Daniel's P.O.V.

I rushed to the waiting hall. I had one friend, and they wanted to take it from me. I felt anger rising in my veins.

I pushed the glass door harshly, only to find no one there.

"Where is she? Nuri?" I called her name. My eyes traveled the whole room, but there was no sign of Nuri.

My blood ran cold through my veins as I remembered the incident at the hotel with a gun.

"Why am I thinking bad?" I reminded myself, "Maybe she is somewhere near just taking a walk because she became bored or something. Right?"

Suddenly I heard someone saying, "A girl had an accident near our office."

"Yeah, she died on the spot by the car. It's a hit and run case."

My whole world was crushed, hearing the news.

"It can't be Her. NO, IT CAN'T BE HER. NOOOO!"

I ran out of the waiting hall, jumping the stairs to reach there fast. Finally, I went out of the office, and in front of our office, there was a huge crowd surrounding something.

I gulped as I took my slow steps towards the crowd. I could hear people discussing things about that dead girl.

"Omo. She is so young."

"How can a person be so heartless to hit and just run like that."

"Omo. She is beautiful. So sad fate, she just died at such a young age."

I felt my legs move on their own because I was not myself. I couldn't hear those people anymore.

"Please, It couldn't happen.

Please! Nuri, please be safe. Please be safe." I prayed in my head again and again.

My voice stuck in my throat. As I reached there, I couldn't even say to others to move aside and let me see.

I just pushed people in front of me and moved forward. As I got close to the dead body, I could see blood everywhere, and a black sandal was lying there covered in blood.

A pink dress I could see. I remembered again what Nuri was wearing this morning. My heart almost stopped beating when I remembered Nuri was wearing a pink dress as well.

"I stopped midway. Nooo. I can't see it. She can't be Nuri."

My legs started trembling. Finally, I took a deep breath as I decided to confirm the dead girl. I moved forward and closed my eyes for a minute.

"I can't see it. Please, it can't be Nuri."

I opened my eyes.

Analysing the girl, I realised it wasn't Nuri. I took a deep breath feeling relieved.

"Thank You. Thank you so much, God." I showed gratitude to God, feeling relieved.

Thank God it was not her. I realised I wasn't breathing, finally, and took some deep breaths. I rubbed my heart as I felt a sharp pain there.

Finally, I noticed Opposite to me There was Nuri, standing wearing a pink dress. She was also staring at the girl with teary eyes who was covered with blood. After a while, she noticed me.

The girl's body was taken by the ambulance and Police. The Cops asked us some questions as we were standing there.

I reported to the boss that I was talking to cops about A death. So he couldn't scream again on the phone.

After giving our statement, we came back to the office. I held Nuri's hand and pulled her towards the storeroom on the ground floor, and closed it from inside.

Nuri was trembling in fear as she saw the accident herself. I embraced her without saying anything. I was so scared of losing her that I couldn't control myself when I saw her safe and embraced her.

Nuri was still trembling under my embrace, so I started rubbing her back to make her comfortable.

The things that were happening to Nuri after she had arrived here in Seoul were so traumatic and Scarry that I couldn't even blame her for being so scared about everything.

After a couple of minutes, she hugged me back as she started crying.

"Daniel. Daniel, she died in front of me." Nuri cried in fear.

" I couldn't save her. She was almost near me." Nuri was choking on her tears.

"I would be the one there if it was 30 seconds late." She was now crying like a baby.

"Ssshhhh. No. Nothing will happen to you until I am here. Understood.?" I said as I kept patting her back.

I was feeling relieved finally, having her in my embrace as she kept crying on my shirt.

I wouldn't have thought so, but I was happy that the girl wasn't Nuri.

I knew she wasn't in a mood to eat something. But she needed something else to concentrate on. Hence, I brought her to a nearby cafe to my office.

"I am not hungry. " Nuri said with her head low.

"But I am starving. You know I had to do so much work in my kitchen today, then at my office."

I teased Nuri while keeping a straight face. She narrowed her eyes on me.

"Did you just poke me for the morning incident?" She pouted.

"No, no. I didn't poke you. I am blaming you for doing that and making a mess of my kitchen." I teased again.

"I don't cook, you know. But for you, I went to the kitchen to cook something. But why did you keep the salt so high ?" Nuri complained.

"I fell because of that. Then it is your fault." And she came back to herself again.

I smiled, seeing her usual self again. Once again, I said Thank you to God for what I was scared of.

We ordered our food and talked while eating.

I wanted to ask, why did she go out at that time? But for now, I wanted her to forget those things. That cute little thing had a limit to tolerate such horrible things going on in her life.

Maybe if she had returned to her country India again, she wouldn't have faced those things. But I was too selfish to let her go just yet.

I glanced at Nuri, who was now enjoying her meal, forgetting those things. I smiled at her.

No, I couldn't let her go yet. She needed to be close to me because I felt unreasonable happiness and excitement when I was with her.

I couldn't explain to her what feeling she gave me whenever she was near.

"But One day, I have to let her go because she needs to leave after her trip. What will I do then?" I asked myself.

"I don't know. I don't know what I am going to do when Nuri would be gone. But The day is not today. And She is still here with me." I tried to comfort myself.

And I wanted to enjoy every little moment with her anyhow.

Nuri's P.O.V.

After having lunch, Daniel paid the bill. It felt like Daniel was a caring boyfriend. He took care of me so well that I felt safe around him.

As we exited the Cafe, I stumbled over a stone and almost fell to the ground when Daniel held me.

"How can you attract so much danger all the time, huh?" Daniel smiled as he asked that.

I smiled, watching him smiling so sweetly.

"I am a danger magnet, I guess," I answered while Daniel held me by my right hand.

"But I am not scared anymore," I said with confidence.

"Huh? Why ?" Daniel glanced at me with his confused eyes.

"Because I know Someone is always there to save me." I blushed.

Daniel stared at me for a few seconds, and then he smiled and looked away. I looked away as well, blushing.

Suddenly I heard a Korean song playing. It was my favorite song.

My heart skipped a beat as I heard the song playing in some store while walking With Daniel holding hands.

I saw bubbles flying everywhere. I was noticing Every little thing in slow motion.

It was a romantic song from a K-drama.

What timing! Why was everything moving so slow? I glanced at my hand, which was still in Daniel's hand. Then I glanced at Daniel. He was looking So handsome all of a sudden.

I liked all the little things he was doing. His nose was scrunching, fixing his hair, watching his watch. Everything seemed so special and extraordinary as the song played in the background.

"What's wrong with you, Nuri?" I asked myself.

As we reached his office, Daniel again ordered me to stay in the waiting hall without moving anywhere else until he came back. I nodded my head like a good girl.

He smiled at me then he glanced at his watch.

"Now I need to go back to work. " Daniel replied as his face became sad.

I smiled and said, "Go. You lazy human."

"Really? Am I lazy? " He raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah. " I confirmed, "Now go."

He smiled and turned to leave. I sighed, knowing again I was going to be bored till 6 pm or more. Suddenly Daniel came back and cupped my face with his palms.

"Promise me you won't go anywhere until I come back." He was staring down at my eyes with his worried eyes.

"Why is he so close?" I thought as my heart started beating faster. I hoped he couldn't hear it. I glanced back with a little blushing face and answered.

"Okay. I won't."

My answer gave him relief, and he finally let me go. I sighed. Then he kept his hands on his waist as he said

" Okay then. I am going in. Stay here. "

I nodded, and he left with that. I was blushing so much.

"Ah, why is this happening to me?" I watched him entering the office through the glass door.

Then I glanced at my chocolate pack Daniel had bought me and said if I get bored, I should eat these. According to him, chocolates make our mood better. I giggled.

"Does this rough and tough man like chocolates? Hehe." I chuckled.

I sat there, already bored. The seat felt so comfortable I felt my eyes were becoming heavier with every moving second, and everything became blurry around me.

Daniel's P.O.V

I finished the last file on my desk and texted my boss.

"I have completed all the pending files Yoonah had."

Boss replied very quickly.

"Really ?"

" Give all the files to Yun-Joon. If they are all finished, you can take leave for the rest of the days until we come back."

I stretched my back. It was sore because I worked continuously after coming back from the launch break.

"You will pay back the boss. Just come back." I said in my head.

"Okay, Boss," I replied.

As I sent the text, I collected my belongings, all the files and approached Yun-Joon's cabin.

I didn't knock before entering, but I wish I had. Because as soon as I entered Yun-Joon's cabin, I saw him making out with a new girl employee in a very intimate position.

I guarded my eyes with the files I had with me and said, "I didn't see anything."

"Aaaiisshhh !!!! my poor virgin eyes."

The new girl ran out of the cabin in embarrassment. Yun-Joon fixed his tie and asked with a shaken voice, "Why didn't you knock ?"

"Yah! I don't want to see things like this also. I will knock from now on." I made a weird face as I said all those.

"What is it ?" He asked with a frustrated face.

"Boss told me to give these files to you." I handed over the completed files to Yun-Joon.

Yun-Joon's eyes widened as he saw all the completed files.

"You completed it all in 2 days?? How ?" He asked, shocked.

I almost turned to leave, but I stopped and turned back.

"Because I don't waste my time on new girl employees," I smirked and left from there.

But after hearing my answer, his face was red like a tomato in anger.

I heard from outside when he threw those completed files on his desk with a loud noise.

I laughed in success, and then I noticed a clock on the wall. It was saying 7 o'clock.

"Oh no. I promised Nuri I will be back till 6 pm. How did it become 7?

Shit! Shit! Shit!"

I was lost at work so much that I didn't even notice the time. I ran towards the waiting hall, thinking she would be mad at me.

But as I arrived at the waiting hall, all I saw was a little, cute thing sleeping in peace in that small space on the couch.
