" please don't do this to us "

She stared at the wall not able to look him in the eyes. Lucy was pained seeing oven in this situation but she too was hurting. The pain was too much for her to handle too but why was he making her look like the bad guy. She also want the best for them and this seems to be the best decision . Breaking up looks like a good idea.

" Ivan please stop thawayg

He hugged her from behind, with tears in his eyes " I can't loose you Lucy. You know we've gone a long way and ending this relationship is not the best option"

She breath in a deep breath " please Ivan" she pushed him away wiping her tears " please stop this , stop making me feel guilty. You know I love you with all my heart and I'll do anything for you. "

" Then don't break up with me please?"

" Ok fine. Let's have a talk"

He felt some kind of Joy when he heard her say this, he held her hand and led them to the couch " sit"

She sat down not looking at him, her arms wrapped around her body " what do you suggest we do then ? I'm tired of all the fights"

He exhaled loudly also tired of it too. Ivan wanted them to be happy for the rest of their lives but first he needed them to understand each other. It's as if they don't even understand what the other want . The need to stay together needs lots of understanding. One can't force things to work out on it own if those things aren't studied first and also learnt.

" I know that if we continue going on like this we'll be badly hurt "

" My thought too"

" And I know that their are some things we still haven't learnt from each other. We only care about the love between us and not what will make us grow as a couple." He said.

She plays with her fingers " I just want us to be on the same page . I don't want to be the bad guy hear to you"

" Yes love, I understand you. I totally understand where you're coming from but what I won't agree with is the fact that you want us to break up. I can't break up with you Lucy, not now not ever "

" I also don't want to break up with you Ivan but with everything going on right now I just believe this is the best decision for us" she said

He shook his head not agreeing with her" if we break up then you just showed me that you don't want to fight for our love for each other . Lucy we learn alot of things when in love, alot of people went through this phase too.  A lot were able to conquer it so why can't out own be the same ? Why can't our story have a beautiful ending. Yes I know we started rough but we can finish smoothly. Let our story be a lesson to our kids"

He heart skipped a beat when he mentioned kids, she hasn't thought about that since she's and thinking of it now is she really ready for one ? ofcourse No. She can't raise a child in a broken relationship unless that relationship is amended.

" Then what do you suggest we do then? I'm confused too." She felt helpless " I want to spend the rest of my life with you and you alone . Let's amend this and the first step to take is to take a break from this  ivanm we really need it , this doesn't mean that we wouldn't get back together . We just need to understand ourselves more. Let's focus on what we want and how we want everything to push through"

"We need  space at least to get ourselves together. This is too toxic for us "

He nodded understand " is this what you really want ?"

" Please stop saying it as if I'm the only one that will find it useful" she said feeling annoyed

He knew she was angry with what he said " ok fine , I'll give you what you want . I'll give you your space and do you know what  ? I'm giving it to you now" after saying this he went to the drawer and brought out few of his clothes he put them in a trolley back , zipped it up and began to walk towards the door.

Lucy knew he is always hot tempered and will not understand why this need to be done. But what she's really sure about is that he'll come to realize his mistake soon but she hope it won't be too late for him because when she has her mind made up about something, nothing can stop her.

" This is what you want anyways, I just hope you're happy now for making this rash decision" he said but go zero reaction out if her.

" You're being too childish Ivan and if this hot temper of yours keeps on going like this , I'm sorry you'll regret your action " she was broken seeing him leave but tried her hardest not to show it.

He nodded then shot her a smile " I'll not regret this because you wanted it to happen after all . The only one who will regret this is you Lucy . I just hope you'll wake up and realize your mistake "

She shrugged " I've said all I have to say , it's left for you to decide what's best"

" Ok fine. " He grew more annoyed that she acted as if him leaving didn't affect her one bit but the truth is it does affects her slot but she needed to be strong for her sanity and that's why she's taking taking this step.

" Good bye  "

She nodded and then the banging of the door could be heard next. Ivan can be so childish at times. She just up we'll finally come to his senses when he think things through. It'll be best for the both of them.

She sat down back on the couch, her heard is tearing into pieces, her thought are becoming too clouded right now. She felt as if she was the one that made the mistake. Why was she feeling this way?is it how it always feels when you are responsible for making a grave decision?why can't their story be beautiful too?what mistake have they made ?

Starting from high school, they never have a perfect relationship. It was trouble from one angle to the other.

She lay down flat on the bed, staring at the ceiling wishing this was a dream. A dream she wants to wake up from.

He hit the wall with all his might. He wasn't satisfied with the pain so he did it continuously. He needed to feel the release but non was ascertained. His knuckles were bloodied from the amount of times he's hit it on the wall.

"AHHHH" He yelled out of pain, pain he felt in his heart. He was heart broken and didn't need to hide it anymore. He can't live without her, she was his life, his world. Be can't breath when she isn't beside him so how would he cope with everything right now ? He slide down the wall feeling dejected

He felt as if Lucy doesn't loves him. Does she feels exactly how she's feeling right now ?he thought to himself. His life revolves around her and he need her so badly. He wish she was beside him right now .

He allowed the tears to flow freely without any hassle. He needed to do this for the sake of his broken heart. He bounced his head on the door repeatedly as the pain continues to intestify.

" I need her right here with me . How will I be apart from her for this long? This shouldn't be happening to me right now. I need to fight for this but she doesn't want to for us. Why has she given up on us ?is our relationship not worth fighting for? Do doesn't she sees me as a waste of time ?"

The thoughts and questioning kept coming from every angle, he needed answer from her but he needs to respect her wish and that's exactly what he'll do . Since she wanted him far away from her then he'll respect her wish. He wipe down his tears, taking a deep breath and then got up from the floor.

He went to his bathroom. The apartment he and Lucy shared is his own but he bought it in her name. She didn't want to accept it at first but because of too much persuading, she accept the gift.

This present one is his second apartment which he also bought in his own name. He prefer to stay over with Lucy that was why he's always found there. He needed the her always at all time.

He was out of the bathroom few minutes later, he changed into a nice tshirt pairing it up with a nice fitted black trouser. It's been a while since he last went out and night won't be wasted with tears. He dialled his friends number who picked it up on the second ring.

" What's up man? How have you been?"

Ivan smiled " I've been good. So where is the location this night "

The said friend was surprised with the question " Don't tell me you'll be coming to party with us this night ?"

" Yes I am"

" This must be nice. Are you coming with your chick ?"

" Nope just me"

" Ok then I'll text the address to you now" the friend said.

Ivan ended the call and in just a seconds a text message entered his phone . It was the address to the location this night. It's been long he had partied all because Lucy doesn't want him to get drunk so he made a promise no the party ever again and also to avoid alcohol. But with everything going on right now , breaking one of these promises doesn't seem like a bad idea, so he thought.

He picked up his car keys and made his way out to the party. He promise to enjoy himself this night but first he needs to put all his problem aside. After all you only live once.

Lucy tossed and turned, sleep refuses to come. She needed to forget what happened but find it hard to do so. She groaned in annoyance.

" Why do I keep thinking of him even when he's not around ?" She asked herself then got down from the bed. She walked to the window, and stared at the sky. They look so beautiful this night .

Her mind went back to Ivan again , she wonders if he is also feeling exactly how she feels now , is he also thinking about her right now. Does he feels her absence too? Why can't she forget him even if it's just for one night ? Why does his thought cloud her mind ?.

She groaned and then an idea of what she needed came to mind .  Firstly she needed to make a call and that was exactly what she did.

" Hello" she chirped in.

" Hey Lucy! what's up? it's been a while "

Lucy knew this question was coming up and she was ready for it " Yeah, how have you been?"

" I've always been good and infact I'm at a party right now "

It was Lucy turn to talk now " infact that was why I called "

" Okay?"

" I think I need some girls time so can you send me the address to your location?"

The friend knew something was up with her but didn't asked " The same club I always go"

" The Sandy's?"

" Yes that's the one . I'm right there with some of my friends . They'll be happy to meet you so don't hesitate to come "

" Sure, I'll be on my way now"

They ended the call.

Lucy ran to take a shower and then few minutes later she was out . She put on something sexy. She promise herself to dress to kill, it wouldn't hurt to try something new this night. Her makeup was perfectly done. Her make up skill came in handy this Night atleast.
