Sarah breath in as the chill breeze blew. She smiled loving the whether. Harmattan season is just something she cherish the most, the chilliness, how nice it has always been is something she loves most. This is why most of the time she wish she had a boyfriend .This whether will be nice for cuddling. She sighed sadly.

She unplugged the ear buds then found somewhere nice to sit down. She knew she kinda went over board leaving the house just so Lucy can have a nice talk with her boyfriend. The truth is she has been meaning to just have a walk to think about thinks that has been bothering her lately. One of it which is the guy she loved in her class who doesn't reciprocate the feeling.

She pouted sadly remembering the hurt she felt when she saw him with another girl and he was smiling at her pain. She just wanted a simple and Happy life but having that seems impossible.

" Life can be what it is sometimes" she sighed again

"Hello"

Why can't she just be as happy with a guy as Lucy ? She questioned herself.

" Hi"

Lucy was so deep in thought that she didn't even notice that someone was talking.

" Hello miss" the guy waved his hand in her face.

Sarah blinked multiple times, coming to her senses. She stared at the said strange and was awestruck. This guy is too good looking for his own good.

" Huh..." That was the only thing she could mutter

The young man smiled at her, happy to have finally caught her attention.

" It seems your mind was elsewhere" he said in his charming deep voice

She blushed " uhmm no. "

He raised a brows " I could have sworn you were even sniffling softly"

She gasped " that's a lie"

He shrugged " believe whatever you want then"

" By the way what do you want?"

He smirked " Sorry, It seems i have made you angry. I was only trying to bring back your spirit and it seems I finally achieved that"

She glared up at him " what do you want?"

He chuckled then sat beside her. He gave her a look and said " Were you heart broken by a guy or something?"

Sarah was shocked " How did you know?"

" it's written all over your face "

She touched her face softly " Really?"

He nodded " yup"

" Actually I was jogging by, then saw this beautiful girl sitting alone looking sad. Then I thought of cheering her up and here I am doing exactly what I want, happy to have achieved that ."

She smiled " that's nice of you"

" Don't mention love. By the way I'm Gabriel" he stretched out his hand for a hand shake.

" Sarah" she shook the hand .

" Nice meeting you Sarah" he gave a charming smile.

"Same here"

Sarah  finally got home. She saw a sleeping Lucy on the couch, she shook her head in amazement. Sarah thought of waking her up but then decided against it, one part of her heart just didn't want to do it.

She went straight to the kitchen to get something to eat. Luckily for her, she found rice in the pot and her growling stomach didn't stop at the sight. She took a plate then serve herself. Within few minutes, her plate was wiped clean. She ate to her satisfaction. The hunger wasn't here at all.

She belged then relax her back on the couch. Sarah made sure to move quietly so not to wake Lucy up.

" You've got zero table manners at all" Lucy groaned out.

Sarah burst out laughing" Sorry. Didn't know i was going to wake you"

" You're annoying at times "

Sarah chuckled " I said I was sorry. Remember you sometimes do that to me too"

Lucy sat upright. She glared at Sarah.

" Please don't kill me with that your eyes "

" Rubbish"

" Lols, why are you being so mean to me . I thought you talking to Ivan today would make you a little nicer at least or did something happened"

Lucy sighed tiredly

Sarah saw it in her friend's face that something was off " what happened Lucy? You don't look good at all. Before I left the house earlier you were cool, what happened?"

Then the next thing shocked her. Lucy began to sob.

Sarah ran to sat beside her " what happened Lucy?"

Lucy cries increased

" Did you have a fight with Ivan?"

Lucy shook her head.

" Did he say anything that hurts you?"

She shook her head again.

" Then what is the matter?You're scaring the shit out of me Lucy"

She wiped the tears and her eyes were already swollen.

" I'm scared Sarah"

" Scared of what?" Sarah asked in concern

" Of my relationship with Ivan. It scares me alot. Why does it seems as if I'm moving from one problems to the other? Ivan was selected for this football thing "

Sarah was surprised " you mean he is finally going to be a foreign footballer ?"

Lucy nodded " yes"

" Isn't that a good news?"

" Yes it is but this means another additional years before I finally get to see Ivan. Those people demand him to join the training immediately he graduate from the University. Infact, he doesn't even have time to come back to Nigeria at all. I'm not happy Sarah but I'm  just pretending to be happy for him. I know it's something he has dreamt of and then it's finally came through but I never thought I will be this sad . I swear it, all I want for Ivan is  to see him happy and achieving his dreams all the time  even if it makes me unhappy."

Sarah sighed confused " you two need to talk about this "

" I know but not now. If I raise the topic now , I don't want it to seem as if I'm not happy for him. I want to give him some time before I can finally raise it." Lucy explained.

" I know Ivan isn't happy about staying far away from you. He must also be feeling exactly how you feel right now. That boy loves you and he'll always do the right thing. Just trust him"

" Isn't that what I've been doing lately? I've been patient all this while and now this is happening and I'll keep on being patient. I just don't want to regret waiting this long for Ivan. It'll hurt badly if the unexpected happened"

" Calm down Lucy. You're thinking too much about this, just calm down and give yourself some rest please" adviced Lucy

" I've heard you"

" Please don't think too much about it please"

" Okay"

Ivan factime his long secondary school buddies, Britt, Ethan,james and Co. They all were schooling at their various University and haven't talked for a while now. They shared new memories and still talked about the past ones .

" I missed you man" Britt couldn't help but say.

"Same here"

" How is Lucy doing? Heard that you're still together?"

Ivan smiled thinking about her " Yeah. We're still together. "

" You must love her this much to have plan a future together. The way I see it, it's as if you're set to get married to each other " Britt teased.

Ivan need not to deny it " yes man . I want to marry her"

The guys were amazed. The well known Ivan is totally whiped.

" I'm so happy for you. Atleast you found the right person. Lucy is someone that i know will never break your heart. I've seen how you guys were,back then at school. The couple goals as people always say. You two are just meant for each other "

" Thanks" Smiled Ivan " so what about you two? We've been talking about mine. Have you found the one ?"

James cleared his throat " I guess I have "

Britt and Ethan made a mocking noise " Remember Abby?"

Ivan couldn't believe it " you don't mean it ! So this guy is still with Abby?!"

" Yeah"

" Wow, that's good to hear . I'm so happy. Infact she and Lucy have lost contact and that worries Lucy alot ."

" Abby said same too. I think it's time we reunite them together but that will be after Abby comes back to Nigeria. She also schools abroad just like you" James told him

" Really?"

" Yes. Abby have been overseas for quite some time now. Her first time staying abroad wasn't nice at all. she went through alot while staying abroad. Not untill now that things is now normal for her. She's adapt to the life there"

" Oh that's good."

" Yeah"

" Umm, so how are you still coping without emily?".

Ivan never saw the question coming " I'm coping well. I've learnt to be fine on my own and it's been working out"

" That's good to hear then"

Ivan decided to share his football news with them " guys guess what!".

" What is it?"

" I've been selected for the match abroad.  I'm finally going to be a foreign footballer just as I've always wished"

" Wow that's so nice to hear. This is a good newz man. We got to celebrate it " a happy Britt told him .

"Thanks. Imagine my surprise too. I thought it was all a lie not knowing things will work out."

" Congrats man"

" So how about you two? I hope you've been applying for one right ?"

" Yes we have but we still haven't gotten any calls yet. But from what I heard, we were told to be patient till next two months. Hopefully we might be among"

" I pray you get selected too. We all have waited enough for this and I pray we finally achieve our goals together. I really pray so"

Ethan sighed " we will by God's grace"

" Okay guys ,I think I'll call it a night for now . It's dark over here and I'm already feeling sleepy ." Ivan explained

" Alright no problem. We'll talk some other time.  Adios"

Ivan nodded at then " good night " he then ended the call and went straight to bed to lay down. Williams have since slept off already.

" Ok"

Sarah woke up with just one thought running in her mind and that is to see the same handsome guy she met yesterday. Gabriel.

She smiled remembering how sweet he was to her even after not knowing him, he still behaves like the gentleman he is. Sarah is ashamed to admit that she kind of fancy him. She fear to be heartbroken twice. She never want her past mistakes to keep on increasing and worst to keep on getting heartbroken.

She sighed " why can't I have it so easy Like others ?" She asked herself

" Sarah are you almost done? "

Lucy shouted from the room

" Not yet but about to" infact she was just set to start getting her bath.

" Please you need to be fast!".

" Ok just give me some minutes please"

" Less I forget, your phone has been vibrating and it seems the call is important. It just won't stop" Lucy said.

Sarah furrowed her brows confused. She wasn't expecting a call from anyone . Except it's....

Her eyes opened twice their size hoping it could be him, Gabriel. She poured down the bucket of water down her body, then quickly tier the towel round her body. Sarah was out immediately.

" Who was it?" She asked with wide eyes

Lucy smirked " I knew you were not done" she burst out laughing " I only pulled a trick on you dear. No one called"

Sarah was flabbergasted " are you kidding me !" She shrieked

Lucy was still laughing at her disorganized friend " I'm sorry"....

" You're sorry? You can't be serious!"

" But on a serious note, where you expecting a call from someone?" Lucy wiggled her eyes.

" It's non of your damn business"....
