Chapter 33: Chapter 33

ALARIC'S POV

It's been three days since the disappearance of Lenora that it made my beast weak and I wasn't able to act like the way I used to.

Every single pack in Florida had been thoroughly checked but there was no way I would be able to inform the higher council because my father would definitely find out about Lenora and I wasn't ready for him to find out about her yet because I had no idea how he would react.

He would obviously want me to mate the daughter of one of those chief councils and might reluctantly accept Lenora since she's just a werewolf and not even the daughter of an Alpha.

Josh and I had placed a visit to Lenora's grandmother the next day after her disappearance but the old woman had no idea where lenora could be and was instantly worried about her grandchild.

I regretted approaching her that way and giving her a shock but I would do anything to have Lenora in my arms again and probably deal with her for running off like that but to hell with that thought, my beast and I miss her so much and there was no way it would let me lay a finger on her but would want to mate with her immediately and mark her on the spot.

Jenny had tried to comfort Lenora's grandmother by telling her he received a call about her whereabouts and that she was back at the pack house.

The old woman was relieved but I could tell that there were doubts in her eyes as she insisted on talking to Lenora on the phone.

It took a lot for her to finally accept the fact that Lenora was safe, not like I care but I would hate for Lenora to eventually find out that something went wrong with the only person she has that is a family since her parents and supposedly said sister are out of it.

After she was calm and we returned to the pack house, I hadn't been myself and I found out that the wolf mistress and cancelled out school for the time being since she was scared I could get to the peak of my anger and do something bad to the students.

"Any news yet?" I asked Josh who had been standing beside me for some hours in my room.

"You've been asking me the same question for the past two hours my lord" he responded in his usual soothing manner but I clearly wasn't in any state to be calmed. I wanted to declare war on whoever might have taken her from me.

There was no way she could have ran away all by herself, I've also been interrogating Asher and his pest over the past few days and I've definitely tortured them in every way possible but they had claimed they knew nothing about her whereabouts.

They weren't lying because I'm a Lycan afterwards and it's really easy for me to tell if a mere wolf was lying but in this case they weren't and it made me fucking mad than usual knowing full well that the closest enemies I had obviously had nothing to do with her and I couldn't think of another way.

I've sniffed all of her clothes and tried countless times to sniff my way to her but there was not a single sign of her smell anywhere.

If she had truly ran away then it would have definitely been the fault of the bastard Asher because the last time I saw her was when she was crying on her bed after finding out about Asher and Tala's affair which was clearly obvious right from the start but she chose to be oblivious to the obvious.

"Find her and don't return to me until you do!" I yelled at Josh and for the first time in hundreds of years I sensed the fear in him and it made me feel bad but I bet I was hurting even more than he was.

I don't think I've ever raised my voice or yelled at him before now but I wasn't totally at fault as I really needed to wrap lemora around my arms.

We were not mated yet, but her absence still had a lot of impact on me and it was all because I'm a fuckimg lycan. I've been on this earth for a long period of time yet I have been lonely without my mate until now, and the fact that she's far and about to be taken away from me after all these years made it hard and worse for my beast as it was begging to unleash itself from me and find her itself.

It believes I'm doing a bad job at searching for her but if I were to let it out for just a while in my current state then I might as well kiss everyone goodbye because they will be as good as dead in under five minutes and I can't let that happen.

"I apologize for the discomfort, your highness but I'm trying my best to find her too '' Josh said in a really low tone that I hadn't realised he never left and was still in the room with me.

Even though I looked really scary at the moment, he still stood by me and I would have definitely given him a pat on the back if not for our current situation and also I had gulped down two bottles of champagne designed specially for lycans.

I knew I was getting drunk but it just felt good as the alcohol burnt my throat at every gulp. I wanted to feel that heat.

"My lord!" The door barged open as a slender figure ran in before she bowed her head at the sight of me. My vision was blurry and I wasn't seeing clearly but the image before me definitely looked like my Lenora but I tried sniffing her but couldn't find her smell yet her smile was the same.

I stood up from the couch as I bent to bring her head up with relief in me. I had finally found her and it made me glad even though I couldn't smell her perfectly and it disturbed me.

"My love" I said to her as my palms caressed her cheeks that were now really hot at my touch and my Lenora's face looked just perfect on my hand.

I was going to lean in for a kiss when Josh's voice called my name out loud and the moment inturned to look at him and back at my Lenora she wasn't there anymore but was now replaced with Jenny.

With a scowl on my face I released her face from my hand and sat back down on the couch. I could tell I was getting drunk as I was starting to hallucinate and I was also staggering.

The thought of me almost kissing Jenny made my beast angry as I let out a loud growl that made the two lycans in my room flinch.

"How dare you come so close to me!" I yelled at Jenny who immediately bowed to apologise to me but I was still feeling disgusted.

"I'm sorry my lord but I have good news about Lenora's whereabouts " She said and my ears suddenly stood, paying full attention to her words.

"Continue " I asked and even in my drunk state I really wanted to hear only about my lenora.

"Due to the mass publications about her whereabouts we were able to trace her movements by meeting the first cab she took from right outside the pack house and through him we were able to track the rest and she's currently In Seattle but we don't know the exact place yet."

"What are we waiting for, let's go there right now! " I commanded and I tried to stand up before Josh immediately held me as I was about to slump.

"I don't think it's best in your current state, your highness, we could wait till tomorrow " Josh contributed and I felt disgusted by his words that I almost hit him before a little sense came back to my head.

"Since its a 5 hours flight to seattle, he could be sober before then" Jenny suggested and the rest of the minutes was spent on the two of them arguing on whether or not I should take the flight now or tomorrow, Josh had a valid point but I was too impatient to wait for that long besides we don't know the exact pack she might be in Seattle and would still spend a lot of time searching.

"Prepare the Jet now" I ordered before commanding them to both get out of my room and they scurried away immediately.

I hadn't bothered to have my bath since she left but since I'll be seeing her, I needed to look good for her so I got into the shower even In my drunk state but I could still handle myself a bit.

After some minutes both Josh and Jenny returned to my room to inform me about the jet that was ready for take off and I took a deep breath before walking out of the room.

As I walked down the hallway, I noticed that not even a single soul was outside their dorm room as they could all sense the anger in me and wouldn't dare to come a bit close to me or say any word as the house was dead silent and the only sound was from the huge wall clock.

My eyes were still a little bit blurred up but I was better than before since it doesn't really take much time for me to recover from my drunk state as long as I stopped the drink.

A thought dawned on me and I realised that I couldn't afford to leave the pack house unsupervised with no one I trust being around so I turned to face Josh.

"Your highness " He responded with a slight bow the instant I called his name.

"I can't trust this house to manage itself with just the guards so I'm leaving you in charge till I get back "

"But your highness, who will be with you?" He asked and I noticed the concerned look on his face but I wasn't a baby that needed to be seated.

"You don't have to worry about me, I'm strong after all and I'm the son of King Adolph. Jenny will be beside me but I want you to take care of this pack till I'm back " I said and turned to Jenny who had excitement written all over her face.

Perhaps she was just happy to be on this trip with me as she's always cheerful but the thought of me almost mistaking her for my Lenora flashed in my head and made me cringe.

I immediately removed my face from hers before I would be more irritated by looking at her.

"Right this way, your highness" Josh said and cleared the path for me in the Jet. I could see on his face that he really wanted to come along with me but could not say any word to object to my decision

I would have wanted him to come with me but the pack needs to be watched by someone I trust, however I trust no one but him alone.

"I'll be back soon, don't let me down " I said to him before entering the Jet and settling on my usual spot with Jenny right in front of me. It was already late at night so we should probably get there tomorrow morning before sunrise.

I'm coming for you my Lenora.
