Chapter 70: Chapter 70

Old Stairs

Dante.

I began to try wiggling my hands away from the chains used to tie my hands together behind the chair even though it hurt as hell as it bit my skin.

I looked at the chair and I noticed that it was an old wooden chair. I got an idea of how I could get me and Nathan out of here but it would hurt so badly.

I had to do it still. I groaned as I stood up to my feet with the chair still attached to my body.

"What are you doing?" Roseline asked and walked closer, but before could get to me, I jumped up as far as I could and came crashing to the ground.

The wooden chair smashed the ground and broke into pieces immediately. I groaned loudly in pain as a piece of the chair had stabbed me in the right chest and I was bleeding badly.

Roseline rushed forward to try and stop me, but I suddenly pulled out the wood from my chest and slashed it at her. It was wood and it was pointed so it would act well as a stake as could kill her.

I placed my hand on my chest tightly to slow down the blood flow until I heal so I won't pass out first.

The other lady dashed at me with Vampire speed, but I swung my hand in the air, the chains still tied around my wrists wrapping around her neck.

I gritted my teeth and pulled the chain tighter. It hurt my wrists so badly but at least, it was choking her.

Roseline dashed at me again, but I suddenly kicked the lady in front of me, causing her to run into Roseline and push the both of them to the floor.

I ran towards Nathan quickly with my hands still on my chest continuously wincing in pain. I looked around and spotted the keys lying on the floor after it had fallen from Roseline.

I quickly ran towards the keys and grabbed it before hurriedly trying them on Nathan's chains.

Roseline slowly got up and I saw that she had fallen on a small shard of wood. She crawled forward to stop me, but Nathan immediately planted a kick up her jaw, knocking her back to the ground.

I finally unlocked Nathan's chain and he stood up immediately, rubbing his red wrists.

"Hurry up," I handed him the keys and he began to try them on my chains. My chains were finally unlocked and they dropped to the ground. My wrists were so red and there were even tiny cuts on them.

I looked at Roseline and the other lady on the floor and I felt so angry. I grabbed Roseline by the neck and she groaned as I lifted her up.

I threw a punch in her face even though it hurt my chest and dropped her to the ground. She dared to drug Nathan and Viktor when I was there, but the person who actually dared to drug me was this bitch.

I looked down at her with a fierce glare and she tried to move away, but I kicked her side, a whimper escaping her mouth.

She had barely recovered from that when I kicked her other side.

"You bitch!" I yelled at her and I looked around the floor for a piece of wood, but Nathan tugged at my shoulder.

"We have to leave now," he say quickly and I realized he was right. Javier could have seen the test and be on his way here right now.

"Let's go," I said and ran towards the door. My chest was already healing since it was an injury caused by wood and blood was barely seeping out.

I groaned as I opened the door from the edge since there was no handle or knob.

The door creaked open slowly and as soon as the space was big enough to go though, I ran out of the room.

We were standing in a dark corridor and I didn't know which way to go. There was a dim glint of light in the left direction and I chose to go that way.

"Here." I ran down the corridor quickly, panting tiredly.

I stopped as I saw that the light I had seen was the twilight shining in through the tiny dirty window on the wall.

"What is this place?" Nathan asked in frustration and I rolled my eyes. At least he wasn't weak or injured. He was perfectly fine and I was the one with an headache, paining chest and fatigue.

I looked up and I saw a wall up ahead.

"Let's go," I said running towards the end of the corridor and as I thought, there was a staircase leading down. It was made of wood and it was old with holes in it.

I stretched out one of my feet cautiously and placed it on the fist step of the stairs. The wood creaked loudly, but it didn't seem like it would break from the effect of our weight.

"Let me go down first," I said as a precaution and Nathan nodded. I slowly walked down the stairs, every step I took creating a loud annoying creak and the wood beneath me feeling like it would give way at any time and hurrying me to move to the next step.

I quickly raised my right leg up as the spot where I placed it on gave in.

I walked more cautiously this time and I finally got to the foot of the stairs. I looked up and Nathan slowly climbed down the creaking garbage wooden stack. That's what it is.
