"there's something I want to show you" she said

I was about taking the phone

"wait a minute, when exactly is Jenny's birthday "she asked and I froze

"why do you ask"i said

"I just want to know"she smiled

"OK, it's just some days near"i said

"ooh, don't worry I know what to do"she said retreating her phone

"I thought you had something to show me"i said

"not anymore"she said walking to the door

"See you later handsome"she blew me and kiss and walked out

"OK that was strange, what's up with her? "I muttered and shrugged

Speaking of which, Jean's birthday is closer, I gotta go...

Jean's birthday

I got up early today, well, you know what today is right?

I can not wait...

I rushed to the bathroom and did what was needed to be done, slipped on my best clothes.

I was checking out myself in the mirror when someone banged the door.

"what is it Genevieve "I yelled

"stop shouting, aren't you done already"she said from outside

"almost"i said

We'll, she insisted on coming to the party, and she had to stay in my house because her house is quite a distance to Jean's house.

If you're wondering why I relate with my ex like this ,well, I'm not the type that will be uncomfortable, we had a history yeah but that's over now we are best of friend, I don't mean best friends.

I have a surprise gift for her.

We made our way to my dad who was standing close to my gift for Jean.

"So you're buying a drink for me as my birthday gift? "I asked

"pipe down, were you expecting a car?"he laughed

"yeah, yeah I was, I even thought you guys would throw a party"i said

Minutes later we arrived at home, sighting it from where I stood, there was something different about it that I couldn't pin point.

Everyone was there, Jace, Nikki, Jace dad and even Dave, well it wasn't only them, they were others.

"oh my gosh, I knew it, I could tell something was fishy"i said

"happy birthday, Jenny"nikki said and hugged me

They took turns, and I couldn't help but notice how cute Jace looked with his hair gelled, I bit my lower lip when he walked up to me with a girl behind him who looked really familiar.

"Emm, this is Genevieve, Genevieve this is Jenny

"Happy Birthday "she said and I smiled just to be friendly while jealous was burning inside me.

How did she know him, are they dating.

There's something fishy about her.

"let's have some drink"he said to me

He took me to a big gift box, the size alone could....I just saw the most biggest gift I think. I wonder what will be inside.

"what is it? "I stuttered

"just look"he said and the box started shaking and I shivered

Did he bring me here to die, it is so scary. Closing my eyes was the only thing that I could think of, don't judge me, you would do the same if it was you.

"Happy Birthday Jean"someone said and the voice made me open my eyes.

It seems like they were inside the box because it was tored.

"geez"i screamed as I ran into their warm embrace

I missed their scent, like really missed it.

Enough of that, it's my birthday party, so let's get this party started.

Just then Jace was walking towards me with his hands in his pocket, his boyish look looking nervous a little, his attitude sometimes gets me all high and tensed.

"hello, can we take a drink"he said shyly.

"sure"i blurted out

I totally forgot that it people were dancing.

"where's the girl,you came with"i asked

"Genevieve is having fun"he smiled

"I was meaning go ask, is she your friend or you know"i said trying to hide my jealousy

"wow don't be jealous she's just a friend"he said

"am not jealous "I said shyly tucking my hair behind my ears

"yeah"i said and took a sip of my drink at the same time trying not to blush

"sure thing"he said and shifted back and we stood in silence

He looked at me awkwardly and kinda like he wanted something or me?

That single thing made me blush and I quickly looked away from his stare and caught Dave and Genevieve talking, for some reason am not jealous.

I turned back and still caught his gaze which sent goosebumps into me, somehow I like the feeling, I hate to admit it but I think that am falling in love with Jace.

"Jean I...emmm, how will I say this"he stuttered still staring at me

"I like you Jean, like really like you"he said and my heart leaped

I don't know why it did that but I love the feeling, goosebumps on my body and.... He just told me he loves me, I think.

"I don't think I understand "I said trying to get the more information

He was staring at me with surprise written all over his face.

I wasted no time in reciprocating and wrapped my hands on his neck, and we kissed passionately, I mean it when I say that it was the best kiss ever.

Jace closely removed his hands with my waist and I removed my hands too.

I was kinda embarrassed but whatever, I don't give a damn.

Jace was looking at me and I smiled biting my lower lip remembering the kiss over and over again.

"Jace can we talk"she said and he folded his arms

"sure"he said relaxed

She stared at me mischeviously before she left. I still have a bad feeling about her.

Now it was just me, I kinda felt sorry for Dave, for making him pass through this... Am sorry Dave but am not sorry.

I have been waiting now and not seen Jace, I walked on the same path they both followed and immediately sighted both of them seriously talking while Jace was kinda angry or something like that.

"just stop it okay, don't pretend"she yelled at me

"Jace"I said staring at him and I saw anger.

I have never seen him like this before.

He was holding a phone and he played a recording that, well, let me just write it out for you.

"can I tell you the truth?"I asked

"I'm your best friend so you don't really have a choice"she smiled and I let out a small groan

"fine, the reason I was been friendly to Jace is because I wanted Dave to be jealous and come back to me you know"i said and

That's all he played, but that wasn't all I said.

They stopped half way, I was in tears, how can she blackmail me and Jace wouldn't even let me explain.

"hey, there is your birthday gift, I can't take it home anymore, I need to forget about you"he said and threw the car keys which fell at my feet.

"Jace no, please come back"i cried and fell on the floor

I stood up and picked the car key and ran into the house.

I don't want to go to any stupid party, I went to my room ignoring the calls of people.

I threw the key to my wardrobe, and collapsed on my bed crying heavily.

Guys are cowards, jerks, dorks.

They are so stupid.

I got heartbroken twice because of Love and guys, I have them.

Love is stupid, I will never fall in love never again. I hate it all.
