Chapter 33: Chapter 33

"Congratulations to you all"  the principal finished his beautiful speech.

All the seniors students through their cap up the air as it is always done when one is graduating. The families if these students were also clapping and held happy faces for this special day of their children. The air was filled with laughter and happiness. It really was a sight worth seeing.

Each of the students went ahead to look for their families. Pictures were snapped, joked were past and so many other thing you can think of.

" Abby " Lucy shouted out. People turn to look at the crazy girl shouting, who just couldn't hold her happiness. She return a sheepish smile at them. Abby ran to her friend and hug the life out of her

" we are now a graduate"

"of course we are. Let's find the rest" they walk hand in hand. They saw Laila with her parents and decided to allow her have her time with them but Laila wasn't having it. She excuse her self and join Abby and Lucy. She knew this was going to be the last time they gonna be together like this coz are parents were planning to move out of new york and she is going to start college at the new country.

" girls, I'm so gonna miss you all " cried out Laila

" we would also miss you too" they did a group hug.

" let's find the guys"

" sure "

They walk among people as they search for the guys.

" they are over there " Abby shouted pointed at the direction

They ran to them in full speed . Lucy jump at a startled Ivan, Laila and Abby also did same to their boyfriends.

" you'll be the death of me one day" Ivan said after he recovered from being startled

" hey, I was only happy to see you"

They look at the other couples who were already kissing and they also did same. They finally  pull away for air

" where is Thomas and Linda. I have been looking for those two but have no idea where they could be. "

" we have no idea too" the guys answered.

" guys" someone shouted from far away. They turn and saw Linda and Thomas waving them over. They to jog to them

" look at what I just received " Linda said, as she show them the envelope in her hand.

" is that from the college you apply for?" Lucy asked happily

" yes it is"

" then open it"

" I'm scared. I don't know if I got accepted or not"

" open it and we will find out then" Abby said

" that's what I kept telling her before you guys came but she just won't listen"

" Linda, look at me" Lucy ordered and Linda did

" I'm 100% sure that you got accepted, don't be scared. Always remember that you are strong for this, open it"

Like magic, Linda open the envelope and brought out the folded paper. She opened it and read it.

They were eager to know what was inside the letter. Linda rose her eye to look at them, she was pulling off the sad look

" so?

They couldn't take the silence anymore before Lucy could take the paper from her she shouted " I got accepted "

They all gathered into a hug.

" wow, we are so happy for you.  You nearly gave us a scare"

" I know and I'm sorry for that "

" I still can't believe you got admitted first before any of us" Abby said

" I couldn't believe it to when the postman delivered the letter. "

" we are happy for you dear. You deserve it" Laila happily said

The rest still don't know what had happened to Linda before. Lucy decided that they should keep it among themselves first. But the rest suspected that Linda had gone through some thick and tough time.

" the camera man is coming" shouted Lucy.

The all pose to take a picture, a beautiful one at that. All there faces held a happy smile.

FIVE MONTH LATER

" I really miss her so much. Why does she have to leave so soon" Ivan cried out.

" she is in a more better place. Be strong for her. I'm sure she is happy wherever she is right now"

" thank you for always being there for me"

" it nothing . You deserve to be happy " Ivan look at her green eyes, it just same as hers

TWO MONTH LATER

" I miss him so much. I wish I can just teleport across the country to meet him" Lucy sadly said

" I'm sure he miss you too. " her new friend, mercy said

Since she had started college, she decided to stay in campus coz it less transport. She had always wish to stay in campus to feel the  drill of what it's all about.

A month after her senior year graduation, each one of their crew gain admission into their respective college. The only one that pained her  was that of Ivan, he was going across the country to school there.  His father has always wanted him to study business coz he will be the heir of the company. There is nothing Ivan could do coz it was his father's decision and Lucy understood too. But that has never stop her from missing him and always wishing to be with him.

She already met Ivan's mom and the woman is as lovely as Ivan had described her. The most saddest is when Ivan's sister had died of over dose . She has wished she was there for him.

" some one is at the door" mercy said as she walk to open the door.

" who is that" Lucy asked from the room

" someone you wouldn't expect "

At Mercy reply, Lucy was confused at who mercy was talking about. So she went to join them at the door.

" IVAN" she squealed out in surprise. He was standing with a bouquet of flowers.

She move to hug him so tight .

" I can..t bre-ath"

" I'm sorry. I'm just so happy to see you. I mean, you didn't tell me you were coming "

" I wanted it to be a surprise "

They walk inside the room. Mercy left to give them space.

" Gosh,you are here"

" I'm here"

" so, how is Australia and the people over there"

" Everything is just OK and what about you? "

" I'm good"

They didn't know what to say next. They have spent almost a year apart and still don't know whether to consider themselves boyfriend and girlfriend or just friends.

" I heard about Emilia, I'm so sorry for your loss"

" thank you"

She move forward to seat beside him. She held his hand into hers.

" she was a good girl. I should have known that her hidden friend was alcohol. I wish I search deeper into the matter, I wish. I didn't know that she was an addict. She hid it well from all of us"

Lucy kept quiet  she wanted him to say what he kept locked up inside him.

" A day I started senior class at our school. Mom told me about this unknown friend she think Emilia usually spend time with. We thought it was just an ordinary friend from school not knowing that it was drugs. She was only spending her time being high on drugs"

" I'm so sorry, ivan" Ivan look at her with care. He miss this beautiful lady, he had always want to come see her but things were tight over there same as she was also overloaded with school work here.

" thank you"  that  thank you alone says it all, It was an I miss you thank you.

They where engrossed into each other eyes that they didn't know when they move slowly closer to each other.  Lucy was the one who initiated the kiss first.

The kiss was filled with love, happiness, completeness. They felt complete.

I'm crying guys, I know nobody expected the death of Ivan's sister. I wanted to make the ending sad and happy. I still can't believe that I'm done with handsome jerk, it really was a journey I'm not gonna ever forget as it's my first completely book here in watt pad.
