Chapter 51: Chapter 51

"Sage, do you even know where you're going?" Sara sighed as they passed the same store.

Sage scowled at her sister, "Of course I do....I think."

Sara sighed and grabbed the map, she quickly found the apartment building and dragged her sister along. She rolled her eyes as Sage grumbled about pain in the ass twin and confusing map.

Once they finally reached the apartment building, Sara searched for the room number.

"Got it! Let's go!" She beamed.

Sage continued scowling at her sister, "Bitch."

"Awe, don't get all grumpy just because I have a better sense of direction." Sara chuckled.

"You're still a bitch."

Sara rolled her eyes, "You are definitely our father's daughter."

"Whatever."

Once they finally reached the woman's door they stared at it.

"You knock on it." Sara mumbled.

Sage frowned, "No, you do it."

"No, you."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"Fine. Bitch."

Sara shook her head as Sage angrily knocked on the door. After waiting for a few minutes a woman opened it, frowning at them.

"May I help you?" She asked.

"You know, it's dangerous to open your door like-

"Yes, we need to know about the skin-walkers. We're Dimitri's daughters." Sara said, cutting Sage off.

The woman chuckled, "I can tell. Of course, come in."

Sage scowled at her sister again as they walked into the woman's apartment. Both of the girls looked around, both of them were in awe of the place. They weren't expecting Persephone to have such a wonderful apartment.

They took their seats as Persephone grabbed her's. She sighed as she ran her hand through her hair.

"I heard about Jason taking Dimitri." She said as she took a sip of her water.

Sage nodded, "That's why we're here. What...what even started all of this?"

"Well, for the whole skin-walker race, it was just us being our natural selves. Greedy. Thirsty for power. I'm more of a loner though, I could careless about all of that power." She explained.

"But with Jason...it's a deeper reason. His family were taken in by a pack of werewolves, known as the Summit Pack. They were nice at first, but then started treating them like slaves. Jason was too young at the time, so only his parents were slaves. Then, when Jason was only five, they killed his parents right front of him. The men raped his mother before finishing her and his father was tortured before being killed."

"He was then forced to be a slave, he grew up being bullied. When he reached the age of nineteen, he left. He killed the pack's alpha and disappeared. He has so much anger and hatred for the werewolf race that I doubt it'll ever leave him." She sighed.

"He was always such a smart boy, always tried looking at the bright side of things. Even though he was bullied by them, he would help them. He saved a few of the pack's pups from rogues. His reward, he could have one extra meal."

Tears were now running down Persephone's cheeks as she remembered everything.

"They crushed his spirit, turned his heart to stone and made his soul dark. There's still some good in him, but it's deep down. In that one speck of light on his soul. In that spot where he still silently hopes he could be loved one day. But he doesn't know anything about love. He doesn't even believe in the words I love you. They destroyed him."

Sara frowned, "How do you know all of this?"

Persephone looked at her with the most heartbroken expression she has ever seen.

"I'm his aunt."

For days, all Jason could think about was Sara. He felt guilty for doing what he did to her, she didn't deserve it. She showed him love when he didn't deserve it. He couldn't understand why, but he knew it was because of his sister's spell. Even so, he had finally gotten a taste of what being loved was like.

He would smile at the feel of it, but then remembered what he did. Every night he would sit there, looking at that blood coated blade. He knew he could end it all, well, his life at least. But then Sara would still be left without her father and fighting a war against his greedy race.

Now, he was freeing her father. He would sit in the cell while Dimitri ate. Dimitri would sometimes pick a conversation with him, curious about him.

Jason never told him his past though. Not how he managed to save his sister when he was barely an adult, not how his parents were killed. He was terrified of telling anyone. He didn't want pity, it made him panic. He couldn't handle anyone being nice to him. He wasn't used to it.

Yet, with Sara, he liked it. He loved how she made him feel safe when he wanted to run and hide. How she was able to comfort him when he started to panic, telling himself that the werewolves were going to kill him.

He wanted to apologize, to tell her that he's sorry for everything he did. He wanted to tell her to be happy with her mate, wanting her to know how much he cares about her before he leaves her life permanently.

He looked up as Dimitri told him he was done, he gently grabbed the tray and stood up.

"I'll be back tomorrow evening. I'll let you go." He told him before leaving.

He knew the sudden change is going to anger everyone else, but he was determined to get Dimitri out before they attacked him. For he made his decision two days ago.

His life for Sara's happiness.

Sage and Sara collapsed on their beds in the hotel, both of them thinking over what Persephone had told them.

They ended up finding out where Jason was keeping Dimitri, since he still kept in touch with his aunt. They were going to have to plan something in order to save their father. Sage knew it wasn't going to be easy, the whole place was heavily guarded by multiple skin-walkers.

"I can't believe Jason went through all of that." Sara whispered.

"And he fucking abuses me! When I see him again I am so chopping his dick off."

Sage raised an eyebrow at her sister, "You're too much of a prude to do that."

"I am not!"

They sat in silence before Sara thought of something.

"Hey, did he rape me or not? I mean, I willingly teased him and...did it. He just....didn't exactly wait until I was...uh...completely...you know."

Sage frowned, "When he was entering, did you say no?"

"No, I thought the pain was natural because I was a virgin."

"At any point did you say no?"

"No. I mean, when I told him I would earlier that day, I didn't want to. But when he touched me there...."

"You got excited?"

"Yes." Sara states with a blush. "He was just too...rough. I'm not like that. I like gentle....not pissed off horny dog."

"Then, technically, no. He didn't."

Sara was silent again, "I mean, I did yell at him to stop towards the end, but he kept on going until I started to scream. He jumped off of me like I burnt him."

"Okay, then in a way...yes, he did rape you. You yelled stop and he kept going until you were screaming. I believe that's called date rape."

"Oh."

Sara sighed and turned onto her side, her mind filled with thoughts of how her so called relationship was with Jason.

That night, when he raped her, he refused to touch her after she had screamed. He mumbled something about being just like "them". He had even slept on the floor that night.

He has some serious issues. She thought to herself.

She shook her head and curled up under her sheets, drifting into the welcoming darkness.

Sage sat in her bed and watched over her sister, frowning at the obvious stress on her sister's face. She had mixed feelings about Jason. She loathed him for what he did to Sara, but felt bad for him at the same time. She couldn't believe a pack had actually done that to someone that was so young. It disgusted her.

She sighed and slipped under her sheets, already forming a plan to make sure nothing like that happens again.

Slavery is the most disgusting thing she had ever heard of.
