Elena.

As we marched on in victory , I couldn’t help but notice that Scott had a different glow, he looked powerful , not just as stories I heard but people dreaded him.

I looked at Elijah in the corner , his face was down, maybe he hoped that Scott would fail and he’ll swing into action taking control.

As we went on, an arrow flew past me, almost piercing . Paxton shouted; earthlings , run Elena . They are after you , run ! I started running and I didn’t look back.

Everyone  held their swords up ready to battle , but the earthlings didn’t come for them , they ignored them . I kept forging ahead until I heard a loud cry out in pain.

I paused for a moment, my legs were heavy, I was trembling, I felt a sharp pain in my heart, the scream was deafening , I slowly looked back, it was Paxton, I saw blood pump out of his mouth, he was on his knees with an arrow made of silver stuck in his chest.

Arrrrrgh….. I ran back as fast as I could , I transformed totally into my wolf form and everyone joined me , this was a second battle .

As I fought, I couldn’t shake off the look on Paxton’s face when he died , he screamed in pain . I was in tears fighting relentlessly. This time I wasn’t sure if I was fighting to save me or fighting because I was angry.

I thought I finally found my mate, and the earthlings kill him, this is all my fault ,I should have let him leave when he wanted to, he saved the  life of  the others , only to come this far to die?

I wasn’t having any of that, we won, we overpowered them but I stood there numb, staring at Paxton’s lifeless body , I knelt down and I touched his cold body .

Kevin came around and covered Paxtons body with leaves, I stood there watching the nothingness of the earth . Elena, you have done your best, Scott said.

We fought a good fight, but what’s gone is gone , he hugged me so tightly, I could feel my breast pressing against his chest, for a moment there my nipples were excited and I did forget about Paxton.

Don’t call me selfish!

We walked back to our territory, everyone rejoiced that we’d won , but did we really win? Why does it feel like we lost or was I the only loser?

I couldn’t shake off the fact that I had killed Paxton , yes, every incident leading up to the moment of his death was controlled by me, now I wished he had a little bit of darkness inside of him.

It’ll have fought the bullets , he would have been awake by now, but Paxton was a good man, he couldn’t stand injustice .

As we got to the Alphas mansion people were gathered all around , dancing in victory , I noticed my parents . They were scanning and studying the warriors, they looked sad when they didn’t see me.

But I pulled up from behind and held them in a tight embrace.My mum let out a huge sigh of relief, I could see that they missed me and without them saying a word… I replied, I missed you too, I’m sorry and I love you.

Well, it took me almost getting my head chopped off, to being kidnapped, to working as a slave for a ruthless Alpha and then meeting Paxton, the war, losing Paxton to realize how much my parents mean to me.

It seems unrelated but trust me, life is a circle . But it all works out pretty well.

Back in our chambers.

It was a cold night, the winds were whispering and the trees were dancing as the skies cried upon us. I and Scott were cuddled up on one bed.

I didn’t want to sleep alone tonight , I’ll be sleeping on Scott’s bed.

So you are now the leader of the warriors huh? I said teasing Scott.

We laughed all night and I told him all about my adventurous kidnap .  I laid on his chest, his heart was pounding twice as fast.

Are you okay , Scott?

Yes, I’m fine… it’s just nice that we are like this and most of all having you back here feels nice. He said.

I don’t ever want to loose you again, as he said these words , my heart melted in an instant.  I stared at him plainly and he stared at me.

The whole world stopped moving and we were in our little fairy tale land, the butterflies in my stomach grew, no, this wasn’t what I felt with Elijah, Paxton or even Kevin. This was different.

He shifted my hair away from my face, studying my cheeks and just then we heard a knock on the door.

Shit!!!! I was in utter disbelief, who’d be the hater to not just want me to be happy ,I think we were about to kiss , for the first time , I longed for Scott, I was pushed that he decided to open up instead of ignoring whoever chose to be at the door at that hour.

Oh, it was Kevin.

I was excited to see him, but he was wearing a disguise,  we talked and watched a movie before Kevin brought up the very important matter which I have been avoiding to spill.

Scott, remember everything I told you ? I have a strong feeling it’s Luna Sandra. He said.

I looked at the both of them, puzzled . Wait, what’s going on here and what did I miss?

I’m sorry but this is going to sound bizarre to you. But I work here, My eyes widen in shock , I have never set my eyes on you here in the mansion .

Wait, a vampire? Working in the Alphas mansion. Are you trying to get yourself killed?

No , Elena, Keep your voice down, he inquired.My clan has been in pursuit of a witch which is a spy to the dark alpha and the dark community at large, they go about killing the ruling alphas and taking their thrones .

As he said this to me, I recalled all about the incident with Luna Sandra , but I was going to let him finish up his story before I told them everything I knew.

Go on.. I insisted.

So at first, we thought the witch was you, so I watched you closely, your every move.

Atleast you didn’t die, he said with a smirk.

I will take your life, I am a witch, I chased Kevin round our chamber and Scott kept begging on his behalf and we were all laughing. This is nice , I said but only in my head.

Scott threw me off with his question.

So now that y’all know that I’m not the witch I have some insightful answers to your questions.

I narrated the whole truth about what I heard that day and how she was often referred to as Sherlock or Sheryl , I think Sheryl was like a pet name or something.

We began plotting on how to expose her , when I gave Scott the hint that from all Indications and what she had said to me back when I was captured, his mother could still be alive .

But we couldn’t tell anyone about this , it was our secret. We needed to rescue Aloha Damien from the witches trap and avert his untimely death .

How can we do this without raising suspicions, we needed her to focus on eliminating one person and not coming for the entire pack.

Luna Sandra had pretended to be happy about my return in front of everyone, when she whispered to me and said don’t let the dogs bite you in your way out.

She was pure evil, I knew if she finds out that I spilled even a word to anyone, she’ll come for me and it wasn’t going to be  easy battle to win.
