Elijah

I was sincerely sorry and ashamed of my actions. The spell my mother, or do I say Luna Sandra, put on me was too effective, I didn’t realize that I was pushing everyone away especially Elena. I still loved her so much but if she wanted to be with Scott, I was willing to let her go. She deserved a good man like him, not me who hurt her in the name of love. I was going to pay for my sins by helping her expose Luna Sandra.

Was she even my real mother?

One thing scared me though, after all of this is over and the whole world sees her true nature, was I going to be labeled as a witch’s son?

Luna Sandra barged into my room with an aggravated look, her eyes dancing with fury. I could tell that she was greatly disappointed with how things turned out and was already planning something new. One thing was certain, she won’t be successful this time as the spell she had on me was no more. I stood there like an obedient son watching her rant and curse out Elena.

“This was our chance son. Our chance to rule over this kingdom and make them pay for everything they’ve done to us but that Elena had to come in and ruin everything.” She says with so much hate, her face scrunching up in disgust at the mention of Elena.

If I wasn’t convinced before, I was now. This woman was just purely evil. She held so much hate and resentment towards people who had done nothing but love and accept her. If anything, she was the one who came in and took everything away from Scott. His title as alpha, his reputation and respect, she took all of that away from him and even turned his only sibling against him.

She also had Alpha Damien in the palm of her hands as he only ever listened to her. One would think that he was on a spell but that wasn’t the case. He genuinely loves Luna Sandra or he thinks he does because once her true colors are revealed to him, I’m sure he won’t waste seconds in sentencing her to death.

“We need to get rid of her son. Do you still have the dagger I gave to you?” she asks and I nod immediately, not wanting to raise suspicions from her.

“Good. All you have to do is lure her to a secret location and pretend to cut her by mistake. As little as a scratch should be enough to kill her. I’ll tell you when its time.” She says with an evil glint.

“I’ll be entrusting you with this my boy. You won’t fail mummy now, would you?” Her hand lifts to my ruffle my hair making me gag but I am quick to hide it.

“I won’t fail you mum. I will make Elena pay for choosing that scoundrel, Scott over me.” I say with a fake expression on my face making her smile in satisfaction.

Elena

Over the past few weeks, I noticed that Scott was no longer meeting up with his girlfriend, Kylie. His phone calls with her were also becoming minimal and I wondered if it had anything to do with me. We had promised to separate our private life from our married life and we had been keeping to that promise until recently. With everything that happened, from my kidnap to finding out about Luna Sandra’s evil intentions, he had been glued to my side and I was beginning to see that he was falling in love with me. That reality saddened me as I couldn’t love Scott in that manner. My heart belonged elsewhere, I just didn’t know where yet.

“The dark Alpha is still somewhere out there giving out orders to Luna Sandra. Something tells me that they are more than just partners with a common goal. The way her eyes glow when she talks about him says a lot.” Elijah said, his face filled with worry.

The four of us that is I, Scott, Elijah and Kelvin were all seated in my marital bedroom. Elijah had requested this meeting, saying he had some new information to share.

“I think so too.” I tell them as their attention shifts to me.

“That day I saw them together in her room, the dark Alpha said something along the lines of ‘I love you Sheryl’. They could be lovers or even worse, mates.” I say recalling the events of that day.

“That would explain why she’s so confident. She knows how powerful the dark alpha is and as his lover, he would do anything to protect her.” Kevin said and we all nodded in response.

“Our first plan should be to turn them against each other.” Scott said earning a sigh from Elijah, his left hand running through his hair in frustration.

“I don’t think that this will be possible Scott. She’s a witch who possesses similar powers to the dark alpha. Don’t you think she’ll catch on quickly? Besides that woman loves and respects the dark alpha so much that she could give her life for him.” Elijah says and I nod in understanding. No one knew her better than he did.

“Even if we were to make her believe he has abandoned her, she would want to hear from him directly and getting the dark alpha to loose trust in her is also out of the question. Nobody knows where he’s hiding and even if we did, it will be a stupid idea to try to reason with him, uncle or not.” He finishes with a look of defeat. He had a point.

“He’s right. Our only option right now is to reveal her true identity to Alpha Damien. He’s the only one we can trust to defeat her.” I say to them referring to Alpha Damien’s skills. He wasn’t made Alpha because of his bloodline only as he was also the strongest in the clan. His speed and strength were second to none and some rumors say that his mother, who was a Lycan, passed some of her powers down to him.

We all agree to focus on exposing her evil intentions to Alpha Damien as he should be the one to give her the punishment she deserved. Since were all aware that she had been poisoning him, a way to kill him slowly without raising suspicions, we also came up with a plan to swap the contents of the poison bottle with vitamins that’ll make him stronger instead of killing him.

Oh, I can’t wait to see the look of disappointment on her face when she realizes that her plan has backfired.

“That reminds me. I called this meeting to tell you guys about the new development.” Elijah says, his expression suddenly changing to a serious one making me become scared. He only puts on that look whenever he had something bad or shocking to say.

“Luna Sandra has come up with a new plan. She wants to kill Elena and she wants me to do it.” He says making my eyes go wide.

“She wants me to use the silver dagger to end your life Elena.” He continues but is cut off by an angry Scott.

“I’ll kill that witch myself.” He growls, his eyes glowing in the process but kevin is quick to calm him before his wolf takes control.

“We all want to Scott but we need to proceed with our plan as fast as possible. She can’t find out that I’m working against her. It’ll ruin everything if she does.” He says, his eyes staying glued to mine.

“I’ll die before I see anything happen to Elena.” He says in a low voice but loud enough for me to hear.

Was Elijah still in love with me?
