Chapter 50: Chapter 50
Jason walked through the dark hall, running his hand through his hair. His spy in the infirmary told him about Sara finding her true mate. He was shocked he felt jealous, Sara was nothing to him. She still isn't. He shook his head, he has all his females here. He didn't need another female to pleasure him.
He stopped in front of the cell, he hesitated before opening the door. Sitting all the way at the back was Dimitri. His shirt was now torn apart, his chest was covered in blood and wounds, his hands and feet had chains around them, and he had a medal collar on his neck that was chained to the stone wall. He took extra care in making sure Dimitri wouldn't be able to move and kill him.
He stepped into the cell and knelt before the exhausted king.
"Hello, Demetrius." He sneered.
Dimitri slowly looked up, Jason flinched a little at anger in them. But he could also see defeat, he knew he was beaten.
"How are you feeling? Not good I'm assuming." Jason continued to mock.
Dimitri swallowed, "What the fuck do you want now?"
"Tsk tsk, such a dirty mouth." Jason smirked. "I just came here to tell you some shocking news I've heard."
"And that is?"
"You know how I have my little spy in the kingdom, well, the infirmary? Well, she heard from another nurse that the Queen is pregnant again."
Dimitri's eyes widened, "Please, don't harm her!"
"Oh, don't you worry. I'm not going to touch your precious mate and unborn baby. I'm more into your daughter, Sage. She's running the kingdom well, just like you did. Unfortunately, that means it's become harder for us to find a weakness." Jason sighed.
Dimitri glared at him, "Leave my family alone. Isn't me you wanted?"
"Well, yes, we thought having you would weaken the kingdom. However, Sage is quite the strong woman. Planning a war is quite a tricky task."
"What the hell do you mutts want anyway? All these years we've been nothing but kind to you!" He spat.
Jason raised an eyebrow, "Isn't it obvious? We want power. We want more land that you wouldn't grant us."
"I was willing to give you land."
"But not enough land."
Dimitri growled lowly and yanked at the chains, but the silver in them burned him. He let out a grunt of pain before collapsing against the wall again.
Jason laughed, "Relax, Alpha Black."
"You bastard." Dimitri spat.
"Thank you."
Jason sighed as he sat down in the center of the cell. He thought for a second before smirking.
"I know how to shake that kingdom up even more." He chuckled.
Sage sighed and closed the book, her head was starting to ache with the constant researching. She was struggling to form an actual plan. She was focused on the war, but she also wanted to rescue her father. She didn't want to wait until the skin-walkers brought the war to them, he could be dead by then.
The thought of them killing her father caused her to shiver in disgust. Sorrow filled her when she thought of her father dying on the cold floor of a cell or whatever they had him in. Tears pooled into her eyes and fell onto the book's cover.
"Hey, Sa-what's wrong?" Mason asked as he walked in.
Sage looked up, "I'm scared for my father. I-I don't know what's happening to him."
Mason frowned and wrapped his arms around her. "Your father is a strong guy, whatever they're doing to him, he can handle. We just need to find him."
"But where do we start? We could bring the war to them, but we don't even know where they're at." She sighed.
Mason frowned, "First thing is first, we need to find out where they are."
"I already thought of that, which is why I'm trying to find their scent. I've had warriors sniffing around the territory, but there's no trace of them. Alphas all over the world are watching out for them."
"They have to be located here, unless they were able to get a plane." Mason voiced.
Sage frowned, "They wouldn't be able to get a public one or whatever they're called. Can't exactly bring a man who's all bloody, on there. They would be asked many questions."
"So...a private jet?"
"Yeah, but how would we find one?"
Mason smirked, "My father designs them, flies them, and controls all of the airports. I can call him and he can help."
"How the hell did he get control of all the airports?"
Mason shrugged, "He's an asshole to many people."
"Ah, I see."
Sage walked into her mother's room to see her sitting up. She had a worried look on her face and tears in her eyes as she looked at a photo. Sage crawled into the bed and sat beside her.
"He's going to be okay, right?" Sage whispered.
Rosalie sighed, "I don't know. Skin-walkers can be very cruel with their ways."
"We need to find him."
"We have to track them down first. We can't do that without finding their scent."
Sage pursed her lips as an idea formed in her head, "Do we have any skin-walkers that we're friends with still?"
"Yes, an elder named Persephone."
"Where does she live?"
"In New York."
Sage smiled, "Looks like I'm going to New York."
Sage walked into her sister's hospital room to see her just walking out of the bathroom.
"Hey, ready?" She asked.
Sara nodded, "Yeah."
"Where's your mate?"
She sighed, "Probably screwing some girl."
"What?"
"He thinks that he can have sex with other girls until we fully mate. Then he'll stay faithful. I just can't catch a break."
Sage frowned as her sister sat down and buried her face in her hands. She strode over to the bed before wrapping her arms around her sister.
"Did you tell him how you feel about that?" Sage asked.
Sara sighed, "Yeah, he said it's just sex. He's not dating any of them."
"How about you just...don't focus on guys for a while? I mean, he seemed like he liked you and all, but that's unacceptable." Sage suggested.
Sara nodded, "I hate boys. Maybe I should be lesbian."
Sage laughed, "Your girlfriend could still do the same thing."
"I know, I know."
"Don't worry, you'll find the one."
Once they were home Sara cried to Rosalie, telling her everything. Rosalie said the same thing as Sage, to not focus on the guys. When she told her about Jason taking Dimitri, Sara got angry.
She quickly turned towards her sister, "I'm coming to New York with you."
"Alright." Sage smiled.
Rosalie grinned, "Now, you two better take a few guards with you. Xavier said he'll manage things here. Oh, and the council is very impressed with you, Sage."
"Thank god."
Sara laughed, "Come on, we have to pack! And you, stop getting pregnant all the time!"
Rosalie laughed, "I'll try not to! But your dad is just so good at-
"Okay, I'm out!" Sara cried before sprinting from the room.
Sage laughed and followed behind her, leaving a laughing Rosalie behind. Both girls quickly started packing, excited to get out of the castle for a while. Even if it's not for exactly good reasons.
Sara froze when she saw a picture of her and Jason. She sighed and looked down.
No one is ever going to love me. She thought before grabbing her bag.
"Oh well." She sighed and turned off her light.
"Weak."
"Ugly."
"Worthless."
"No one will ever love a mistake like you."
"Disgusting."
"Unloved."
"Monster."
"Jason."
Jason snapped his head up, immediately leaving his dark thoughts.
"You okay?"
Jason watched as his friend walked to the other chair and sat down. She frowned at him, watching him with concern.
"Are you going to talk?" She asked.
He just watched her, he then sighed. "I don't want to."
"Oh. Well, what are we going to do about Dimitri? You said you were going to take that Sara girl and torture her, just to shake the kingdom up some more. When is that going to happen?"
Jason swallowed and looked down, "Leave her alone."
"What?"
"Leave Sara alone. I can't hurt her. At least, not physically."
His friend furrowed her eyebrows, "Why? Just last night you were saying you were going to kill her."
His chest tightened at the thought.
"Disgusting."
He closed his eyes and leaned his head back, thinking over his mistakes. He couldn't hurt her anymore. He hated what he did to her just a few weeks ago and now, taking her father, is hurting her more.
"Dimitri will stay in the cell, I'll torture him more and get some information. As for Sara, leave her be. I mean it." He stated.
She clenched her jaw, "You're growing soft, Jason."
"No, I'm not. I'm just...they already lost their king."
"Don't lie to me."
Jason looked at her, "I'm not."
She bared her teeth and lunged at him, before she could get too far he grabbed her by the throat and threw her back into her chair.
He slowly walked towards her and leaned down.
"Don't test me, Clarissa. I will kill you." He snarled.
Clarissa watched him as he left, slamming the door behind him. She shook her head.
"Not if I kill you first." She smiled to herself.
Jason walked into Dimitri's cell and frowned at him. The king slowly looked up, his eyes full of hate. Jason ignored it though and walked over, placing a tray of food in front of him.
"You're going to need your strength." Jason said, his voice empty of emotion.
Dimitri furrowed his eyebrows, "Why?"
"I'm setting you free."
