Chapter 55: Chapter 55

"September!" September came rushing to their room holding a spatula when he heard his wife calling out to him.

He was wearing a pink apron with a huge heart print in the middle. The words 'Best Dad in the World' was printed with large letters inside the heart.

"What's wrong, hon?" He asked worriedly as he walked over their bed where Maeve with a nine months old tummy was panting hard.

"I think she's coming out!" She said and once again screamed in agony as she felt another contraction.

September's eyes widened as he hastily put the spatula by their table side as he called for his eldest.

"Yes, Dad?" Fiona who was now seven, looked at her parents with questioning eyes as she enter the master bedroom.

"Fiona, please prepare your mom's bag and the baby bag too. And please hurry, wake up Freazel too," he instructed as he carried the panting and groaning wife out of their room.

"It's alright hon, you got this," he whispered as he kissed the top of their head.

Unlike the first time, when Maeve gave birth to their son, Freazel, where September almost faint in worry and panic, he now looked calm and composed.

"Fiona!" He called out as he starts the car.

"Hang on there, hon. Just a little bit more," he said as he leaned down a bit on the backseat and kissed his wife's forehead.

A little while later, Fiona opened the passenger seat and put the seatbelt over the still sleepy, seven-years old Freazel. She then closed the passenger seat and sat on the backseat with her mom.

Fiona lovingly and gently let her mom laid down on her thighs as September drove the car.

"Hello, Falcon? Ready the delivery room, my wife's about to give birth!" He said after Falcon answered his call with a groggy voice.

"Alright. We're coming too, sir." September ended the call and took a glance at his wife who was now panting and sweating from the pain.

"We're almost there, hon. Almost there," he muttered as he step on the gas and endlessly pressed his horn to let the people give way.

"September! Aughhh!" Maeve gripped on her husband's hands as she breath hard while trying to take their princess out.

Unlike Freazel which didn't give her long hours of labor, their princess is quite stubborn and too playful inside her.

"Come'n princess, don't give Mommy a hard time," September muttered as he gently caressed her huge stomach with his free hand.

Maeve was panting hard and sweating so much as doctors and nurses help her deliver their princess.

"This is the last time, September! I'm telling you! This is the last time!" She screamed after talking as she pushed harder when she felt another tugged on her insides.

Maeve's back fell on the bed as soon as she felt something sliding out of her. A moment later, the delivery room was finally filled with the cry of a new life.

"Thank you, hon." Maeve heard her husband whispered as he kissed her sweaty forehead.

A teardrop slid down her face as soon as she felt the warmth coming from their newly born princess.

"She's so pretty like you, hon." September muttered with joy as the child tightly held his finger.

"France!" Fiona and Freazel called out in unison as soon as they saw the nurse entering the suite pushing a baby carrier.

"She's so tiny!" Freazel exclaimed as he watched her baby sister move around the baby carrier.

"You're just as tiny as she was five years ago, Freazel," Fiona said as she made cooing sounds which made the baby smile.

"Wahhh! You made her smile! Daddy! Fiona made France smile!" Freazel excitedly said as he turned around to face his father who was now busy wiping Maeve's face with a dampened towel.

"Yes, baby. Careful not to hurt her, okay?" He said as he set aside some of Maeve's hair.

He just finished freshening her up before he let her rest and turned his attention to their children.

"May I?" He asked the nurse who immediately nodded and helped him took the child from the carrier.

September's heart was dancing with glee as he carried their youngest princess in his arms.

Francesca Thorne. Their beautiful princess.

"Daddy loves you, little one." He whispered as he gently rewarded her small forehead a gentle kiss.

Years ago, starting up a family was never a part of his plans. He never thought of having these three wonderful angels beside him and a beautiful and loving wife.

Life was indeed full of surprises.

The door opened revealing Falcon with her daughter, followed by Hillary.

"How's my sister?" Hillary asked as soon as she entered the suite.

"She's alright. Just resting," Hillary sighed in relief before her eyes travelled to the bundle of joy in his arms.

"Is this our little princess over here?" She asked as she took a few steps towards September to take a look at the baby.

"Awww, she looks a lot like Maeve!" She said as she stared at the baby.

"Right," September answered proudly.

"Hillary, you're too noisy," everyone in the room turned to look at Maeve who was now awake.

September gently gave his daughter to the nurse before he walked back to his wife to check how she feels.

"I felt hell," she answered making him chuckle.

"I'm sorry 'bout that, hon." He said still smiling.

"Where is she? Can I hold her?" She asked excitedly.

The nurse walked towards them, carrying the baby in her arms.

"She's so pretty," Maeve absentmindedly muttered as she stared at her daughter's face.

"Yes, she is. Just like you, hon. Just like you," he whispered as he kissed the top of her head.

September thought that Maeve would be the greatest gift he would ever received in his life. But having to be able to stay with her and build a family with her is even better.

This is September's End.

The sweetest downfall of the great manipulator.

The End.
