Alvin's silence had David flabbergasted, he was surprised and furious. He was acting the same way he did a few years back. Dante was still alive and Kate was fine.

What would he do to get a reaction from them? What would he do to have Kate turn to him? Should he break her or give Alvin more time to do so? He needed results. He can't be second to Alvin in everything.

Then Naomi walked in with a grim that meant she had a plan.

" Let's hear it" he voiced giving her his attention after all they want the same thing.

Confused Alvin was having problems sleeping. He would remember her smile whenever he closes his eyes yet he couldn't forgive her for cheating on him. She was going to pay one way or the other. She was going to pay soon after the birth of his son. Her life was going to be miserable that she would prefer to be his maid.

Generating the punishment was all he needed. He knew her confidence was gone. What is he going to do to her? He was interrupted by a knock on the door.

His eyes darted to the door as Kate walked in slowly supporting her bump which had him sitting up.

" Good morning Alvin" she paused to look at him but he said nothing just looking at her with disgust or so she thought.

" Can I go out for a bit? I'm bored inside. I'm lonely. Please" she gave him the puppy eyes as he looked into her soul-shaking his head in denial.

" My legs are all swollen. I'm beginning to add weight. Please. Colton can take me if you want. I just want to go out"

" Are you asking me to give you a massage? That's the right thing to say cos you're not leaving" he emphasized every word so she knew he was serious.

" I'm not a prisoner. I just want to go out. Alvin, I'm lonely. Lonely" he squints his eyes wondering if she was going to cry he pointed to the couch as her eyes followed his fingers taking a seat while he joined her.

" Where does it hurt? He asked. She pointed to her legs. He grumbled then placed them in his lap massaging them while she stared at him in a daze.

" I'm not doing it for you but my son. Everything I did was for him yet you ruined everything. I guess sex meant so much to a virgin after all" he taunted applying strength in his hands earning a wince from her.

"Which I would be if you didn't take it with lies and deceit then left me to wallow in pain alone. You pushed me to Dante. You slapped me for Melody Alvin. I've lost count of the number of women you've slept with yet my mistake is the ultimate one huh? She snapped as he stopped with the massage glaring at her. He scoffed reminiscing about her suffering.

" I see. Wait and see Kate" he commenced the massage. Kate dropped her legs from his lap scooting from him but he held her back giving her a warning glare.

" Can I go out? My legs are better now" she said trying to change the topic before he strangled her again.

Alvin grinned amused holding her chin up then stood up.

" Go. Return in the next twenty minutes. Your face disgusts me" she sneered staring at him reluctant to leave. She didn't know how she came to love him all over again.

" I'm sorry Alvin. I didn't mean to hurt you I guess I wanted... it doesn't matter. I'll be back soon" she spoke taking slow steps.

" Alvin" she called holding the doorknob while he faced her in anticipation of her next words.

' I did love you. Whatever you've decided to do to me remember that. There was never a moment I hid my feelings from you. Lying about my asthma wasn't personal, I just didn't want to be a burden to you. I felt like I had nothing to offer. I didn't want to crush my dignity. I know how to manage my asthma attacks just been unlucky since you found out but thank you for paying for my treatment. I'm much better than I was when it started. Thank you for saving my mother I'm forever indebted to you. You're the only man I've ever loved and I'm not ashamed to say it. I did love you. Please tell my son about me. Tell him I love him that's all I wanted to say" she finished about to leave when he spoke.

" You hurt me, Kate. I can't forgive you for that. Never. My son will never learn of an unfaithful mother. I don't care if you were hurt or not. You weren't there ..." He paused then looked away from her taking a seat.

" Just get out of my office Kate. You've done enough. My son will be happy without you. Enjoy yourself while you can' he scoffed satisfied with her reaction cos she frowned then slammed the door shut. Then he grinned wondering if he got a reaction from her also.

Hurriedly, she grabbed her handbag then wore a sunglass with a hat grabbed a pair of stocks, and put it on. She looked around his room contemplating whether to take his photo or not.

She reluctantly took a photo of him then shut the door.

There was no one in the living room so she left easily taking her car and heaved a sigh of relief, she was free. The first step to her freedom has been taken. She had to get out of the country before he comes looking for her then Dante called.

' Kate, where are you?

" I'm on my way there. Everything is ready, right? She asked nervously looking around.

" Yes. Please hurry. He's waiting for us "

' okay," she geared taking a shorter route checking her time.

There he was pacing behind a car. His eyes lit up the moment he saw her step out of the car taking her hands. ' we've little time left' he led her to the BMW buckled her belt then drove off.

" Are you sure this is a good idea?

" Trust me" she sighed looking at the bustling street and relaxed on the leather seat. She was free. Free from emotional, physical, and mental torture. Alvin is going to be a story she tells from now on.

She could ask for divorce whenever she wanted, Away from him when she had something to use against him.
