Elena

“Luna Sandra won’t be able to harm you Elena. I’ll do everything within my power to stop her.”

Scott’s worried voice echoed softly around the room. Ever since the meeting with Elijah and kelvin, he had been restless. I could swear that he was even more bothered than I was and it was my life that was at stake here.

With all that was happening, I couldn’t get my mind off the fact that there was a possibility that Elijah had feelings for me. If he was acting in that strange manner because of the spell Luna Sandra put on him, it meant that my friend was back.

The same Elijah that I had and maybe still have a crush on, that Elijah is back.

“Elena?” Scott’s voice brings be back from my daze. I had forgotten about our conversation as my mind was only focused on what Elijah said before leaving.

Scott was a kind person unlike what the rumors said about him, which was probably Luna Sandra’s doing but, I couldn’t love him romantically no matter how much I tried. I still hadn’t found my mate yet but I was beginning to think that it was Elijah, seeing how drawn I was to him despite being married to his brother.

“You should rest. I’m going to have a talk with father.” Scott says.

“Not yet. Please, we’ll tell Alpha Damien everything when we have evidence.” I tell an impatient Scott.

“Okay Elena but from now on, you take the warrior wolves with you if you need to leave the house. We don’t know what plans they might be putting together for you. While you’re at home, I and Elijah will protect you.”

He says.

“Scott, I’m not a child. I know how to take care of myself you know. I have a wolf of my own and she’s not exactly week.” I tell him already getting frustrated with how worried he was.

“You’re right. I’m over reacting but I just want you to be safe Elena.” He explains and I nod in understanding.

Luna Sandra

“Why the hell is Damien still alive Sheryl? I’m running out of patience!” He roared, his eyes showing how furious he was.

“I’m sorry my lord. I have been giving him the potion but he hasn’t fallen sick once.” I explain in a bid to save my head. It wasn’t a lie. For the past three weeks, I had been putting the poison in his food and water nonstop but his health wasn’t getting any worse instead, he was getting healthier.

“I don’t have the time for all of this, woman! The more time we waste, the stronger our enemies become and the more closer they get to finding out more about us. Take that Elena girl for an instance. She has already seen my face twice.” He says reminding me of the incident that happened when Elena escaped.

She had also seen me take another form and change back right in front of her but for some reason, she wasn’t telling anyone about it. Perhaps she was too scared to do anything. I would have to eliminate her before she changes her mind.

“Don’t worry about that girl my lord. She’ll be taken care of.” I tell him with assurance.

“My son, Elijah is going to kill her for us and in no time, Damien will follow and we’ll reclaim our rightful position as rulers over this kingdom. You just wait my, lord.”

I continue with an evil grin and he nods in understanding. Placing Elijah under a spell was a good idea.

He has been so useful lately, never defying a word from my mouth and doing everything to please me. The normal Elijah would never hurt Elena because of how much he loved her but this one was my puppet and will only do as I say. Elena will be gone in no time.

Elena

“What do you mean by that Damien? Why will you want to make Scott Alpha when Elijah is right here?” Luna Sandra’s devilish voice boomed through the dining hall.

Alpha Damien had requested that we all come out early for dinner as he had something to share with us.

A few minutes after we all settled down, he abruptly announced that he had finally chosen his successor and it was going to be no other person but his first son, Scott.

Everyone was indeed surprised by the shocking news especially Luna Sandra who looked like she couldn’t believe her ears.

Elijah on the other hand was genuinely happy for his brother even though he didn’t want to show it to avoid suspicions from Luna Sandra.

“Scott is the rightful heir Sandra. He’s my first son. This should have never been a reason for a fight between both sons and I am deeply sorry for that. I just wanted Scott to become more mature and independent which he proved to be when he bravely led the warriors into the enemy’s camp to rescue his wife. Elena, I was right about you from the start and we made the right decision in choosing you as a partner for Scott. Thank you.”

He says and I am left in shock by the kind words he spoke about. I am about to give a response when Luna Sandra suddenly flares up in anger.

“I will not have this. This is madness Damien, madness I tell you!” She screams, shaking with fury.

“You’re causing a scene Sandra, sit.” Alpha Damien tries to persuade her but she cuts him off rudely.

“Don’t tell me to stop Damien. Don’t! Is this what I mean to you? Do you even love me? Or even your son, Elijah?” She continues with a fake hurt expression.

“If you had no intention of making him Alpha, why did you make him cover up all the bad deeds of Scott? Not once has he gone against you, Not once Damien.

He deserves this more than Scott and you know it, the whole kingdom is aware of this fact. You used him Damien an now that you no longer need him, you toss him to the side.” She says as fake tears begin to stream from her eyes.

“It hurts me to see that you would deny him of this because he is my son but I want to let you all know that this won’t stand. I won’t sit back and watch my son being pushed to the side after all the sacrifices he has made for this clan.

I won’t!” She finishes as she dashes out of the dining room.

Alpha Damien was really angry now because of the sudden outburst of his partner.

It wasn’t just him, everyone in this room was furious but I, Elijah and Scott knew that there was more to her anger than what she let out as she was only fighting for her own gain.

“Elijah, son I want you to know that I do love you and it was never my intention to use you.

You both are my sons and I love you equally. It doesn’t matter what woman gave birth to either of you, you are my sons and that is all that matters.

Scott is the oldest which means that the position goes to him naturally. I believe you understand.” Alpha Damien says to both his Elijah.

“I understand father. It was never my place and I feel ashamed that I was trying to covet my brother’s rightful inheritance. I am sorry, Scott.”

Elijah says to Scott who gives him a genuine smile.

The rest of the dinner goes on smoothly and Luna Sandra’s presence was not even missed once. It was only a matter of time before she would be gone from our lives forever.
