Chapter 49: Chapter 49

Ingrid's POV

"Where's your Dad, Nak?" I asked Raya.

"There seems to be a sudden meeting, Nanay," Raya said so I just frowned.

He didn't even say goodbye to me?

I just frowned before sighing. I even texted him because he wasn't even able to inform me. I was lazy lying on our sofa here at home. It was finally done last month so we already moved.

Me:

Don't go home

Me:

Just live there. Don't even show your face here

Safe Place:

Huh??

Safe Place:

Hey, why?

Safe Place:

Sorry, there's a sudden meeting

Safe Place:

I just loaded my phone. I couldn't say goodbye. I'm sorryyy

Safe Place:

Are you mad?

Safe Place:

Luh

When I saw him call, I just turned off my cellphone. Meeting his ass. I just roll ny eyes.

"Ate, Big Brother is calling, he wants to talk to you," Sandro said to me but I just roll my eyes again.

"I'm busy, tell him that," I said so Sandro looked at me in confusion.

"You've finished your work, haven't you, Ate?" he asked because I was just lying down.

"I'm busy resting," I said rudely so he scratched his head.

“What can I say to Big Brother? Are you having a lover quarrel?” he asked.

"Let him do whatever he wants. Tell him to never go home. That's what he wants," I said.

Even though we have moved house, my brothers and sisters still hang out with us. We have wifi and it's also big so it's just fine. Even Tita often visits Raya when they have time. Tito is also enjoying talking with Raya and it looks like visiting Nueva Ecija is their stress reliever. We also often go to them when Indigo and I have shoots in Manila.

I'm just watching our tv, I've also finished a few movies but Indigo hasn't arrived yet. I couldn’t help but cry when I saw his name on the tv screen as the producer of the movie. I don't know if I'm just proud of him or just because I'm so annoyed at him that I'm really crying.

"Hello, why are you crying?" Indigo asked when he arrived. I could see his eyes worried about me. I wiped the tears from me before I looked at him badly.

"Why did you go home? Didn't I tell you to just sleep there?" I said so he immediately stood up straight.

“Why are you angry? I'm sorry, I don't have a load and the meeting was also sudden. You were at school earlier so I didn't tell you,” he explained.

"But I said goodbye to Raya," he said, scratching his head. I just looked at him and roll my eyes.

"Go away, I'm irritated by your face," I said so he immediately decided to come over to hug me.

"I'm sorry, Love, don't be angry anymore please," he said softly. Eventually, I also softened. Neither could he endure the beating.

The next day we went out and walked to buy pandesal but I was very upset when I saw that the seller was not there.

"It's just the start of the morning, Love, you're so angry again," Indigo said so I turned to him and raised an eyebrow.

"Who do you want me to be angry with?" I ask. He knew right away that I would pass annoyance to him so he immediately spoke up.

"All right, go ahead and get annoyed," he laughed so I couldn't stop myself from being irritated.

When we went home, I just frowned. Jolie was confused when I passed in front of them.

"Why is Big Sisterfrowning, Kuys?" she asked Indigo.

"No one sells pandesal," he said.

"There's something around another street," Jolie said in confusion.

"I only want Aling Lorin," I said, frowning as I went to the sofa. I'm already bad mood early in the morning. Indigo tried to make me feel better but I just passed my annoyance to him.

"It's hard to coax you, Love," he complained so I looked at him.

"Then go away!" I said irritated and stood up on the sofa. I ignored him until nightfall and I treated him with my silent treatment. I didn't speak with him even if he was talking to me.

"I'm leaving with my wife being annoyed with me," Indigo told me the next day when I didn't even look at him when he was leaving for work.

"I'm sorry," he said as he tried to kiss me on the cheek but I just averted my face and ignored him.

"Let's eat, Raya," I said, still smiling at my daughter.

"Are you fighting?" she asked when she noticed that Indigo just followed me. I just smiled at her and shook my head. We started eating. Indigo is still trying to talk to me but I don't pay attention anymore. He will be two days into his shoot and I wouldn't see him for two days.

"It's hard to leave if Ma'am is in a bad mood," he said, so I just struggled.

"Bye, Love," he said, kissing my cheek. I didn't avoid him now because he was leaving. I really like the smell of him so I simply sniffed it.

"Hello, I'll call you later," he said with a wide smile at me. I simply nodded.

"Take care," I said. He also left soon. My siblings also arrived just in time to hang out with us. It looks like Papa is in the store so they are already here.

For a few weeks, I often had a hot temper. I was always sulking over simple things.

"Love, maybe you're pregnant?" Indigo asked me. I furrowed my forehead at him. He always told me that. He really wanted me to get pregnant so even if I just puke because of the dog poop, he would tell me that I was pregnant right away.

"Stop saying things like that again. You're just sleepy," I said.

"Do you want to go to the hospital?" he asked me.

"My blood just rising because of you. You already give meaning to it right away," I said, still shaking my head. But like Indigo, Irah and I think the same thing. I just don't want to disappoint Indigo if I'm not still pregnant yet. He's been asking for a second baby for a while now after he spoils Raya so much. Although he's still trying his best for us.

"You are always mad, Ate," Irah and Jolie said to me while we were doing our pedicure.

"Maybe you're really pregnant?" they asked at the same time. My lips parted. I feel that way. Just like how emotional I was when I got Raya pregnant, that's how I am right now.

"Shall we buy you a pregnancy test, Ate?" they asked me.

"Maybe I'll just go straight to the clinic in town," I said.

"We're going with you!" they immediately said and excitement could be seen on their faces. I couldn't help but laugh there.

We headed to the ob-gyn while my three companions looked even more excited to know the result than I.

When I got out, they immediately stood up and asked questions. Even Raya seems to be waiting for my answer.

"What's the result, Ate?" they asked.

"I'm pregnant!" My voice was happy when I announced that.

“Wow! I'll be having a little sibling?” Raya asked excitedly. I nodded at her and pinched her cheeks.

"Is it a woman or a man?" she asked so I laughed.

"We don't know about that yet, Baby," I said. I smiled when her small hands caressed my stomach.

"Hi, I'm your Ate," she said so the smile never left my lips. Indigo will be coming home tomorrow so I can't help but get excited while putting the result in the box. I can't wait to see his reaction, I'm sure that he'll surely be excited.

“Hi,” I greeted him with a smile the next day. I waited for him to come home in our gate. I was just really excited. He was surprised because I was actually waiting outside.

“What’s with you today? You look extra happy,” he said, smiling now.

"Guess what," I said.

"Your birthday?" he asked so I frowned. Annoying.

“Just a joke! I know your birthday. It's December 2,” he joked but I wasn't joking so I just glared at him. He's irritating me again.

“March 2 is my love's birthday so what's up? It's not my birthday either, huh? ” he asked. I was upset when I handed him the box. He furrowed his forehead at me in confusion. He slowly opened the box. I just watched how his playful face changed to being shocked and serious now. His lips were parting as he looked at the result.

"Why don't you seem happy?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

"What? Can't it be a late reaction?" he asked before he approached me and hugged me tightly. When I looked at him I could clearly see the redness of the corners of his eyes.

"Hi," he said to my stomach.

"I'm your father," he said, still touching my stomach.

"My Ing-ing," he said so I shouted.

"Irah!" I shouted loudly. They approached me nervously, and so did Indigo who was confused because of my shouting.

"When I lose consciousness in the hospital. Don't let Indigo fill out the form, please!" I was almost hysterical for fear that he would name our child, Ing-ing.

"Why, Ate?" she laughed while asking.

"He likes to name our child Ing-ing, he's stupid," I said so Irah laughed even more while Indigo just pouted.

"It's cute," he complained so I glare at him even more.

"Try it then!" I threatened so in the end he just pouted and calmed me down. I can't seem to calm down with the idea that that's exactly what he will name our child if I lost consciousness.

For a few days, I would always find simple things to fight with Indigo. I was often emotional but this time he was really patient. He doesn't even go away from me. When I have cravings he is really looking for it somewhere.

"You still have a job, huh?" I asked him.

"Yup, I'm going home today too," he said so I furrowed my forehead. What I know is they will be there for 3 days.

“There's no need for that. You'll just get too tired if you keep going back and forth. I'll just call you,” I said because somehow I didn't want his work to be affected.

"It's fine," he said but I also want to consider his safety so I forced him to just video call with us but that idiot was just really worried about me. Every 30 minutes he would call just to ask if I had cravings or if I'm okay. If I'm feeling weird or something like that.

“I can really feel something. Irritation to you! I said I'm going to sleep,” I said annoyed because it would have been siesta time now but here he is, calling. Eventually, he just sighed.

"I miss you," he said so I just secretly smiled.

When he came home, he brought a lot of gifts for Raya and me.

"How's my Ing-ing? Are you okay, my love?" he asked so I glare at him.

"Stop it!" I said angrily so he laughed softly.

“How’s Ma’am? Is my love still throwing tantrums?” he asked, kissing me on the cheek and other parts of my face. I can't deny that I also missed him.

He just invited me to eat. I'm being moody at first but I also ate a lot.

"Love," I called to him so he immediately turned to me. We're already on our bed now. I kissed him on the lips when he looked at me.

"Hmm?" he asked questioningly.

"I'm sorry for being moody these past few months. Thank you for your patience," I said so he smiled at me before pinching the hairs in my ears.

"Even if you're moody 10 more times, it's okay. as long as you have a kiss like this after the day," he laughed.

“Really tho… annoying sometimes, I'll bear with it. I'll take care of you 20 times,” he said, smiling at me but instead of smiling back, my eyes just narrowed because of what he said first.

"Are you saying I'm annoying?"
