I laid in my bed facing the ceiling, as you can see am in a pretty bad mood and I don't want any disturbance,  I even rejected not going to Jean's house today,  I really miss her. I wish I could tell someone how am feeling right now but no one understands me, I am a huge mess. I fell right about something, that man is gone so am good, my mom is home and that's great because I don't want to see them together, ever..

I dozed off, I have an awful headache and I think it will go if I rest

"wake up sleepy head"mom tapped me

"I need more rest "I said sleeply

"we need to purchase some water in him"mom said

"that's not necessary ma"someone said

Wait.., I recognize that voice, it's Jean's

"I'm up"i jumped

"finally, you have a visitor "she said

"Jace how are you"jean asked

"I'll leave you two"mom said and walked out

"I'm good"i said

I could see a worried look on her face.

I'm I that important for her?

"but you didn't sound good earlier"she said

"I'm fine now, I just needed rest"i said

"okay"she said and looked around

Having her here is embarrassing since she's from a rich family and now she's in my house which looks so poor.. Not only my house but my room.

"what did you come for? "I asked politely

"I came to see if you are okay"she said

"I'm fine Jean, told you before "I said

"you are not convincing me that easily"she said

"I have an annoying, smart, doofus and psychic brother, so I have learnt alot"she added smiling broadly

"you look good"i said

"thanks "she replied shyly

"so what now? "I asked

"can we spend some time together here"she said

"sure, I just have to change"i said

"oh sorry,  I'll be in the living room "she said and left

I ran to the bathroom and took a quick shower, I need to look beyond nice, I took a second glance at myself though I wasn't satisfied I can manage.

I was about stepping out when I smelt a stinking smell that was coming from my mouth.

I ran to the sink and quickly brushed my teeth, that was close I would have met Jean like that..

I rushed out of room and saw Jean talking to my so called father, it boiled my blood and I couldn't think straight. She was laughing so hard, I don't think I have ever made her laugh like that!

Or was he flirting with her, he is old enough to be her father. Such a stupid man.

They stopped immediately I saw them, and I walked up to them trying to hold my anger.

"Jace my son how are you doing? "that grumpy old man asked and I ignored him while Jean stared at me confused

"I think I should go now, it was a pleasure meeting you Jenny"he said sadly and walked away

Better!!

Jean eyes bore into mine, seems to me like she was angry and confused.

"you know that you are acting weird right? "she asked

"I don't understand "I said

"really"she arched eye brow

"you've been acting strangely lately and now you are also acting rudely"she said

"when was I rude"i asked

"to Mr Alex"she said

"I wasn't acting rudely to him and please don't ever call his name in my presence"i said and made my way to the couch

"damn, you are so stubborn, I came to see you but because of your lousy behaviour, am off"she said and stood up.

The last thing I want is for her to go, I really need company.

"Jean, am sorry, I'm just messed up"i said

"oh, I see"she said

"I apologize for my..

"it's not me you should apologize, go tell it to Mr alex"

"am sorry but that can't be possible "I said

"why not"she asked

"look,  I just don't want to here his name or even talk to him or about him"i said truthfully

"something is bothering you, and you need to let it out"she said

"I don't think..

"shh"she said as she put her index finger on my lips

"Jace please tell me, am here for you"she said and I nodded

"are you sure"she asked and I nodded again, before she removed her finger

"am listening"she said

I told her everything, when I mean everything I mean every detail and I didn't leave any stone unturned.

"so he's your father "she said

"yeah"i said

"that's great"she smiled

"huh? "I asked

"I know that what your dad did was bad but..

"please don't call him my dad"i said and she stared at me awkwardly

"what?"I asked

"look here, if it was me I would have been so glad that I got my dad who will take me out and took teach me some man stuff if I was boy"she said and I couldn't help but smiled

"OK, I'll think about it, are you happy now? "I asked and she nodded

"okay, since we are saying this why don't you tell me what's up with you and Dave?"I asked

"nothing"she said

"is he like, your boyfriend"i asked

"no, why do you ask"she said

"the way you guys behave when you're together"i said biting my lower lip

"well, the truth is that I like him"she said and my heart sank

"but he broke my heart once and I tried to kill myself and now he wants me back"she said sadly

"I don't understand "I said

She explained from the beginning, when she met him, how she had her first kiss with him, how she fell in love with him and so did he. She also told me when he asked her to be his girlfriend and she rejected, he later moved on and got a girlfriend, and I think you know the rest so..

I feel like just ripping that Dave head off, how could he have done that to her and still come back for her again..

"so have you answered him yet? "I asked

"no, I haven't, I don't even know what to answer him so"she said

"you don't know what to tell him or you don't want to tell him your decision"i said and she looked away

"the truth is that I'm having mixed feelings, I think am inlove with someone else"she said and I felt empty

"I think that's okay for now, let's have fun"i said

"good"she said as she stood up

"what should we do?"I asked

“I was thinking about going out for a picnic in the park but me and jake just went out an hour ago so.. "she said

"I'm sure we can go"i said

"but I just..."

"Now we are going to the park, wanna come or not"i said and she stood there pondering a little

"fine"she blurted out happily

"by the way, Jake said that you need to see him "she said

"for what? "I asked

"well.. I don't know, but he was very serious "she said

"OK after the outing "I said

I dragged she out the door before she could say another word, though I was still wondering what Jake  wants me for but Jean comes first.

We arrived at the park, and I must say that it was not my type of place although it was comfortable but I'm not an outdoor kind of person except it's the museum.

"this spot is the best, no much sunlight here"she said after leg aching minutes just to find a suiting spot.

I almost sat on the grass.

"hey, we have to spread  the cloth first"she said

"but my leg hurts"i said and tried to stand

"dont worry, I'll be fast"she said and she quickly spread the cloth

"thank goodness "I said as I sat down

"ooh"i groaned touching both my waist and left leg

"are you that old? "she asked laughing and I arched my eye brow

"oh, I'm sorry, are you pregnant "she laughed

"how can I be pregnant am a man"i said and she laughed harder

"well you most be a pregnant woman because you look nothing like a man"she laughed

"if I wasn't feeling pain I would have given you a hot chase and beating when I catch you"i said

"you remind me of someone"she said

"you're brother? "I asked and she shook her head negatively

"then who? "I asked and she bowed her head

"dave"she said almost in a whisper and I sighed heavily

"I thought I told you not to think about him" i said

"you are the who reminded me"she said with her head still bowed

"OK am sorry" I said as I used my hand to raise her head using her chin

I could see little drops of tears on her cheek.

I felt a little... Why do I always feel strange when I see someone crying.

"why are you crying?"I asked

"it's nothing"she said wiping her tears

"are you sure or don't tell me that thinking  about him made you cry "I said

"you know that I am emotional"she said

"yeah but,I don't still like seeing you cry" I said

"if you have to cry please cry inside your heart and don't show it "I added and she stared at me

"you are one strange guy"she said

"strange is different and different is good"i said and she laughed

I'm happy she stopped crying.

"oh my gosh"she screamed and I flinched

"what is it? "I asked worried

"I totally forgot to bring a basket and some food"she laughed

OK this is getting out of hand.

Leg check, waist check, hand check, I think am ready...for a race.

I chased her round the park, you must know that I never back down from a race, never. Immediately I saw that she was getting tired I increased my speed and caught up to her.

"I thought your leg and waist was hurting you"she said

"it just needed a little exercise "I said and she rolled her eyes

"I'm hungry "she said

"let's get some hotdogs and get back to our spot."I said

"cool"she hopped all the way  to the hot dog stand

"I thought you were weak? "I asked

"I'm never weak"she said

We returned to our spot after buying the hotdogs. I really felt good.

We chatted like never before and I got to know things that I didn't even know. I guess am not a know it all.

Jake eventually called me, saying its urgent. Well I had to go and see him, while Jean went to meet Alice..

Jake pov

"her birthday is coming up next month" Jace asked

"yeah didn't you know?"I asked

"I totally forgot"he said

"you should know this things about her since you want her so badly"i said

"what? "he asked

"don't play dumb, I know you like my sister"i said

"how...did you know"he asked

"I am a guy, and I see the way you stare at her"i said

"do you think she likes me"he said

"well, I know my sister and what am seeing now, she does like you but does not know it yet"i said

"ooh" he said sadly

"stop sulking and let's get ready"i said

" for what? "he asked

"have you been listening to anything I said"i asked

"ooh the party"he smiled

"yeah"i said

"you don't have to be strict"he said

"sorry, I just want this to be perfect "I said

"me too"he said

"good, so let's get to work"i said

"so what's the hidden surprise anyway"je asked

"it's... {I want  it to be a surprise}

"that's cool"he said

"I can't wait "I smiled

"me too"he beamed
