Chapter 82: Chapter 82
The next day, when Flora arrived at the hotel, she heard a girl calling her from behind, saying, "Irma Brown, Mr. Kevin wants you to go and find him when you start work. Don't forget, I'm leaving."
Flora stopped in her tracks, didn't turn around, and angrily gritted her teeth, "Kevin! Tell him to go..." Suddenly, an icy smell came from behind, making Flora shiver, and she quickly turned around.
When she turned around, she came face to face with Kevin's gloomy handsome face. She couldn't bring herself to say the word 'die' that she had held in her mouth; instead, she had to swallow it back, looking somewhat stunned at the unexpected appearance of Kevin behind her!
How did he end up on the 25th floor? And why did he suddenly appear behind her like a ghost? The girl who had just called out to her heard her bold words and saw Kevin, so she turned and fled. As she left, she even gave Flora a sympathetic look. In Flora's eyes, it seemed like it was time for her to pack up and go home.
Flora looked at the girl running away in panic and chuckled, "She's really a kid who can't take a joke. Look how scared she got. Hah, Mr. Kevin, you wouldn't be like that, would you?"
Kevin, dressed in all black, had his hands in his pockets and walked towards her with a cool stride. The gloom on his face disappeared and was replaced by his usual wicked smile. He gently opened his lips and said, "Of course not. Miss Flora, you are known for your playful nature, even daring to take off my clothes. So, a short sentence is nothing to you, right?"
Stingy! He was still thinking about her trying to undress him, wasn't she unsuccessful? She still hadn't seen what was tattooed on his back! Instead, she almost got herself killed because of him.
Remembering the thrilling experience from yesterday, Flora couldn't help but let her anger rise. She sneered at him, "Mr. Kevin, didn't you get revenge yesterday? Why are you still so petty about such a trivial matter?"
"Oh...did I? I'm sorry, I'll forget about it from today," Kevin shrugged nonchalantly. He saw everything that happened yesterday, and thinking about it... he found it interesting!
Flora looked at his irritating expression and said angrily, "Do you know that I almost got killed by you yesterday? I almost got shot by those mysterious people! I was even scared by the police for no reason at all. Don't you think your joke went too far?!"
Kevin glanced at her angrily and smiled calmly, "You're overthinking, those people weren't shooting at you. They wouldn't bother shooting at someone as inconsequential as you."
"You - !" Flora was furious. What did he mean she was inconsequential? Accidents happen, even if the person being shot at was Maxwell, they could accidentally hurt her, right?
Kevin stood in front of her, looking at her up close, and smiled lightly. "Don't worry, although I like joking with you, I won't go as far as to kill you. Do you think it's that easy to disable the surveillance cameras in a five-star hotel?"
"It was you who had them damaged?" Flora lowered her voice and asked in confusion, "Why?"
"Of course, it was for you," Kevin said in his usual casual and indifferent tone.
It made Flora unable to figure out if his words were true or false. For her? How could he be so kind-hearted??!!
"Why are you so eager for Maxwell's death?" Flora scrutinized him and asked the question that had been bothering her. They were clearly two strangers, so why did they look alike? And why was there such deep hatred?
"You're overthinking, I didn't wish for his death. I told you yesterday, I'm just a bystander. Everything that happened at the hotel yesterday had nothing to do with me!" Kevin said indifferently, and his eyes showed obvious indifference when he mentioned the name 'Maxwell'.
Flora saw it and continued, "If you didn't have any hatred towards him, then you should have stopped everything that happened at the hotel yesterday. After all, it's your territory!"
"Why should I interfere in someone else's business? Do you think I, Kevin, am someone who likes to meddle in affairs that have nothing to do with me?" Kevin sneered.
"There must be some sort of hatred between you two," Flora firmly believed.
"Alright, even if it's boring, don't put so much effort into exploring other people's privacy. You must change this habit!" Kevin scolded her with dissatisfaction. This meddlesome woman, why did she always have such a strong curiosity? It made him resentful just looking at her!
"Oh," Flora obediently responded, then asked, "Mr. Kevin, what do you want to find me for? It's not to see if I'm dead or if I'm working properly, right? Yes! This fits perfectly with your voyeuristic nature!"
"You're guessing other people's thoughts again!" Kevin was displeased.
Flora shrank her head and didn't say another word, waiting for him to give instructions.
"Make a set of evening dresses for me for the party, it should be done before next Monday," Kevin ordered. This was not a task that Flora should be doing; there were plenty of other people who could do it. He only casually ordered it because he did enjoy watching the chaos. He came to the 25th floor this morning out of boredom!
"Understood, I'll get right to it," Flora obediently responded, then asked, "Is there anything else, Mr. Kevin? If not, I'll go busy myself?" Anything would be better than staying with him!
"Go ahead," Kevin said those two words, then turned and walked towards the corridor. He could even sense Flora behind him making all sorts of grimaces and cursing him!
But he didn't turn around, his smile grew wider, and he quickened his pace to leave!
