Madison POV

Krystal is giving me a confusing vibe. I expected her to be damn happy about Kinsley's arrival but the vibes she is displaying is showing she is not happy about it.

Isn’t he her crush? Who wouldn’t be happy to have their crush around them?

If Krystal is this way, then it clearly says she has no feelings for Kingsley and that is something I am going to find hard to believe. I know Krystal to be all over my cousin right from when we were in college.

I walked into the kitchen, there is nothing at all for me to do here. All the food has been prepared. I intentionally sent her to take Kingsley into his room hoping she would come back with a smile on her face but, now I doubt she will.

I walked out of the kitchen to check out what Kingsley had brought for us. I spot a big white nylon bag by the chair and another nylon bag on the couch.

“You bought us goodies?” I giggled lowly as I walked to the couch with a bright smile on my face. I reached for the nylon then heard a voice from behind “ I am really hungry” Krystal groaned as she huffed into the kitchen.

I raised my brow at her and slowly scratched the back of my neck, I turned to the stairs and peeped if I could see Kingsley coming but there was no sign of him.

“Oh where is Kingsley?” I asked her as I fold in my lips and then lowered my back to resume checking out what could be in the nylon bag but then Krystal spoke up again, interrupting me.

“I really don’t know how to explain this to you, but I’ll be honest with you Madison, I really don’t like the idea of your cousin suddenly appearing” she replied and I stood shocked.

“Krystal..what happened? Why do you have to say something like that? Did you both..?” I asked her not yelling at her. Krystal is not dumb; she has a reason behind what she had just said.

I sighed and turned back to the nylon bag then took out two cups of frozen ice cream.

“Hey, did you mention you wanted ice cream?” I asked her but she said nothing but to glare at the cups in my hands.

“Okay, I get it now. You had a fight with Kingsley?” I asked her and walked to her holding the nylon bag in my hands. She sighed and folded her arms as she pulled them closer to her chest and looked away, “can I discuss about it with you later? He is around now, in your house, let him feel at home” she groaned and grabbed the nylon from m hand as we both walk into the kitchen to empty the things he bought in the fridge and the freezer.

“Whatever happened between you two, just know you would spare no details. Now, the ice cream is here for you hmm?” I smiled as I crossed my hands around her shoulder then walked out of kitchen with her.

“I am really hungry, I can’t wait to eat. Your cousin is taking so much time up there” she groaned.

“Weren’t you the one in the room with him? What is he doing then?” I asked her and she rolled her eyes.

“The young man is doing nothing, he should be here soon anyways” she replied. I shrugged then walked to the table as I pulled a seat back and sat down gently.

In less than a minute, Kingsley’s voice came up.

“I am sorry I kept you waiting” he said and walked to the dining.

“No, it’s okay actually.. but I thought you were having a cool bath, what were you doing in there then?” I asked him. Kingsley laughed lowly before he gave me a reply.

“I was just unpacking some clothes” he replied. Krystal had already begun eating. He turned to look at her with a facial expression I could not understand.

Krystal did not bother to look at any one of us; instead, she kept eating her food. “why would you be unpacking when you would still leave?” she asked him

“I am leaving yes, it’s not that I won’t come around again” he replied but she did not reply.

“Yeah, that reminds me, where are you leaving to?” I asked him and took my cutlery into my hands to begin eating.

“Work Madison, that is the main reason I came back here” he replied. I turned to him with a pout then shrugged.

“Oh, I see and what job is that?” I smiled. Kingsley took a spoonful into his mouth , and a side smile appeared on his face after that with his eyes close. I knew it!...My meals are always good.

I chuckled lowly as I kept looking at the facial expression he had on his face “Good huh?” I asked with a smile. He chewed his food for some seconds then licked his lower lips as he opened his eyes. “Madison, you’re the best!” he said with a thumb up.

“Thank you” I simply replied and turned back to continue with my meal

“You know you shouldn’t be asking me all these questions Madison, it’s still too early. I thought you would entertain me instead” he chuckled and I rolled my eyes.

“You need entertainment?” I asked him with a low laugh

“Okay, I told you. I am a computer scientist and I will be resuming work tomorrow” he replied and I sighed. I turned to Krystal, she is the reason I asked him that question. She still gave no attention.

It’s clear to me, something happened between the both of them and if Kingsley is at fault, I am gonna kill him.

“So you mean you are a computer scientist, still working in the company you use to work for?” I asked him and he nods his head.

“What the! What type of company will allow his staff to leave office for two years?” I asked finding it unbelievable.

“You see what I am saying, your questions would get too much” he laughed

“Fine, whatever” I rolled my eyes

“Welcome back anyways” I shrugged.

My phone made a vibrating sound on the table beside me, a text message notification.

I paused eating and picked up my phone to see I got a text message from Zach.

Ok…I never gave him my contact number and I am not surprised of how he got it. I sighed and unlocked my phone to read his text;

“Are you home? I am sending something to you now and you have no option but to accept it”

I scoffed and smiled then replied his text, “Well, first of all you lack manners and I never asked you for anything Mr. man” I texted back. I raised my head up to see Krystal smiling at me “Who was that?” Kingsley asked.

I don’t think I am gonna answer his question.
