●Nuri's P.O.V.●

I was lucky that Ray was staying right beside our hotel. He reached within some minutes as he promised and helped me to take Daniel to our room.

As we arrived at the room, the main question was, who was going to change his clothes.

Ray placed Daniel on the couch.

"Are you going to do it?" Ray asked, pointing at Daniel.

"I am a girl, Ray!" I protested.

"But if Daniel Hyung came to know that I changed his clothes, I don't know what he would do to me," Ray complained with slight fear in his eyes.

"Ray! Please don't look at me like that!

I can't change a man's clothes!!!!!"

Please try to understand!" I said with my raised voice.

"Why don't you understand? Daniel Hyung is going to beat me if he knows about me changing his clothes!!" Ray yelled.

"I'll explain it to him. I promise.

Now please go, change his clothes. He is going to get more sick with wet clothes." I requested with a worried expression.

Ray heaved a sigh, giving up.

"Fine! But you're going to handle everything, Nuri!" He uttered the words with a warning.

"I-I will," I assured him with my awkward smile.

Ray rubbed his forehead, and then he said, "Give me a pair of his clothes."

I instantly opened Daniel's bag and took out a shirt and pants. And I threw it towards Ray.

"I am waiting outside. Please call me when you are done!" I said and left the room quickly.

After some time, Ray opened the door and called me inside. I entered the room and saw Daniel's old wet clothes were lying on the corner of the room, and Daniel was now wearing a white shirt and black pants. I collected the clothes and sent them to the hotel laundry, and then I made my way to the lobby desk.

"Can I get a Doctor's number? My friend is really sick!" I asked the lady hosting the lobby.

I didn't know how much she understood me, but she handed over a leaflet to me, which had 3-4 doctor's names on it with their numbers. I thanked her and moved back to my room.

When I entered my room again, I saw Ray was sitting on the couch while doing something on his phone.

"I was going to go to the lobby.

I remembered after you left that you needed someone to speak Korean to take a Doctor's number.

But I couldn't leave Daniel Hyung alone, so I waited here." Ray said, scratching his head.

I smiled at him. He must be an angel to appear in our lives to help us like this.

"It's fine. I think the lady understood me and gave me the doctor's list of who lives nearby. And Thank you, Ray." I thanked him.

Ray didn't answer and just stared at me for a long minute before concentrating on his phone again.

Forgetting everything just happened, I dialled a number to call for a Doctor. And Ray talked to him. The doctor visited us after 1 hour and scolded us for being irresponsible friends of Daniel.

Ray and I apologized again and again for the mess we never caused. Finally, he wrote some medicines and told us to buy them. I went out to buy the medicine, and Ray stayed with the Doctor to know what to do for Daniel so he could get cured soon.

After buying the medicine, when I came back to the room, the Doctor explained to us when and which medicine needed to be given to Daniel. And finally, the doctor left after getting his payment.

I came out of the shower and noticed Ray was checking Daniel's forehead to check his fever. Ray noticed me coming out of the shower and said, "The fever is still high."

My face dropped at his comment.

"Doctor gave him an injection.

I'm sure he will be fine. Don't worry." Ray tried to console me.

It was late at night, but Ray was taking care of Daniel because I asked him to. He was the kindest person I could ever find.

"Thank you, Ray. I don't know if I can ever repay your kindness." I bowed my head to show my sincerity.

Ray's face darkened. He sauntered closer to me while maintaining eye contact.

"I am not doing anything to get something in return.

I am doing this because you are important to me.

And Daniel Hyung is important to you." Ray said as he pointed at Daniel.

I blinked a couple of times, staring at him confusingly.

Then all of a sudden, Ray leaned closer to me and placed his lips on mine. My eyes widened in shock. My brain wasn't ready to take another big shock at that moment.

Hence, I just stood there like a statue under his touch. It was a soft and polite kiss, but it described many feelings of Ray for me.

After a while, Ray stopped and leaned back. His dazed eyes met mine. I couldn't say anything, but he licked his lips and said,

"I don't know when I fell for you. Maybe when you smiled at me for the first time, or maybe when you cried while embracing me. It is also a mystery to me. Though, I know you like Daniel Hyung already."

Ray paused as if he was finding the correct words for the situation.

"But if you ever feel like you want to take a new chance in your life, you will find me at the end of your journey with Daniel Hyung. I'll wait."

Ray wanted to say something more, but he didn't and just left with that. I blinked too many times, trying to process what just happened.

I touched my lips with my fingertips.

"He kissed me...."

"Mhmm..." I heard a slight whisper and remembered Daniel was still unconscious.

Forgetting everything that just happened, I rushed to Daniel and sat beside him on the bed. I caressed his head lightly, and a smile approached my lips.

The old vision appeared in my head when Daniel confessed his feelings to me. I was on the 9th cloud. But my happiness didn't stay for long as I remembered Ray's kiss and his bold confession. I never knew Ray was so bold.

Though I was now worried, thinking whether Ray was going to continue our friendship or not. I would never wanted to lose a friend like Ray. But what he wanted, I couldn't give him.

I scratched my head like crazy as all the messy things circled around my head.
