Few years later

Lucy groaned for the tenth times. Life as a college student hasn't been easy on her at all. The constant assignments,test and let's not forget about the lack of time she to take care of herself. She stared at disheveled self through the standing mirror. She touched her cheeks and was almost scared of it dryness . She groaned.

" I'm turning ugly" she muttered to herself.

" Who's turning ugly?"

Lucy almost yelled,scared at the sudden intruder. She touched her beating chest when she saw that it was just her room mate Sarah.

" I'm sorry, didn't mean to scare you like that " Sarah apologised sheepishly

Lucy glared at her " Gosh you almost gave me a scare. I thought it's a burglar or something !"

" I'm sorry. Please forgive me " Sarah said doing the puppy eyes look " but wait, who where you calling ugly?" She sat on her bed, pulling off her Sanders.

Lucy sighed " it's nothing" she tried waving it off but Sarah isn't going to allow it.

" Nah, you don't do that with me love. It's either you tell me or I'll force it out on you so choose " she stared at Lucy sternly

Lucy scoffed with folded arms. She pout and said " it's actually nothing really"

" Nope it something. Tell me now or I do the needful" said a Stern Sarah.

Lucy blew out a breath she knew it's better she tell her if not the Sarah she knows won't allow her to rest " ok fine "

" I'm all ears"

" It's me. I turning ugly and I'm not liking it. Who knows whether that's why Ivan hasn't been calling. I'm sure he now has someone new, someone much more pretty. Look at me Sarah , I don't even have time for my self not to even talk of my love life and I'm not liking it one bit. It's annoying"

Sarah could only stare as she rants out her heart.

" I feel so lonely Sarah. It doesn't seems as if I'm in a relationship, Ivan and I haven't talked for a week now and even when we talk it's not like before anymore. I just don't know what to do anymore"

Sarah looked at her surprised " why would you say that? You're pretty that sometimes I'm jealous of your beauty Lucy. Ivan might also be busy as you are. So stop saying you're turning ugly just because of this. Don't forget that you two are far away from each other and it so expected of you to feel this way. I'm sure he also feels same as you . That is life for you. All you need is a makeover and that has nothing to do with your beauty. You only need an attention from this particular person who is kinda far away from here and I promise, you'll get it soon enough" Sarah added with a smirk.

" You think that?" Lucy asked unsure

" I don't just think that, I'm sure of that" Sarah answered

" You've got nothing to worry about Lucy. All you need is some time for yourself and you'll soon get that after this final exam we're about to write. I've got this particular place a friend in class introduce me to. It's more like fun square and I'm sure you'll love it"

Lucy smiled " talking to you is never boring. You always lift up my spirit when I'm down. You never allow me to me sad. You're just the best roomie ever and I love you for that " she moved closer to hug Sarah who chuckles lightly.

" It's also a pleasure having you as the best roomie."

Lucy giggles " at times you do remind me of a friend back at home"

" There we go again" Sarah rolled her eyes playfully.

" You already know her name. This isn't the first time I'm mentioning this" Lucy giggles

" Abigail right?"

She nodded " you got it right, her. She's just so much like you. At time it's as if I'm talking to her replica and it's kinda funny you know "

Sarah eye rolled " you're unbelievable"

" I've been told that for a multiple time love "

" Don't forget you've got a lecture in just Five minutes from now" Sarah reminded

" YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!"

Lucy need not to be told twice parked all her belongings then ran out of the room leaving a laughing Sarah behind.

" So class we all are familiar with this topic written on the board. We know what it is all about since we're all mature enough. It's nothing to be ashamed of. Some of you still believes you're too big to be taught more about Sex . Additional knowledge is never too small.

The lecture hall was filled with murmurs as students kept passing unpleasant words to themselves. The lecturer looked angered by that so he wrote down an assignment on the board . It's a question he has once given to them but theywere unable to get the answer.

They all groaned because they know how hard that question was.

" Make sure you get the answer or you get zero in your text. See you next class" with that he walks out of the class looking angry.

Some of the stubborn students didn't even care while the goodietwoshoes of the class were disturbed. Lucy couldn't hide her worry so she face her seatmate " we are doomed"

" You can say that again" the lady replied

Lucy can't afford to fail any course this semester. It's hard enough that she escaped this course last semester and unfortunately for her they also have the course this semester too and she isn't ready to fail it because it's a five credit unit course and it's wouldn't look good on her grade if she fails the course.

" It's annoying how people don't even care about the assignment" Lucy complained " I really need to pass this assignment Sarah, if not I'll be repeating it next semester and I don't like it one bit. You know how this lecturer can be. He is a pain in the ass"

Sarah burst out laughing " it's funny enough you could curse when you're angry"

" So from all have been saying is that all that bothers you?" An annoyed Lucy asked

" Of course not Lucy. All what you said bothers me but you cursing was really out of it so it's kinda funny you know"

Lucy rolled her eyes then collapsed on her mattress with a sigh " you can't blame me, the work load is just too much and it's gets tiring everyday so I'm allowed to curse even if it's just once."

Sarah raised a brow up" really?"

" Please stop making fun of me"

" Ok sorry" said Sarah raising her hands in surrender " sometimes I just so wonder how you've changed over the years. You were never a bookworm like this but I'm not saying it's not a good thing"

" Then what are you trying to say?"

" The thing is you let everything bothers you alot and it isn't good. You keep on worrying alot on things that can be easily solved. Like for instance, this particular lecturer you keep on nagging about, don't you think the school authority won't stand up when y'all fail the course? ".

Lucy sighed " I'm turning old "

Sarah giggled loudly " it seems so".

" Anyways let's forget about all that. Let's talk something new" an excited Sarah said

" And what could that be ?"

" Remember that guy I once told you about? That guy I've been crushing on but had been giving me the attitude?"

Lucy nodded as she remembers " what about him?"

" I saw him with this new girl Lucy. Can you believe it! To think that I've been wishing he could ask me out then this happened! I was flabbergasted lucy. You need to see the look on his face when we made eye contact,it was as if he was trying to rile me up and truth be told he really did riled me up." Sarah frowned

" I was hurt but didn't want to show it Lucy. I swear I don't even know how this guy get to me that made me fancy him. I mean, there are lots of guys out there and he just seems to be the only one that catches my eyes and now look what he did to me"

Lucy felt bad that she didn't even notice how her friend was hurt all this while. She's been feeling pity on herself that she didn't even notice her friends pain.what a friend she is...

" Oh Sarah, I'm so sorry I haven't been observant all this while. I'm truly sorry for always been an attention seeker"

Sarah smiled " please don't say that. Infact you actually made me forget the pains in my chest. So please don't be too hard on yourself"

Lucy hugged her " I really want to punch him in the face. How can he do such a thing to you"

" How dare him!"

" Calm down Lucy, I'm over it already. You don't need to worry please"

She scoffed " I don't need to worry you say? Ofcourse I need to worry. Someone hurt my friend and I need to worry!"

" Ok ok fine. Atleast try to reduce your voice, people will begin to wonder what could be going on here" Sarah rubbed her face tiredly " moreover I'm good now . I don't give a damn about him"

Lucy knew she was lying so she held her hand " I know how you must be feeling right now. But I promise you, everything will go back to normal with time. You'll find your Mr Right"

" But where is he?"

" It's just a matter of time. You two will get to meet soon" adviced Lucy " and I too hope to see my Mr Right soon" she added

Sarah gave her a look then burst out laughing " you're something else

" So please lets call it a night . I'm really tired and I need my bed rest "

" Whatever. Goodnight" Sarah climbed her bed

" Night babe"

They both chuckles

"Ew I'm not your boyfriend so don't babe me."

" Just sleep already"

Few minutes later the two ended up asleep while snoring peacefully
