Chapter 15: Meeting his family

Madison POV

I stepped out of the kitchen with a tray of pasta in my hand. I walked to the dining table and gently kept down the tray in my hand.

“Madison I think I am beginning to crave ice cream” Krystal pouts her lips at me. I laughed lowly and raised a brow at her.

“See this 22 years old doctor craving ice cream” I scoffed and she clicks her tongue at me.

“Am I not human Madison? I can..” her statements were interrupted by the sound of the door bell. My eyes went wide immediately, I clearly know who is at my door “Kingsley??” Krystal exclaimed as if she doesn’t know we are both expecting him.

“Yes!!!” I squealed childishly and ran to the door to welcome him in

“Damn, you said nothing yet about my ice cream” she groaned behind me but I ignored her and went to get the door.

I stood before and turned the door knob open to see my cousin Kingsley standing before me with a beautiful smile on his face. He does not look like the Kingsley I used to know; he looks more handsome.

Well, he has a chiseled jawline with high cheekbones that makes his face very defined. His nose is straight and fits perfectly in the center of his face. Kingsley is blessed with pink full lips, that when he smiles his smile is radiant, it can light up the room. His eyes are a deep brown color with thick eyelashes that accentuate his gaze. Overall, his face is symmetrical, and without any beard. Just the way I love my men to be but in this case, I can have nothing to do with Kingsley since he is my cousin.

I cannot imagine myself participating in family sexual sins. Eww….

“Baby!!!” he called out clearly happy as I am too. I jumped unto him immediately and wrapped my legs around his waist.

I could feel Kingsley’s hand caress my back gently. In less than a minute, I stepped down with this broad smile on my face.

“Awww, look at you Madison, you look amazing” he smiled and I made way for him to come into the house.

“Of course, what should you expect?” I laughed lowly and helped him to bring in his luggage.

I am sure Krystal is still standing by the kitchen door. I pulled in his luggage and shut the door quietly then turned around to see Krystal wasn’t standing by the kitchen door where I left her.

Where did she go?

“I thought you said Krystal is home with you” Kingsley said and I looked around the room to see if I will see her but she was nowhere to be found.

“Yeah, Krystal...” I mouthed then heard her loud voice from the kitchen.

“Madison! We are out of stock, I can’t a single cup of ice cream in here” she exclaimed and I slapped my forehead.

“Just come out already” I laughed lowly and few seconds later, she stepped out with a long face.

Kingsley laughed out immediately he saw her facial expression.

“Heyyy, young man you are back huh?” she chuckled and walked to him. Kingsley’s smile fades away immediately.

“Welcome..” she simply replied then turned around.

Oh, I thought she was gonna hug him. He is her crush isn’t it?

Or what am I getting wrong here…

“You came in with your load..are you planning on staying with us?” she asked him

“Uh, you mean my bags?..that…” he paused

“Oh yeah, I know you are not staying.. I forgot you said you won’t stay” she replied.

Now I am confused, what is going on between the two of them?

“Kingsley already told you he would not be staying? How sweet but he never told me” I chuckle

“There is nothing sweet about it Dr. Madison and besides, he mentioned it to me before he even thought of coming to NY. It is a good decision though” she chuckled and turned around to leave but I stopped her

“Oh okay, even if he isn’t gonna be staying with us, I can get him a room to spend the night right? How does that sound?” I asked Kingsley and he nods his head in agreement with me.

“Ok, cool..” Krystal shrugged

“I will need your help Krystal, please help me take him to his room, any room at all. Let me finish up with the food” I said to her.

She threw her gaze at Kingsley then back at me with a fake smile I guess, “Alright then” she replied then walked to me to grab his luggage from my hands.

“This way please” Krystal said as she walked away with the luggage pulling it behind her and Kingsley tagged behind as thy both made their way up the stair.

I stared closely at them for sometime then shrugged as I looked away. “I have no idea of what is wrong with the both of you” I mutter as lowly as I could then walk back into the kitchen.

Krystal POV

I lead the way to one of the rooms and as soon as I got to the door, I made an attempt to keep one of the bags I am carrying in my hand on the floor but kingsley took it from my hand and opened the door.

“After you” he said lowly.

I clenched my jaw and walked into the room, my lips were more than heavy to tell him thank you.

“So this is where you would spend your night, a dark room for you, the way you always your room as dark as your heart is” I faked a smile and turned to leave but then he held my arm stopping me from leaving.

“What?!” I fired immediately looking into his eyes.

“You are not happy to see me Krystal?” that’s the most funniest question I’ve heard today.

“why on earth should I be? To be honest, I wished you never came back..you ruined my day from the moment Madison told me you would be coming” I replied and he stared at me with his eyes wide.

“What? You think I will ever remain quiet?” I scoffed. He is clearly surprised I gave him a sharp reply.

“Krystal you don’t have to be this way, I am sorry… I know you have every reason to be mad at me, but at least can you please here me out?” he replied and I scoffed.

“I bet everything that would come out of your mouth would be worthless” I said with my teeth against each other.

“This is your room for a night, I hope you do as you say; leave the house tomorrow” I replied and pulled my hands away from his grip.

“Krystal….”
