Three days later

Katerina POV

My ears were working way before my eyes opened but I'm way too weak to be able to say anything

I flicked my eyes open and flicked them close again due to the sun rays that was disturbing me

Would you pls close those blinds,the sun rays is disturbing my eyes" I say to no one in particular my voice being just a whisper

Just before the words were out of my mouth, they were all fussing over me

Oh she's awake, finally"

I was so scared,I thought she would never open her eyes"

A voice that I knew as Anna's said with excitement in her voice

My eyes finally adjusting to the light I could see Damian and Anna standing in the room with Anna fussing over me but damian just had this smile

How sure are we that she's alright?" Damian asked throwing a glance at Anna

You're the one whose not alright jerk"

I hiss at him throwing him dagger gazes

But instead of replying me,both he and Anna just started rejoicing again

You guys look childish doing that"

I say to damian rolling my eyes at both of them

Miss I'll get you food,I know you must be hungry"

Anna said to me taking a walk towards the door

You're a darling Anna,indeed I am starving" I reply Anna giving her a grateful smile

Just as Anna leaves the room, Damian comes to sit beside me holding my hand

I thought you weren't going to wake up princess, I was so worried after you slumped down" He said to me giving me a kiss on my head

But right now,I have no idea or a clue to what he's talking about,I went to bed last night and I'm awake so what the heck is he talking about

What do you mean I slumped down,I went to bed duhhhhh" I say to him staring at him quizzically

My expression must have let him know that I definitely don't know what he's talking about

You don't remember getting poisoned and slumping down? You've been out for three days Katerina"

He said to me taking his hand from my hands and placing them on my head

But he just saying that,the memories came back tumbling in a rush

Of course now I remember,I had met Lola, I was about telling the guys but then I had slumped down with blood coming out from my eyes and mouth,the last faces I had seen we're Damian's and Oliver

Yeah I remember but who would poison me?"

I question damian becoming panic striken

I don't know princess but we're making a search for the person,but Oliver thinks that your being poisoned has to do with the secret you found out"

He said to me matter of fact moving towards the door to collect the food from Anna

Eat everything miss and if it's not enough,I'll bring more" Anna said to me just as she opened the door

I can't help but smile at her care,she really is a good person,more like a mum to me with all her fuss

Damian, xina has a big secret"

I say to him trying to stand up from the bed

We'll talk about that one later, but right now I've got something more important to tell you"

He replied me positioning a chair for me to sit

What could be more important to the fact of you knowing xina's secret" I question him munching the toast that Anna had made for me

He just kept moving around the room unable to say anything for a few moments,I can't help but think that whatever that's been disturbing him is really big

Alright let's do this,I'll tell you xina's secret then you can tell me what's bothering you later" I smile at him rounding up my breakfast

Standing up and facing the mirror to pack my hair that is an actual mess right now,I take a toothbrush and brush my teeth before coming back to sit on the bed

Have a sit Damian and don't interrupt me till am done"

I say to him corking my head to give him that don't you dare kinda stare

I won't princess,I promise"

He smiled as he sat down close to me

Oh I almost forgot, where's Oliver? He needs to be here too"

I questioned him suddenly staring round the room

Just at that moment Oliver walked in smiling stupidly I must add

Katerina,Anna told me you were awake I came to see for myself, how are you? You feel better now? Have you eaten? Do you?

He kept at it going on and on

I had to laugh at his antics, it's wonderful to see that a lot of people cared about my welfare

I'm fine Oliver,I was just asking about you from Damian,I was about telling him what I learnt about xina's life"

I say to Oliver after he seemed to have calmed down a bit

He asked gesturing to the chair by Damian's side

After we had all settled down I started my wonderful story that I had heard from Lola

Well I did tell you guys that a girl wolf named Lola told me all this, she said....

Flashback

Xina has a complicated family tree"

Lola had told me that day

Her mother was a witch and her father was a wolf, naturally the genes of xina's father was implanted in her but her mother fell in love with a vampire but couldn't leave her husband because of the enemity between the wolves and vampires

But then an opportunity came when the wolves and vampires had a war and xina's father was killed, her mother saw it as a chance to marry the vampire but she still had one hitch, xina was a wolf,at least a non transformed wolf, on the night that xina was supposed to make her first kill to finally become a wolf,her mom made a spell that changed her completely to a human"

It was at this point that I became shocked, so xina had been a semi wolf from a witch mother before she became a vampire and she kept all this secret from her vampire mate to be

Lola had to take a sip of water, before she continued

When her mother performed that spell,the power she needed was powered from her life source so as soon as she had done it, she was dying but not before making sure that xina had drunk her vampire to be father's blood, her mom died that night and that same night xina became a full fledged vampire child of the king of Darahy living in his kingdom under the pretence of his long lost princess who had been found"

Lola had said as a finisher to the story

Presently

So you're saying that xina isn't really princess of Darahy but she's from the wolf pack?"

Damian asked me unable to believe this story

Yep that's what I was told, but practically she isn't a wolf anymore,cos she was cured by her mom before her mom died and the king of Darahy accepted her as his daughter so technically she's his daughter,after all his blood did turn her to a vampire"

I say to damian getting tired of voicing out someone's history

This is intense,we've got to tell father,he would never let you get married to a half cast" Oliver said directing the statement to Damian

They both stood up from their seats a cue I take to be that they're leaving and are going to find their father

Damian you said you had something to tell me"

I say to him standing up as well to stop him

I'll do that when I'm back princess not now,it's not something that I can just rush and spit out" He replied me arranging his collar

And just with that they both walked out,leaving me alone in the room

Well I guess I better have a cool shower and take a stroll"

With that in mind,I got into the bathroom took me shower and then dressed up

I was almost done dressing up when the door opened again,I didn't even turn to think who it was I just thought it was Damian

You're back so fast, what did your father say about..."

I say to the person but turning to face the person I stop short as the person am talking to has a mask covered around the face

Moving backward a little and trying as much as I can not to show any fear

Who are you?"

I ask the masked person

Your worst nightmare" The person answered

And just with that it was lights out for me as I fell down to the floor.....
