●Ray's P.O.V.●

"She will be fine, right?" Daniel Hyung asked with his devastated face.

"She will be. " I assured Daniel Hyung while wiping my tears.

I realised I was crying. I wasn't sure why the tears were making their way out of my eyes.

Because I was scared for Nuri's life?

Or was I scared to see Daniel Hyung and Nuri get separated from each other?

Finally, Daniel Hyung took a seat at a little distance from the ICU, and he kept staring at the room door. I sat beside him.

I didn't realise until now that I had taken Daniel Hyung as my closest friend.

"When did it happen?" I mumbled under my breath.

Then I turned my gaze to Daniel Hyung, who was still staring at the ICU with his blank expression.

"Exactly how much he loves Nuri?" I asked myself as I stared at his blood-stained shirt.

"Daniel, Ray?" A female voice approached us.

Glancing over Daniel Hyung's head, I noticed Yoonah Noona was standing there while panting. Jeena was there too. They soon made their way near us. I stood up.

"How is she?" Yoonah Noona asked.

"She fell from the 1st floor. And became unconscious." I said.

"I think she will be better then. One floor mustn't have done more than breaking some bones or minor injury, right?" Jeena asked with hope.

"The building she was kept was an abandoned building, and the ground floor of it was filled with wreckage and glass pieces.

She landed on some glass pieces, and those pieces pierced inside her body." I explained and licked my lips.

Jeena and Yoonah Noona pressed their mouths with their hands as they got scared.

"Daniel Hyung has successfully pulled out the glass pieces from her body except one.

It has pierced her scalp. We don't know how deep it is inside." I stuttered while explaining as I felt weak inside thinking about Nuri.

"Oh no.." Yoonah Noona murmured as she shifted her gaze towards Daniel Hyung.

She slowly took a seat beside Daniel Hyung.

"Daniel…?" Yoonah Noona called.

Daniel Hyung spun around to face Yoonah Noona. Though, he didn't answer anything.

"Everything will be fine." Yoonah Noona said.

Daniel Hyung blinked a couple of times without saying a word. Then suddenly, his tears rolled out of his eyes.

After two hours, the Doctor came out of the ICU. And Daniel Hyung ran to him.

"How is she?" He asked with his worried and timid voice.

The doctor gave Daniel Hyung a look of suspicion before opening his mouth.

"Her injury was deep. We had to clean and then stitch many parts of her body where we found little glass pieces inside her skin.

But the most severe injuries she had were in her head. One happened because of her head hitting something solid, and the other injury happened because of A glass piece piercing inside her scalp.

Both injuries were deep, and needed stitches more than I expected."

"Is she- she out of danger?" Daniel Hyung stuttered while asking.

"First, tell me, How did she end up with those injuries? Did you two---"

The doctor thought Daniel Hyung hurt Nuri, and I had to jump in between them.

"Doctor, Nuri was kidnapped! And a kidnapper pushed her from a certain place, and She ended up being injured this much." I explained the whole thing in one breath as I didn't want that doctor and Daniel Hyung to get into an argument.

After hearing my explanation, The doctor understood his fault, and he scratched the nape of his neck.

"I see.

Don't mind me. Most of the cases I see these days are Domestic Violence. I am sorry for my behavior." The doctor apologised to Daniel Hyung, and I sighed in relief.

"Is she out of danger?" Daniel Hyung asked again.

"She is. We will place her in a private chamber soon. Then you can meet her." The doctor said with an apologetic smile.

We all felt relieved after hearing that news, but Daniel Hyung's face seemed like he got back his life. His eyes sparkled in happiness. It was a weird feeling to see Daniel Hyung happy.

I couldn't understand why I was happy for him.

"Wasn't he, my enemy in love? When did I even start cheering for Daniel Hyung And Nuri silently?"

I lowered my eyes as I stressed on my brain.

I glanced at Daniel Hyung, who looked happier than ever. And his smile automatically made me smile.

"This is weird!" I thought.

Then my eyes traveled to Yoonah Noona, who was looking happy, but her stare at Daniel Hyung was kind of weird.

"Am I thinking wrong?" I thought while staring at Yoonah Noona.

Suddenly she glanced at me and narrowed her eyebrows, "You have anything to say?"

And I ended up getting in an awkward situation. I scratched the nape of my neck as I said, "Let's get coffee."

"Oh, great idea!" Yoonah Noona said. Then she turned to Daniel and asked, "You want coffee?"

"I am fine." Daniel Hyung answered with a faint smile.

"He has not eaten anything since the day Nuri went missing. You're having the coffee! The discussion ends here! Come on Yoonah Noona, let's go."

I scolded Daniel Hyung and left the hallway as soon as possible while pulling Yoonah Noona with me.

As we arrived outside of the hospital, Yoonah Noona started laughing.

"You were so scared of Daniel, yet you scolded him. How brave of you !"

"I am a dangerous player! Do you know Daniel Hyung and I love the same girl !" I shrugged.

Yoonah Noona 's face went pale.

"No way! Don't tell me he beat you too?" She asked with her worried voice.

"He didn't," I replied.

We crossed the road carefully to go to a nearby cafe to buy some food and coffee. After entering the cafe, we ordered two coffees for both of us and packed the remaining things for Daniel Hyung and Jeena.

As we sat opposite each other, Yoonah Noona leaned closer and asked, "Were you kidding when you said You and Daniel liked the same girl?"

"No. I like Nuri." I said and waited for our coffee to appear.

"Omo!" Yoonah Noona gasped.

"Then how can you both be so friendly with each other? You two look like old friends from school." She explained.

"How to explain? I have taken Daniel Hyung as my friend without realising it.

And I just realised I even like Nuri, but now I support Nuri and Daniel Hyung together!" I said, followed by a sigh.

"That's true.

They just love each other very much. You can see the Love in Daniel's eyes for Nuri." Yoonah Noona said while glancing at the hospital from the glass wall.

"I agree.

He starved himself until now. That old man!" I click my tongue in anger.

Yoonah Noona was still staring at the hospital.

"What about you?"

My question attracted her attention, and she shifted her gaze towards me.

"What about me ?" Yoonah Noona blinked a couple of times with a confused expression.

I kept my arms on the table as I leaned closer, "Do you like Daniel Hyung?"

She gave a bitter smile.

"I love him." She answered.

"So your love is unrequited too?" I asked casually.

A waiter placed our coffee at our table. We thanked him, and he left.

"He is my ex. I cheated on him, and we had a bad breakup."

Yoonah Noona 's answer gave me an electric shock. I stared at her with my widened eyes.

"So you are that ex who came to meet Daniel Hyung at Jeju, and Nuri almost had an accident?"

Her eyes widened.

"WHAT? Nuri almost had an accident?"

"Yes. Nuri ran from there to give you two space and ended up almost getting hit by a car. Luckily I was there." I said.

Yoonah Noona bit her lips as she seemed guilty.

"I want to apologise for everything that happened that day in Jeju. I really tried to create a misunderstanding to separate them." She lowered her head.

"But I am not that Yoonah now. I have changed myself. I am not going to do anything bad to them anymore. I know now, I can't force anyone to love me.

I lost the diamond once. And it was my fault." Yoonah Noona explained as she wiped a teardrop from her left eye.

"It's okay…Everyone makes mistakes.

And you are forgiven if you can understand where you were wrong. And act to fix it accordingly." I said with a smile and sipped my coffee.

"Thank you for understanding." She smiled.

"Well, I have kissed Nuri too. And it caused a mess. So yeah, I know it very well."

Yoonah Noona gasped again. We both stared at each other for some seconds before bursting out in a laugh.

"You're really something!" She yelled while laughing.

"I know, I know," I replied.

"So? Now what?" Yoonah Noona sipped her coffee as she asked.

"Nothing. Let's be friends and support each other.

These days I have realised you all are true-friend material, so I'm not going to give up on this." I said.

"True. You guys are something I can rely on. I also don't want to give up on this" She chuckled.

"Then let's have a party after Nuri gets better at Daniel Hyung's apartment to celebrate our new friendship and Nuri's safe life. " I said with an excited voice.

"Let's do it." Yoonah Noona joined me.

"This is your coffee and pastry.." I offered food to Daniel Hyung as we came back from the cafe.

"I am not hungry." He replied.

"Daniel... If you starve yourself, it won't benefit anyone. Neither you nor Nuri." Yoonah Noona said.

"I can't shallow down anything until I see Nuri doing good." Daniel Hyung replied with his slow but bold voice.

I sighed. Daniel Hyung was stubborn.

"This fellow loves his girl too much!" Yoonah Noona sighed.

We all smiled, glancing at Daniel Hyung.
