●Daniel's P.O.V.●

"Sir, should I call the ambulance? Are you not feeling well? Sir ?" The guard gave me a jerk as I was sitting in front of the main entrance of the apartment lifelessly, thinking about Nuri.

Suddenly a thought hit me.

"What if she met Ray?

The last time she met Ray coincidentally too! Maybe this time---" I stopped thinking much as I pulled out my phone again from my trouser pocket and dialled Ray's number.

After two rings, Ray received the call.

"He-he hello…" my voice trembled as I was scared, thinking about Nuri didn't meet Ray.

"Hello, Daniel Hyung?" Ray answered.

"Are you fine, Daniel Hyung? Your voice seems a little--"

"Nuri.. !" I cut him off.

"Nuri??" Ray asked with a confused voice.

"Ray, have you met Nuri today?" I gulped a large amount of saliva as I asked.

"Nuri? No, I didn't. I just reached home after the flight." Ray explained.

I felt like I couldn't breathe anymore. My eyes become teary again.

"Wait!! Daniel Hyung? Where's Nuri?" Ray yelled.

"I don't know. We were arguing over a topic, and Nuri left the apartment. I tried to find her, but I couldn't." I broke down in tears as I tried to explain the situation.

"WHAT???" Ray screamed at the call.

I couldn't answer anything.

"Since when is she missing?" Ray asked with his high-pitched voice.

"Approx 4 hours."

"What the F***" Ray cursed, "Didn't you two just start dating? How can you argue so soon?"

I felt worse hearing Ray's words. He was right. The day we got into a relationship, I was pushing her for everything because I was insecure. Nuri hadn't any fault in it.

I only cried as I had no answer to Ray's questions.

I stood up from the ground.

My trousers became dirty because of my sudden breakdown on the ground. But it was not important at that moment.

"I am going to the police station to file a missing diary," I said and almost disconnected the call.

"I am coming! Send me the address!" Ray said.

I hummed in response and disconnected the call. Then I again called a cab as I sent the address link to Ray.

I gave my number to the security guard and told him to call me if Nuri returns.

The cab soon appeared, and I hopped on the car. As the car took turns, I felt like I was becoming crazy every second that passed, thinking about Nuri.

"What do you mean, You can't register a missing diary?" I yelled at the officer.

"Try to understand, Mr. Kim, we can't register a missing diary for a person who is missing for less than 24 hours.

Please wait till tomorrow. If Miss Nuri Bose doesn't come back in 24 hours, we will take action.

But I'm sure your girlfriend will come back. It was just an argument. The person comes back 24 hours in 80% of cases." An officer explained.

"Are you kidding me right now?

What if someone robs her or murders her in between these hours? Could you give her back to me?? Tell me !!" I yelled while my tears kept rolling on my cheeks.

"Mr. Kim, I'm doing everything according to law. I've said that we can't go against the law." The officer said with a guilty expression.

"What do you mean by law??? A person is missing here, and you're stupid law can't do anything about it!!"

Ray held me back as I was frustrated because of that officer.

"Daniel Hyung, Screaming won't do. Please calm down." Ray said while pressing my hand on the table.

"Officer! Try to understand. Nuri is a foreigner! She doesn't have anyone here to go and spend the night there.

Nuri didn't even take her phone or wallet with her.

She can't even stay at the hotels. Please try to understand.

We can't just take it as she will come back. Please do something!" Ray explained with a better tone than mine.

I stared at the officer, hoping maybe he could do something this time. But again, he shook his head and said, "I really want to help you right now. But I can't. Please come back after 24 hours. but I'm sure she will come back before that."

I gritted my teeth as I decided to punch that officer's face with my clenched fist. But before that, Ray pulled me outside with him.

"Calm down, Daniel Hyung, we can't take a wrong step right now." Ray tried to explain.

"I don't know what to do!!" I scratched my head like crazy as I couldn't find anything else to find Nuri.

"Daniel Hyung, tell me one thing why were you both arguing?"

Ray's question made me remember the scene where Nuri was begging me to keep my trust in her, but I ended up accusing her of cheating. It made the situation worse.

"About you." I sighed.

"About me?" Ray asked with confusion as we slowly exited the police station and stood at the main entrance.

"I saw that kiss. " I murmured without looking at Ray.

Ray went silent for a few minutes. I glanced up at the sky, cursing myself for every little time I hurt Nuri. Suddenly Ray said, " So it was all because of me?"

I didn't answer.

"I am sorry, Daniel Hyung, but it was my fault.

Nuri told me that she loved you, but I just wanted to let Nuri know about my feelings before you two get into any relationship.

I am sorry. It made you fight with each other." Ray bowed and apologised.

"It's not your fault Ray.

I was the one with insecurities! I accused her of cheating." I tried to control my tears as I felt worse with every second that passed, and Nuri was missing.

"Nuri can never cheat on you. You're wrong!" Ray said with his cold and rude voice.

"I know." I didn't have anything more to say than this.

"So what to do now?" Ray asked.

"I don't know. I am going to wait here. I have told the security guard to call me if Nuri returns home. So it's clear I am not going to leave this police station." I said.

"But…" Ray tried to say something, but a female voice interrupted us.

"Daniel..?"

As I followed the voice, I noticed Yoonah was standing there with a confused face. I rolled my eyes and shifted my gaze to another side. I just wanted to ignore her.

"Why are you here at this hour?

And what happened to your clothes?" Yoonah asked while staring at my trouser which was dirty because I had a mental breakdown in front of my apartment entrance.

I chose not to answer.

"Omo, did you fall somewhere in the mud?" Yoonah asked again.

"Can you shut up and mind your freaking business, leaving me alone?" I yelled at her.

Usually, Yoonah would have yelled back at me, but this time she kept quiet and lowered her head. I was quite amazed to see Yoonah's transformation, but I was not really in a mood to mention it.

"I just wanted to know what happened?" Yoonah said with a low tone this time.

I ignored her again, but Ray answered.

"Hello.. this is Ray. I am Daniel Hyung's friend, and we came here to register a missing diary for Hyung's girlfriend, Nuri."

Yoonah gasped, " Did you say Nuri?"

"Are you happy?" I scowled at Yoonah.

"Daniel Hyung, please, stop talking. You're not in your right mind." Ray stopped me.

"Noona, Daniel Hyung is not in the right mind to talk properly. Please don't mind him." Ray bowed and apologised on my behalf.

I just tried to ignore Yoonah's existence.

"Hello Ray, I am Yoonah. I came here to register a kidnapping case. " Yoonah said.

I glanced at her with my widened eyes. Ray was shocked too.

"I was walking from the alley behind your apartment Daniel, after having dinner from the restaurant we always used to go to.

But soon, I heard some whimpers. I peeked, standing behind a turn. And then I witnessed a girl getting kidnapped by three men.

I was one, and they were three, so I couldn't get the courage to jump in between them and fight.

But the weird part is, the girl looked like Nuri." Yoonah explained with a timid expression.

I rushed to her and gave her a jerk holding her shoulders.

"Tell me again !!!! Three people kidnapped, Nuri??" I yelled at her.

Yoonah squeezed her eyes shut because of pain.

"Daniel, you're hurting me."

My grip loosened from her shoulders. But I couldn't control myself as I asked again, "Nuri? Are you sure you saw Nuri?"

Yoonah answered while rubbing her shoulder, " I can't assure you it was Nuri because the alley was very dark. She seemed like Nuri.

I wanted to call you but decided to register a kidnapping case first.

But I came here, and I heard Nuri was missing. I think she can be Nu-ri." Yoonah explained and pronounced Nuri's name with a little fear as she saw me behaving almost crazy.

But I wasn't in a state to fight with anyone anymore. I felt dizzy around me. I remembered the moments when I assured Nuri I would never let anyone do any harm to her. And now she got kidnapped?

My knees felt weak once again.

I sat down at the entrance of the police station. Ray and Yoonah leaned closer, asking if I was okay.

But I wasn't okay.

I wanted my life back. I wanted Nuri back. Everything around me started getting dizzy, and I couldn't hear Yoonah or Ray anymore. I wanted Nuri safe.
