●Nuri's P.O.V.●

I was inside a car. They bound me with rope and stuffed a handkerchief inside my mouth so I couldn't scream or fight.

I felt my worst nightmares coming true.

The car stopped at a dirty, stinky place. It was dark. I didn't have any idea what they were going to do to me. And I didn't want to think about it either.

The strangest thing was, one of the kidnappers who kidnapped me today looked like the same man who sneaked into my hotel room in disguise a couple of days ago.

I couldn't understand how the kidnapper was wandering outside of the prison when the officer said he was still in there last time.

The kidnappers opened the car door and started pulling me to an abandoned building. I didn't know something like this existed in South Korea. The surrounding of the building was filled with wild bushes. The place smelled like rotten bodies as those people pulled me through a staircase upstairs.

As I arrived there, I saw I was not the only one who got kidnapped, but the building was filled with girls under 14-15. Maybe I was the only one who was 20+. They harshly pushed me to the girls, and my knees hit the broken, uneven floor.

The girls looked terrified. And then my eyes fell onto a girl sitting at the corner. She was the one whom I saw getting kidnapped on the first day when I arrived here. I was shocked to find her here. Hence, my assumption was correct. They were from the same gang.

But I couldn't understand what their actual business was. Why were these girls kept inside an abandoned building? And what they were going to do with us.

The three men who brought me here, one of them told something to another man sitting on a chair. And they all glanced at me. Then all of a sudden, they all burst out laughing. I was sure they weren't laughing at a silly joke.

The other girls glanced at me with hope in their eyes. I couldn't understand what was happening.

It was almost dawn, and I was sitting on my back, leaning on a wall. I regretted leaving the apartment.

The handkerchief on my mouth was not there anymore as the kidnapper removed it after a while. The place was so empty that even my scream couldn't do anything to save me. Maybe that was why they didn't even care about binding our mouths.

From the moment I was kidnapped, I was thinking about Daniel.

"If something happens to me, Daniel would blame himself forever." I thought.

I realised I shouldn't have left the apartment. I felt so helpless here. And I didn't even know If Daniel would ever know where I was. I was crying thinking about Daniel when I heard a whisper.

"Hey."

I glanced to my left only to find the girl whom I saw getting kidnapped that day. I didn't do anything about it. Maybe that was why Shiv Ji gave me this punishment.

I took a quick glance at the guard who was now sleeping. I turned my gaze back to the girl as I whispered, "Yes.."

"I knew you were a foreigner." She said.

"You know English?" I was amazed to see that girl talking in perfect English.

"Yes, I was taking English classes recently but never thought I could use it in a situation like this." The girl smiled bitterly.

"I am Sumi."

"I am Nuri.." I said.

"I heard the kidnappers were discussing about you. They were trying to catch you for a long time. Because you saw the face of their members, and you were dangerous for them!" Sumi said.

"Were they discussing it when they pushed me here?" I asked.

"Yes.

They said you helped the police to arrest one of their members earlier?" Sumi asked while struggling with her bound hands.

"I did," I replied.

"What are they planning, Sumi? Why have they kept us here?" I asked.

"They are going to sell us to some foreign country," Sumi explained while crying.

"Hey, hey, don't cry. The kidnappers can't do it." I said.

"Why?" Sumi asked while crying.

"Because My boyfriend is a superhero. He will surely come to look for me! I promise we'll go home." I lied to that girl.

"Are you telling the truth, Eonni?" Sumi's eyes sparkled.

"Yes.. please don't cry, okay." I lied again.

I wasn't sure if Daniel could ever find me or he even wanted to find me after what happened between us. But I just lied to console that little girl who was seeking a parent to lean on.

"But we will be transported to another country in two days. Can your superhero boyfriend reach us before that?" Sumi's eyes again filled with fear.

"He will. Don't worry. He is a SuperHero. He had always saved me from these kidnappers." I said.

"Really ?"

"Yes.." I smiled.

"Then how did they catch you this time?" Sumi asked like an innocent child.

"This time, I was far away from him, and My boyfriend couldn't do anything," I remembered Daniel's eyes when I left his apartment and regretted everything.

"He will save me too, right Eonni?" Sumi asked again.

I nodded while smiling. I didn't know if I was doing the right thing or wrong, but I couldn't tell that little girl the harsh reality.
