night?” Megan asked, and Damon clenched his jaws.
“I was attacked… again.” He said, and her eyes popped wide open. “What?! With Ayman next to you?!”
“Lower your voice, Megan! Someone may hear you. He was with me and helped me and that is why I’m not dead yet. I had to face an Alpha, and he was way stronger. I was very injured but I’m all healed now.”
“Damon, if our father knew that you were attacked again, he would put all the blame on Belinda.”
“And that is why I told Ayman to shut up about it. He promised not to say a word to him. After him, and Belinda, you are the only one who knows this. After the dream, I woke up and rushed to her chamber only to realize that she’s gone!”
“Gone?”
“Yes, Megan! Gone! I’ve looked everywhere for her and she’s nowhere to be found. I think my dream wasn’t actually a dream, but a vision. I think Belinda is in danger, and she isn’t within our boundaries as we speak. We are connected so I can feel it.” Damon uttered, panting.
“Oh my… but, we need to tell Father about it, he will help us look for her.”
“No! That’s a bad idea, Megan. And you know that. I think I know where she could be.”
“Where?” Megan nervously asked.
“I think she is with Alpha Cephas as we speak, and I’m going to go get her.” Damon uttered and grasped his fist in fury.
