What has happened to this girl? Before she used to soft-spoken, meek and timid but now she has changed. The reason is only me. I made her like this. But it's also true I can't tolerate some other man around her. If I'm the reason for her changing behavior then I'll bring her back to how she was before.

When I reached home found my dinner meal served on the table covered. But she was missing. Must be in her room. Before she used to come and welcome me by giving me a glass of water. But today she didn't come. I sat on the couch closing my eye's feeling sad and tired.

Suddenly I heard her voice. She greets me in her traditional way. And my heart jumped from its place and became alive again.

I opened my eyes and saw she is standing with a glass of water holding a smile on her face.

Her smile gave my heart a peaceful feeling. My lips automatically curved into a smile. I greet her back and took that glass from her and gulped it slowly while looking at her angelic face. After finishing it I gave it back to her.

"Go and take a warm bath. I have already served dinner for you."She said in her sweet tone.

At lunchtime, she was so hyper and now all of sudden a change came in her behavior. She is behaving so sweetly with me.

I made my way to my room and went to take a warm refreshing bath.

After that changing myself into my comfortable cloth and then came out to have my dinner.

When I reached the dining table she was lying on the sofa reading a book.

"Naina, you're not eating?"

"No, I have eaten." She said simply still keeping her eye on the book.

"What do mean by that, when you have eaten, and with whom?" I asked her still staying at my place.

"In a restaurant with my friends." Again a casual reply came from her side. Maybe it would sound simple or normal for others but not for me. She can't go with her friends without informing me. After all, I'm her legally wedded husband.

She should have informed me once.

I walked to her side and stood near her."Without informing me. Don't you think, You should have informed me once before going?"

"And one more thing, You used to say earlier that you cannot eat food before your husband. It'll bring you to sin. So where is it now, all those customs of yours?"

She closed her book making a thud sound and glared at me while sitting on the sofa.

"Why do you keep forgetting? I already told you not to interfere in my life. Neither asks any questions. Then why are you doing this all?" She yelled at me making me stunned.

"And the matter is about the tradition of our village. You're the one who often used to say that those customs are unnecessary. We should not consider all this nonsense."

"So I thought, leave all these traditions and live life freely. Moreover, Our life is limited, why waste it on unnecessary things? One day we have to leave this then why not enjoy it before death? There will be no regrets in life."

She made me speechless. I tear my gaze from her smiling face and gaze towards the dining table where the food was lying.

"Okey, enjoy. Live your life and enjoy your every minute freely. Anyway, Who am I for you, that you have to inform me before doing anything."

I said to her. But my heart was bleeding from the inside.

Don't know why having her dinner with friends made my heart hurt. It really hurt. But why? Most of the time I had my dinner outside without her but her having dinner outside made me sad and hurt.

Feeling sad I turned on my heel and made my way to my room.

"You won't eat?" I heard her from my behind.

"I have no appetite" Saying that without wasting a second I scoot towards my room.

NAINA KUMARI

"Bhabi Sa, I have a plan. Why don't we go to have dinner outside today? It'll be fun. And when you'll tell your Kunwar Sa that you have eaten dinner with your friends. He'll be very very jealous."

Putting his brilliant idea in front of me he gave me a mischievous smile. But I shake my head in denial.

"But I don't think it's a good idea. He'll be upset. If he comes to know that I have my meal before him. I have never done this. In fact, when we have our lunch here, I make sure he has eaten his first morsel before I have mine. It's against my culture. I can't do this."

"Why? Please, for my sake." Making a cute face he tried to convince me. But I was more adamant.

"Bhabi Sa, look Sameer often goes home after eating outside food. And you used to wait for him at home alone. He didn't even think it necessary to inform you once." He insisted.

"For Once. What storm will come if you do this only once? He also should realize how people feel after a longing wait when he says he has come having his dinner from outside."

"Please agree for once, sister-in-law. Can't you do this much for your one and only brother-in-law?"

Looking at his pleading face I nod in affirmative.

Now we three of us are in the restaurant. Three means Bhai Sa, Me, and Sameera. I asked her to join us. I never came to a restaurant here before.

This is my first time. I'm feeling upset thinking about coming with him to the restaurant for the first time. Alas! It can't possible in this circumstance.

Maybe in the future, we come to spend our first date at any restaurant like this. Or maybe that would be a more Amazing and romantic place.

"N, what would you like to have?" Sam's voice drags me out of my dreamland.

"I'm not eating anything. You both do order for yourself."

"But why?" Sam asked.

"How will our sister-in-law eat without her husband." Puneet Bhai Sa said sarcastically.

"Yeah yeah, of course, after all, she lo....." I eyed her not to say a word further and Puneet Bhai sa caught me doing that.

"Bhabi Sa, let her speak. You can't hide your feelings. It's like Fragrance. You can't stop it with anything. If you denied thousand times I won't believe that you don't love him. I know very well how much you love that donkey. So no need to hide your feelings from me. Consider me as your friend. You can share with me anything."

I hide my face in my palm to hide my red face from them.

"Look, she's blushing so hard." teased me. And laugh. Sam also joined him.

Without having anything I returned to our apartment. After freshening up I made dinner for him and then went to take a short nap in my room.

Some sounds make me realize that he came back from the office. With a glass of water, I went outside. He was leaning against the sofa. Hearing my voice he opened his eyes and smiled widely making me confused so I also send back a smile.

After offering water I told him to go and freshen up. After some minutes he came back when I was lying on the sofa reading a novel which I had borrowed from Sam.

I told him that I have eaten my dinner with my friends so he can have his meal.

But he didn't. Without eating anything he went to his room. And I felt bad and guilty. Because of me, he had to sleep empty stomach. And here I'm going to do the same.

One sadly left.....

And the other one, seeing him upset, she herself is tormented.
