IVAN'S POV

" I'm sick and tired of all the bullshit man. You didn't even put in your best to see that we won the match" an annoyed William said.

Ivan turned deaf ears, he wasn't in the mood for any argument. He rolled his eyes at his roommate then lay flat on the bed.

" Leave me alone"

William scoffed " why should I? You just messed up the whole thing and you're saying I should leave you alone?! No I won't"

" Then keep on barking then" Ivan hissed then packed his duvet and was about reaching for the door when his friend stopped him by blocking his way.

" What is it man? Why aren't you even showing any ounce of concern. The guys aren't happy that we lost the match because of you"

Ivan rubbed his face out of frustration" I just want to be alone Williams. In the first place I didn't want to play any match but you had to force me and now see the result, you're already blaming me. Just let me be please"

" You're sick man. You should atleast be concerned"

" I DON'T GIVE A DAMN JUST LEAVE ME ALONE! " Ivan yelled not caring whether neighbors heard or not. " I just want to be left alone please"

William who was still shocked at Ivan's outburst could only stare at Ivan retreating back with mouth wide open. He blink multiple times to be sure this happened or not. Ivan have never been so angry like this. This made Williams wonder what this could be all about.

He decided not to think too much about it . He shook his head and went to lay on his bed and moreover he needed a rest after the long match they had.

Ivan groaned loudly regretting his behavior towards his frined. He didn't mean to be rude but thinking about what happened earlier irks him alot. Lucy caused it

He knew he needs to apologise to his friend and he'll do that later. He sat on the bench he saw outside wrapping his duvet around him to stop the chill air from entering his body. He sighed softly.

His mind went back to the last time he and Lucy talked. Everything has been good and he really miss her that it hurts to find out that she already has another guy. She didn't even give him a head up. He sure blame himself for not calling and sending text messages all this while but that shouldn't be the reason why she'll dump him and get a new guy just like that.

It hurts to think about it. It hurts to see her all smiling and laughing as the guy kissed her cheeks. It hurts alot. He put his head in his palm. It hurts more than he could imagine.

" I need an explanation. She shouldn't have done this to me. I love her but it's like she doesn't love me anymore" he said out loud painfully.

It's all his fault, Ivan couldn't help but think. He blames himself for everything. If he had been there for her all this while this wouldn't have happened. They would still be laughing and joking right now. He brought out his phone from his trouser pocket then stare at a picture which was saved as his wallpaper. It was a picture of Lucy and Ivan, She was smiling wide at the camera that she doesn't care about any other thing around her. He was staring lovingly at the happy lady beside him.

" I love you lucy" the words came out on it own.

Lucy groaned as she got down from bed. She held her head as a migraine set in. She winced painfully. " It hurts alot"

She dragged herself out of bed then tried all her best to go to the restroom. She vomited her guts down the drain.

" I'm never ever going to take alcohol ever again" she groaned then sprinkled water on her face. Lucy took the well folded towel beside her and used it to clean her face.

Lucy came out few minutes later only to be surprised with the figure of Sarah still laying on the bed. She scoffed then took a long step to wake her up.

" Wake up!" She softly hit Sarah's hand " wake up"

Sarah groaned " leave me alone please"

" You won't fall back asleep, I won't allow that to happen" said an angry Lucy.

Sarah knew Lucy won't allow her to rest so she sat upright " yes? What is the matter?" She rubbed her sleepy eyes.

" You made me drink last night is what the matter is"

Sarah almost laughed " like seriously you're blaming me? Have you forgotten how I tried all my best to stop you but you were pushing me away"

Lucy folded her arms with a pout " you're lying"

" Like seriously you still want to argue" a surprised Sarah said then climbed down the bed " I tried all possible best to see that you didn't drink but drunk Lucy want to have some fun. Infact the funniest of all is when you went away with Jack"

Lucy frowned " who is Jack?"

Sarah looked at her surprised " so you've forgotten who you were having fun with last night. You must have drank too much to forget"

" I don't seems to remember him"

" The same jack my cousin that took us out last night . The one you were busy calling childish then unfortunately you two began acting childish together . You didn't even have my time for God's sake. I that even introduced you two"

Lucy raked her brain then it clicked " oh! "

Sarah chuckles " I can see you now remember. Well that's nice since he's coming over today"

" He's what?!"

" Yes love you heard right. Jack is coming Over"

" But but what is he coming over to do?" Lucy sighed then went to open her drawer to see if she can find some paracetamol.

" To pay you a visit ofcourse"

" Why me ? Why not you?"

" Aren't you two now good friends. Infact he stated it himself without a mistake. He said and i quote' I'm coming over tomorrow to pay Lucy a visit'. I was even shocked because he was acting as if you knew him first when infact he is my cousin" Sarah stated

Lucy burst out laughing " he really said that?"

" Yes and it was annoying. I made him know you and he's already clinging to you" Sarah playfully rolled her eyes at her.

" It's not my fault that I'm a better company than you are " Lucy joked.

" Whatever. I have class by 11am, I need to get a shower because it almost time " Sarah yawned then went straight to the bathroom.

Lucy smiled as she thought about what Sarah said about Jack. Jack is more like a brother to her just in a short period of n time. He really is fun to be with and it's never boring with him. She couldn't wait for his arrival.

Lucy's phone vibrated so she hurriedly went to the bed stand to check and it was just a message from MTN. Then something caught her eyes, she couldn't believe it. She saw almost ten missed calls from Ivan. Five was WhatsApp video calls. Infact she answered one and she wasn't even aware that she did last night .

" You've got to be kidding me " she blurted " when?how?"

" Is everything okay?" Sarah asked from the restroom

" You won't believe what I just saw"Lucy called his number immediately. She tried his number almost five times but he isn't responding. She was sure he's angry or something. What she couldn't pinpoint is exactly what they talked about when she picked the video call yesterday.

She bite on her fingers worriedly hoping she hasn't said anything wrong last night. The fact that she didn't even remember their conversation bothers her alot and he isn't even picking her calls and that is something she hates alot with people. She Hates it when people don't pick her calls.

Sarah came out of the bathroom few minutes later " is everything alright?" She asked a worried looking Lucy.

Lucy shook her head " nothing is alright Sarah. I think I did something wrong yesterday night "

Sarah looked at her with furrowed brows " what do you mean?"

" It's Ivan. He called last night and I don't seem to remember our conversation last night and I'm even trying to reach him now but he isn't picking. I know something is wrong somewhere Sarah and I really want to know what I did"

Sarah felt bad for her " just please calm down, maybe he is not beside the phone that was why he wasn't picking "

Lucy shook her head not believing " I know I said something that annoys him. I'm sure of it. Whenever I'm drunk, I do the unthinkable . You of all people should know that Sarah"

" Oh God" stated Sarah "just breath and please calm down. Let's give him time and if he still doesn't pick your calls or return it , then he isn't man enough to have a girlfriend. Real men don't behave like this. Just give him time and when he calls, you two need to have a talk.

" I hope he calls back, I just hope so"

" He will ,just don't think too much about it"Sarah assured her then went to put on clothes because it almost time for her lectures.

" I've just twenty minutes to go"

Lucy chuckles " you better hurry up if not you'll be locked outside"

" You caused it " Sarah playfully glared

" Just go already sarah you're almost late and you know how far the lecture hall is

since you want to leg it"

" Ok fine, I'm going already. Don't miss me too much and please don't allow jack to finish our food, he can eat for Africa" Sarah added the last part jokingly.

" I'll inform him about what you just said" said Lucy.

" Who cares? I'm not scared of him"

" Just go for your lectures already you lazy ass" Lucy almost pushed her out of the room.

Sarah laughed " Anyways bye"

Lucy locked the door and went straight to the bathroom to have her bath since she was expecting a visitor, Jack.

Then minutes later she came out and quickly rubbed her body with her nice scenting butter cream. She put on a three quarter trouser and a round neck top. She brushed her hair and was about to enter the kitchen when a knock was heard.

" Who is there?"

" It's I jack"

Lucy hurriedly open the door " jackieeeeee" she excitedly yelled.

" Hello kiddo" he said playfully while pating her head like a dog.

" I hate it when you do that" she swat his hand away " Come in before I lock you outside"

He chuckled then stepped in " what do you have for breakfast. I haven't had one"

Lucy trailed behind him as he walks up straight to the kitchen like he own the house. " Back off man,don't touch anything"

He looked at her with a brow raised then took the two bananas laying on the counter as if daring her to stop him from eating them.

" You're a meanie and I'll report you to Sarah"

Jack laughed " she's not new to this side of me so chill girl"

" and here I was thinking that you came here to keep me company not knowing you just came to disturb me" she pouted

" Oh baby, don't cry. You know I cherish you more than you can imagine" he joked playfully then they burst out laughing.

" You're insufferable"

" I've been told times without number love"

" I hate you"

" Love you back" he said with this look Lucy can't understand

She then remembered Ivan and then something told her to ask him about the call if he knows anything.

" Uhm quick one jack, do you remember me having a video call with someone yesterday's night ?"

Jack looked confused at first then his eyes twinkles as he remember" yes oh yes, this guy called last night and you were busy clinging to me as you talked to him. He seems pissed by the way but I later left you alone so you can have a call with him."

" I did that?!"

He nodded " yes.I hope I didn't cause any trouble?"

Lucy was totally speechless to the core " I am doomed"
