Alice Pov

"Adam you are so funny, please tell me the details"i laughed

"that's for me to know and you to find out"he said

"let me guess, jake taught you "I said

"no, it's my thing"he said

"Nah Jake says that too, or is it the reigning way to flirt"i said

"we have a visitor "he said

"I didn't hear anythin..."I said and immediately heard a knock

"sure, you were busy accusing me of flirting "he winked at me

"not now, just answer the door, it may be an important person other than you"i said and he rolled his eyes

"Hann... "

"what are you calling her for, go and get the door your self"i said

"but isn't that part of what my dad employed her for "he said

"so? Can't you just answer the door, you are so lazy "I said and he sighed

"whatever "he stood up and headed to the door.

"and get me some water when you are coming back"i said and he glared at me.

He opened the door and I was about turning to face my phone but stopped when I saw Jenny..

"arhhhh"we both screamed and ran to hug each other

I could see Adam holding both his eyes and I delibrately screamed louder.

I could have dragged down his hands, good for him.

"please bring my sparkling water Adam, be a little fast, me and Jean are about going out"i said and he sent me deadly glares as be walked into the kitchen

"no way, I already went out twice today, first with Jake and then Jace "she said

"Jace "I winked at her and she blushed

"why are you blushing"i asked

"nothing"she smiled trying to keep a strict face

"or don't tell me that you like hi..."

"here is your water"adam said as he handed me the water

"Nah am good"i laughed and he almost killed me with his glares

"bye love "I kissed him and dragged Jean out before he kills me.

"I told you that am tired, my leg and body are sore" she said

"sorry but you have to endure and enjoy today because this is your birthday gift, then the other Jake is.......has done that already"i stuttered and she stared at me closely

"what are you hiding"she asked and I immediately started to sweat

Jake is gonna kill me if I spoil his plan and yeah he has already told me about our mission. And in that mission, my own part is to distract her since he's going to be buying stuffs online and they are going to be knocking on their door step 24-7.

I looked at Jean and she was still staring at me awkwardly.

"what are you hiding"she said using her detective eyes and sticking her chin.

It will be so cool if she becomes a detective. So that she will solve the case of my missing shades.

"wow, did you go shopping today because you are sparkling "I said

"no but am glad am sparkling and thanks for noticing "she beamed

I know my ways around her inquisitive character. I always win.

"girlfriend let's go"i said

"when do you ever use that word 'girlfriend'?"she asked

"just now"i said

"okay look am tired so tell Adam to drive us to were you want us to go"she said and I sighed

"I want it to be only us, girlfriend "I said

"okay, stop the girlfriend stuff it's making me feel weird "she said

"sorry"i said

"ooh, I can't wait to turn 18, I really need a car"she said and I rolled my eyes and hailed a cab

After a few minutes of an awkward drive we arrived.

I was happy that was through, the driver was stealing glances at me, it seems like he was a fan. What made me angry was when Jenny almost gave him my number and she teased me over every little complement he gives me...

"a restaurant really? "she asked as I paid the driver who gave me a flirty smile and I smiled back just finale to be friendly.

"it's a Chinese restaurant "I said and rolled my eyes

"ewww, worst"she yelled

"I despise you"i said and she rolled her eyes

"good"she said

"so let's go in, stop grumbling"i said and dragged her into the restaurant

The waiter arrived at our table immediately we sat down.

Jenny continued to battle with her food, I don't blame her cause that's how I did when Adam took me her... Oh..so many memories.

I started to feel uncomfortable, like am being watched but a lot of people are here and maybe the person staring at me is a crazy fan.. Whatever.

Unknown Pov

I walking down the street thinking about my love life when I sighted the girl that Jace was talking about... That he's inlove with eeew, I feel like puking, how can he leave me for a lowlife and a famous girl who I think doesn't even like him.

FYI Jace was my ex, well, he left me before he even met that thing, she's lucky she's famous, if not she'd be gone by now.

I gotta get close and listen to their conversation maybe I can use something against her.

She was clearly battling with her food, even a famous person had never been to a Chinese restaurant before, so not classy..

I found my way close to their table and eavesdropped on them, with my phone in the recording their conversation, gladly smiled after listening, I got what I wanted, like I said she's just a lowlife and Jace thinks he can get her with that his status..

No way, he's mine now.

If you are wondering why I want him back even in his condition. Well, Jace is the most handsome, caring, loving and charming boyfriend I have ever had and I need him back I hate to say this but he's like the only one who understands me and I need him..

After recording their conversation, I strolled out of the restaurant a little angry, because I got some heart ache, but if I want him to believe I have to cut out that part, I'll do that when am in a cab and i immediately hailed a cab to Jace house. Victory here I come.

Jenny Pov

"so.. Tell me about jace"she said and my cheeks got red

Why does that happen when ever I hear his name..

"don't you know enough "I said

"come on, tell me, you told me recently that Dave asked you out and now Jace is being well Jace"she said and I rolled my eyes

"look nothing is going on between me and Jace, okay? "I said and faced my food, which I don't have an appetite for.

"I don't believe you"she said

"can I tell you the truth?"I asked

"I'm your best friend so you don't really have a choice"she smiled and I let out a small groan

"fine, the reason I was been friendly to Jace is because I wanted Dave to be jealous and come back to me you know"i said and she looked at me awkwardly

"what? "she asked

"but that was in the past, now I really enjoy his company, he's caring and..."

"hmm, sound like someone's inl.. "

"don't say it"i said

"OK, I admit it I think, I kinda like like Jace"i said shyly

"I knew it"she screamed and I immediately sighted someone leaving the restaurant, she looked a bit familiar but who cares...

"so what will you do"she asked

"well, you are single and so is he, so you guys should, you know"she winked at me

"by what you just said, I sensed that you don't love Dave, in fact you never did maybe it was just a crush"she saidand I gasped a little

"seriously "she pouted and I couldn't help but laugh and my thoughts went to that girl I saw leaving just some minutes ago.

Why am I thinking of that, I have more pressing matters to attend to.

Jace Pov

I watched as my mom and Mr Alex laughed and talked like they were teenagers.

I must admit that I felt lost, when I was little I was sad that I didn't have a dad and my mates did, I felt jealous each time I see them with their dads but I was all alone, left out. But now I got a dad, the best wish I ever wanted, an awesome blessing but I don't value it. Jean was right, I should take advantage of this rare gift.

They stopped their little scene when they saw me.

"Mr Alex can we talk"am still having a hard time calling him dad so..

"sure"he smiled and I must say he's handsome.

"I will leave you men to talk"mom said and walked away

"what is it son"he smiled sheepishly

"OK look, I know that you are my dad but this son thing is getting out of hand"i said

"am sorry"he said

"it's okay"i said and there was a long silence

"I apologize for my rude behavior dad... "I said and saying 'dad' made me a little nausea

"did you just call me dad? "his eyes beamed

"aren't you my dad"i smiled and he made his way to hug me

"let's go out together, I want to know you more"i said as I pulled from the hug

"am sorry Jonathan but I have a meeting right now"she said glancing at his watch

"don't worry, we'll go out tomorrow "he said and I smiled

"I should get going Jonathan see you later"dad said and left
