September was planting soft kisses on Maeve's bare shoulder as they laid on the bed with nothing but a thick blanket covering their bodies.

Maeve was silently smiling with her eyes closed as she enjoy bathing in her husband's presence.

"How did you found out about the Kims?" He asked after another blissful moment.

Maeve turned and faced September who was now staring directly at her eyes. She gently caressed his face with her fingers.

"I have my ways," ahe said playfully.

"And you still won't tell me about it?" Maeve shook her head with a smile.

"That's my ace, hon. If ever you do something on ny back I'll know." September's arms snake down her bare waist and pulled her closer to his body.

"Do something like what?"

"Like having a mistress," she said as she rained kisses on his face.

"That wouldn't happen."Maeve stopped playing around and just rested her forehead against his.

"Really?"

"Hmm. My eyes can't see any other woman unless they're you." A giddy smile immediately appeared on her face as soon as she heard those cheesy words from September's lips.

"That's cheesy..."

"I love you," September replied lovingly instead making Maeve chuckled and embrace him even more. She snuggled her head in the crook of his neck and inhaled September's addictive scent.

She's been craving to smell this scent for a few days already. It looks like their baby loves his father, too.

Her eyes widened when realization hit her. She haven't mentioned about it yet!

September looked puzzled while watching his wife bolted out of the bed and confidently picked up her clothes on the floor and wore it in front of him.

"Get dressed hon. I almost forgot about my surprise gift for you,"

Maeve said as she leaned down a bit and kisses his cheeks while putting his clothes on top of their bed.

"What is it?" September asked while he was wearing his clothes. His eyes were wandering on the bathroom where his wife is.

When he think he's already decent enough he made his way towards the bathroom but before he can make it inside, Maeve already went out, hiding something on her back.

"What is it?"

"Before anything else, hon, I love you." September grinned when he heard those magic words once again.

Way back before this scheme happened, Maeve rarely say this words out loud. But now, Maeve says it with every opportunity she can get and he's loving all of it!

"I love you too, hon." He answered with a smile.

"September..."

"Hmm?"

"We're having a baby," she said looking at his face.

"Ahuh..." He said absentmindedly.

Maeve chuckled when she saw his eyes widened and his body went stiff after a few seconds.

"A baby?!"

"Hmm. A baby. I'm pregnant, hon." She said with the sweetest smile.

"A baby... We're going to have a baby!" Maeve started tearing up when she saw her husband's eyes see brimming with tears.

"Hon... We're going to have a baby," he kept on saying as if he can't believe it.

"Here," Maeve said as she put two sonograms on his palm.

"It's our baby," she said softly as she slowly caressed his hair. His eyes remained on the sonograms in his hands.

"I'm so freaking happy!" September yelled out before he pulled his wife into his arms.

"I'm so happy. Thank you, hon. Thank you so much!" Maeve's tears fell when she felt her shoulders dampening from his tears.

She gently tapped his back to comfort him. She stopped herself from chuckling when she finally heard him sob on her shoulders.

Her husband's such a softie. She smiled at that thought.

How can the most feared tycoon in the whole city be this soft?

This is only for her. For her sight only.

"I love you," she whispered once again as she tightened her arms around him.

"But where's my brother or my sister here Daddy? It's all black!" Maeve chuckled when she heard Fiona whining on the living room with September. They were both looking at the sonogram.

"I don't know either, princess."

"Do you think the doctors have superpowers, Daddy?"

"Why?" Maeve can even imagine her husband's forehead creasing. She was silently cooking while listening to the conversation of the two.

It was very much entertaining to listen to than any kind of music or shows.

Her adorable daughter and husband. Her hand unconsciously fell on her stomach.

And now, they'll be having another addition to the family.

"They can see something in here! While we don't! Don't you think they have superpowers?" She smiled when she heard September's thunderous laughter followed by Fiona's whining.

"Hey, let's eat breakfast. Fiona's gonna be late for school." September carried Fiona to the dining area where Maeve had prepared a hearty breakfast.

"Have a nice day, princess. See you later," September and Maeve waved goodbye to their daughter as she ran towards Hillary and Falcon's daughter who was waiting for her.

"Congratulations," Hillary greeted with a smile and kissed her sister's cheeks.

Maeve rolled her eyes with her sister's goody image.

"Yeah. Thanks." She said with a mocking smile as her eyes fell on Falcon's daughter.

"Have a nice day, Dove." The child smiled at her and nodded before holding Hillary's hand and Fiona's on the other.

"Let's go?" September asked as the trio went inside the kindergarten.

Last night, after September's emotional moment, he immediately scheduled a check up for her. He looks so eager so instead of saying that she just had her check up last week, she just kept her mouth shut and just watched him spoil her with a smile.

"It's still early to detect the gender of the baby but I can let you hear his heartbeat. Are you up for it?" The doctor said and September immediately nodded.

"Alright. Come'n baby, make Daddy feel you," the doctor muttered as her device goes around Maeve's belly.

September and Maeve's tears fell when they heard their child's heartbeat for the first time.

This was the most beautiful sound they have ever heard.

The sound of the life they created.

"Thank you, hon. Thank you so much." September whispered gratefully as he kissed his wife's forehead.
