Chapter 37: Chapter 37

Olivia's pov:

A person in front of me grabbed my hand and began to take me to a hidden corner of the center.

It was not a surprise to me when I learnt that the person who dragged me there was Sam.

My arm began to hurt with the intense force of his grip! My arm would fall off with the amount of time people have held my hand in this way.

He looked quite concerned about me and began to question why I was running.

His eyebrows were sharp and narrowed towards his eyes, his lower lip was raised a bit and his overall face looked very tensed.

I knew I did not have time to entertain his interrogation and needed to find the person with the ring quick!

So, I fled the area once I downplayed everything to me running as I was getting late for my meet and greet. I was very relieved that he bought it in an instant. Otherwise, I felt I was gonna be stuck answering his questions for hours.

I tried to look everywhere but the building was just too massive that I wasn't able to achieve that.

To add fuel to the fire, many fans started entering the building. Now it felt almost impossible to find the person with a ring.

I grinned out of frustration as I saw people flooding the building.

"Olivia, you need to be in your booth!" my manager yelled as I stood in the middle of the room.

I hastily ran towards my booth as I didn't want to upset any of my fans.

One by one I began meeting my fans and acted as if nothing ever happened in front of them. But I did keep my eyes open and scanned the room like a hawk every few minutes to check the ring finger of people passing by.

Vidcon day 2 got over a few hours later and I was super exhausted but also defeated as I could not find the person with the ring.

My hair looked like a mess; my hands were covered in ink stains from signing so many autographs. My back was slouched as I exited the building with my bag in hand.

Jack's pov:

I cleared up my booth as I saw Olivia leave the building. This meant the coast was clear.

I reached out for my phone which was sitting inside my pocket and began to dial Erica.

"Hello?" I heard from the other line.

"Meet me in the back room in five minutes" I instructed before hanging up abruptly.

I grabbed my bag and headed towards the room where I instructed Erica to meet up.

I needed Nikita to be there as well, but that idiot didn't answer my call.

Fortunately, speaking of the devil himself, she appeared right in front me.

Looking at her, it appeared as if she were was about to leave. I was relieved to have met her before she did so.

"Come with me!" I instructed as well, ignoring her confused yet annoyed face.

You could tell that she really just wanted to go and rest at the hotel, but this meeting was far too important for her to miss it.

I opened up the back door to find Erica leaning against the table that had empty boxes stacked to the top.

"Ugh, why did you call us here?" Nikita asked, annoyed.

I stood in front of the both of them and with a cool yet serious face, responded to Nikita's question.

"Olivia saw your ring, Erica"

Erica's eyes widened, indicating her unbelief towards my statement. She ran her fingers across her shiny hair and at one point grabbed a bunch of her hair into her hand tightly.

"If this is a joke-"

"No, it isn't!" I interrupted.

Her breathing started to take place rapidly and her body fell onto a nearby chair. Her face tensed up as she took Olivia's name before screaming it out-loud.

"I won't let her destroy me! She cannot destroy me again! Did you hear me?" She said in range.

Nikita and I took a step back as we suspected that in range, Erica could end up doing something harmful to anyone of us.

Suddenly, things took a huge turn of events. Instead of grinding her teeth and letting out screams, Erica decided to have a sly smile stamped on her face.

And to be honest, it really scared me.

"What do you plan to do if Olivia joins the dots of her family's death?" Nikita stepped forward and questioned Erica.

Erica's smile widened and it looked almost as if it was hurting her face.

"Oh, she won't be able to do a thing!" Erica responded.

I squinted and wondered what Erica was talking about. If Olivia even just recognized our voices when Erica and I were talking in the room, she would be able to join the dots very easily.

And Olivia was not the type of person to let her family's murderer just slide. In fact, I don't think any sane person would.

So, I was really just confused at Erica's statement. And I guess I could say the same for Nikita, judging from her very expressive facial expressions.

"What are you going to do to her?" I asked with concern in my voice.

I knew Erica wouldn't hesitate to harm Olivia, but I couldn't let that happen. I love Olivia and I'm so close to having her just for myself.

"Oh, don't worry, Jack! I won't do anything. You will!"

"I will not harm her, and you know that!" I responded swiftly.

Anger surged through my veins. I hoped Erica would drop the idea of harming Olivia because she knew I wouldn't allow that to happen.

"Who said anything about harming?" Erica asked.

"You just need to do this...."

She added before quietly discussing her plan.

I listened and kept on listening until I didn't understand where she was going with her plan. It sounded very risky and dangerous.
