Chapter 32: Chapter 32

When he was out of my sight, I took a deep breath realizing that I was holding my breath, unable to breathe properly when he was around. I always feel so nervous that my body weakens.

He was right. I would not forget him if we had met before, how could I? Damn, that devilishly handsome guy is one of a kind, there is no way I could forget him. There is also no way for us to meet since I came from a far away village... far from this place. I just couldn't understand why my body is feeling and reacting this way whenever he is near. It was probably the reason why almost anyone here praises and worships him and his friends.

I entered the office of the administrator after that mini incident. My mind was a little messed up with the thoughts about that man who had invaded my head. It makes me wonder why he came out of the administration office... but being the owner of this university, he definitely has the reasons to be anywhere here.

Good thing that the administrator had no meetings when I came in. She was a bit surprised to see me once again.

I smiled at her.

"You are getting comfortable in my office, I see." She stated as she motioned her hands to offer me a seat in front of her table.

I bit my lip, "I really apologize for consuming your time like this."

She smiled and shook her head. "If a student's a little loss, it is my job to help her," she kindly stated.

I presented Mrs. Francisco with the paper containing my father's information. She looked at it before returning her gaze back at me.

"Ma'am, I just wanted to know if you have a record of my father's previous address? It was not written in this document," I started, getting straight to the point with the question that I had.

"Hmm..." She looked at the document once again. "I have no other records of him aside from this. It is a policy of the university to clean up and discard information of students here ten years after leaving this institution." She explained.

My hope suddenly disappeared. Her explanation makes sense, it is valid.

"I see," I answered sadly.

How am I supposed to find them, then?

"But... it may not be of great help, but I know that your father lives in Polaris. It is a large city, however," She stated.

That made me stand up from my seat. I immediately reached for her hand and held it for a few seconds, "Thank you! It is such a great help, Mrs. Francisco."

She smiled before answering, "It is a pleasure to help you, Ms. Underwood."

"I shall waste no seconds. I am really grateful." I stated and excused myself to start looking for my father's family.

Polaris. A city named after a constellation, I see.

I rushed in front of the men's dormitory. I'm going to wait for Tobias to help me get there. It would be convenient for me to have someone who knows the places around here. He could help me find them easily that way.

However, after hours of waiting in front of the dormitory, there is still no trace or signs of Tobias coming home. He is probably a little busy studying or he must still have classes at this time.

Being impatient, especially this time, I left the men's dormitory and went out of the university by myself. I could just ask for some directions from other people. I shouldn't be wasting my time as it is already afternoon, soon the sun will set and I would need for tomorrow to come to search for them. That would take too long.

When I reached the side road, I motioned my hand as the Taxi approached me. I immediately went inside the Taxi as soon as the driver stopped in front of me and sat on the passenger seat.

In the rearview mirror, the Taxi driver looked at me as he asked, "Where to, ma'am?"

"Polaris," I answered.

He nodded and proceeded to drive. I have no fear of him making me lost in this place because my thoughts were filled with my father's family. I may have relatives in Polaris and I am so determined to find them. And I knew that I could protect myself in case something happened. Even though I couldn't, my will to find my relatives is still dominant.

"It is quite a big city. Where shall I drop you off?" He asked.

That made me think. Right, if it is a big city, I should know where to start first. "How about at the center of the Polaris..." I stated.

The driver once again nodded.

After minutes of driving into places that I have never been before, we stopped at a crowded town. I paid the driver and immediately went outside the car.

The Sign seemed extravagant was in front, written there is 'Polaris City'' and a phrase that I did not bother to read.

Damn, this place is so big, I wonder who led this place. I could even see how organized the place is.

Oh Maive, how do I start?

I decided on proceeding to ask around the crowd, "May I know if you know where the Underwood Family resides?"

The woman I asked shook her head, looking puzzled at me.

I asked most of the people here but all they did was shake their heads.

I walked around asking people that I did not realized I was already far from the place where I started. No one seemed to know my family here.

"Uhm... mind if I ask you if you know where the family of Underwood resides?"

The man who was facing me with his back turned around. I gasped when I realized who it was. He was one of the 3K's. I am not sure if he is Butch Fender or Cyrus Roaster. I just knew that he looks the most approachable among his group.

With the amusement in his eyes, he looked at me from head to toe which made me feel conscious. "Wait... we're in the same class, right?"

I nodded, getting a little shy and nervous but not as intense as for their leader.

"I am Butch..." He said.

"Maive Underwood," I said when he paused a little as if he was asking for my name.

He nodded and said. "I am not really from here so I don't really know about the people in this place."

I smiled and thanked him. He looks the nicest among his group and I am glad that he was the one I met here and not his other two friends whose presence screams dominance.

"Are you alone?" He asked, his brows raised a bit as he looked around me.

I nodded in return.

"I shall join you then. It's dangerous for a woman to be alone." His manly voice filled my ears that I couldn't reject his offer.
