The party

"This dress will suit you best, I think you should wear it" Laila suggested excitedly . We are all going to the party which is going to take place today's night. We were  gathered in my room preparing for the party. Abby and Laila already know what to wear, they came with their beautiful dresses and me, being my first time of going to a party,  I don't even know what to wear. Which was why Laila was helping me out in doing that.

" wow, I love this. This is going to look beautiful on you, girl" gushed abby

I smiled at the dress b'coz they were right, the dress look so simple and beautiful.

" I have found a dress at last" I sang and they laughed at me.

" Go change into the dress, I'm eager to see how lovely it's going to look on you"

I went into the bathroom to change and few seconds later I'm out.

" wow!  You look spectacular. Ivan is gonna love it" Abby gushed but when she realized what she said, she quickly  gave me an apologetic smile. I waved it off, it nothing bad.

I look at myself in the mirror with so much admiration, I look gorgeous. The two girls were behind me also preparing, they were  already in their beautiful dress and now doing their makeup.

" It your turn now, Lucy. Come sit right here for your makeup. " I move away from the mirror and went to sit on the stool Abby said I should sit on.

" your eyebrow is too full,It need some carving. " Abby started with the eyebrow and then work her magic on my face. I was trying hard not to move bcoz if I should  move, she either hit me at my back or my head. I'm definitely regretting letting her do my make up. She is a monster when she snaps, kidding.

" Here comes the final touch and we are done" at last.

" Finally" Abby utter with a proud smile, she was admiring her hand work before turning me over to the direction of the mirror.  I look....

" wow" Laila completed my thought

" you can say that again, I'm a genius after all"

" Am I the one looking like this? "

" Nope it's your ghost" teased Abby and Laila smiled. " you look beautiful and I'm sure Ivan is going to regret ever kissing that cousin of yours" Laila said

" how many time do I have to explain to you that Ivan did not cheat on her, he was kissed by Linda and not the other way round" said Abby with rolled eyes

" oops, my bad.  I keep forgetting " Laila lightly hit her head as she said this.

I shake my head at their banters. The truth be told I miss Ivan, I miss him so much which is why I have come to the conclusion of forgiving him at the party tonight. . He is innocent after all.

I came out of my thoughts and stop the two girls from their banters.

" girls, girls.... It enough. We need to get going coz it already time"

They stop and quickly took their phones and purse and we made our way out of my room. Mom already agreed that I should go coz she thinks I'm antisocial and this been my first time going to a party will mean alot to me.

" well well well, the three musketeers are already out." Linda annoying voice stopped us. I turn to reply her back.

She was dressed in a very tight gown that show her boobs.

" and if it isn't the slut of the town" I smirk , Abby and Laila snickers at my reply

She look angry already " what do you three take yourself for. You think you are best in everything? You are all bunches of pretenders who think by behaving holy  would make you likeable"

I slowly clapped my hands at her lovely speech, note the sarcasm " dear Linda, I wish I have time to continue this lovely chit chat with you " sigh " but you see, I have things to attend to right now and if you may excuse me, see ya"  I turn to leave but she grab my hand in a strong hold

" you bitch, who do you think you are. Oh, just   bcoz you're all dolled up now gives you the guts to look down on me. I will make sure you and Ivan never last. Anyways, thanks to you for actually helping me out on this plan of mine coz i can see that you still haven't forgiven Ivan, don't you worry, I'll take care of him just forget him. "

I forcefully release my hand from her strong clutch " you must be crazy"  I yelled

" I'm going to make sure  Ivan and I settle our differences this night. And you know what?  I'm going to rub it all at you face that we are back together. You disgust me"

" you are nothing to him Lucy I love Ivan more than I love myself. You have no idea what we've shared together. He is the only guy I have ever loved and I know that he loves me back. It's bcoz you're on the way that's why he is confuse, it's me he love Lucy and not you"

I went forward to slap her but she quickly held my hand.

" Don't you dare touch me. I'm going to take Ivan from you "

I withdraw my hand back

" you are a slut. That's who you are"

" call me names if you like. I don't care but rest be assured that I will take Ivan from you" Linda left after saying this.

No, I won't let her take what's mine. Ivan is mine.

Abby came forward to drag me out of the house coz I  stood still Reminiscing on what linda said. What does she and Ivan shared that gaves her the confidence that he still loves her?

" don't be disturbed by what she said. She is only trying to rile you up, always remember that Ivan loves you so much. I mean the guy will kiss  the ground you walk on. He is yours to keep and not hers, Lucy "

I nod my head at Abby.

" but you need to act fast, don't let her come between you and Ivan again coz I can see that she is determined to come between you two" Linda warned

" I'm going to talk to him at the party"

They nodded at me and we entered into the car.

At the party

The house was blasting with music. People were dancing to the beat of the music, some were drinking ,taking weed and also doing lots of thing

" this is what you call a party? " I asked pointing at the way boys and girls were grinding at each other.

" of course girl, you only live once. Enjoy yourself to the fullest and don't forget this night should mean a lot to you. " yelled Abby coz the music was too loud.  They were moving their body to the beat of music.

" let's go get a drink" suggested Laila.

We went into the kitchen to get a drink. We decided to have Pepsi, we didn't plan on getting wasted. We only want to have fun.

" I'm going to the dance floor, my favorite song is playing " yelled Laila. That remain Abby and I.

Abby turn to look at me " do you wanna dance" I shake my head

" OK then, I'm going . Before that, don't forget to patch things up with Ivan, don't loose him" with that she join the crowd at the dance floor

Mission one, I need to find Ivan. I look round the room if I can find him. No luck, he isn't here.  I saw James at the far end of the room.

I walk up to him " hey James, have you seen ivan" I had to yell out for him to hear

" Lucy, how you doing?"

" splendid "

I saw him going outside" I nodded

"  By the way, thanks "....

" you're most welcome" I smiled at him and turn towards the door.

I blew out  a breath immediately  I got outside . Fresh air at last.  I walk towards the courtyard to look for Ivan.

I heard a voice coming out from my right, I walk to see if it was Ivan.

" Ivan please don't do this to me" Linda was crying and tried holding Ivan's hand. He look mad.

" Linda, I have told you times without number that I don't love you anymore. Do you want me to spell that out to you? "

She held his hand again.

" please Ivan, I have already begged you for forgiveness, what more am I going to do for you to forgive me, please Ivan. "

" just leave me alone " he turn to leave but Linda quickly pull him for a kiss. Ivan pushed her back.

That's when I make known of my presence. I angrily walk to pull on linda's hair. She was startled.

" what is it you don't understand, he doesn't love you. Leave him alone" I said each word as I pull on her hair in anger

" let me go, leave me alone" she struggled to escape my clutch.

" Ivan, she is crazy please help me. She wants to kill me" linda exaggerated

That is when Ivan came out of the shock of seeing me.

" sweetheart , please let her go"

" don't tell me what to do Ivan. I'm sick and tired of seeing this witch trying to take you away from me"

Ivan smirked at what I said and quickly cover it up with a cough coz of the glare I shot at him" sweetheart , no one is going to take me away from you. I'm only yours to keep" something calm down in me as he said this.

He slowly move forward to me to release Linda from me.  Linda ran inside the house with the fear that I might pull on her hair again.

" you look charming when you're angry" teased ivan

" hey, don't let me hit you with that stone over there" I threatened

He rose his hand in surrender

" I'm sorry"

I rolled my eyes at him " I want more than a sorry"

" sweetheart you're being cheesy right now"

" fine, since I'm cheesy, I'm going back inside"

" wait, don't go" he chase after me

" you are.... " he cut me off with a kiss, a passionate one to be precise.

I have been waiting for this, all these time. I miss kissing him.

We pull away for breath

" How about that, was it more better than ' sorry' " he wiggled his brows at me.

" you're silly"

" but you love me anyways. " he said

We stood silent not sure of what to say

" I'm so...

" you....

We said at the same time

" you should go first" Ivan suggested

" Nope, you should "

He cleared his throat " I'm sorry for all that had happened . I didn't know that Linda was your cousin and even if I knew I wouldn't have cheated on you with her. She kissed me first and I was trying to push her away, that was when you saw us. "

" I'm sorry th ....." I shushed him with my finger

" I don't want to hear more. I've forgiven you long time ago. I knew you wouldn't cheat on me, I mean,  who else knows my cousin than I do. She is just too selfish for her own good" I said with a shake of head

Ivan also snickered " yeah you're right. Linda is something else"

" yeah,she is"

" when are you going to tell me what actually happened between you two that led to your breakup ? " he turn to look at me as I asked

" Now, if you like. " I looked surprised " you will tell me your story? "

He nodded at me while smiling  .

I turn to him with listening ear

" it all started ............. "
