Chapter 69: Chapter 69

Egoistic

Dante.

I looked down and I saw that I was sitting on the chair with my hands tied to the back of the chair. I tried to move my hand, but I felt a sharp bite in my wrists and I knew that they were bound by silver chains.

"You're finally awake," I heard Nathan's voice and I look sideways to see him also tied to a chair.

"Hi," he said and I sighed.

How the hell did we end up here? We were supposed to be the predators at the club, but look at us.

I should have realised it that it couldn't be just a coincidence that I met that lady on the day the Mystic Fangs wanted to send a message and on the day that we wanted to catch Roseline.

I sighed again.

I let my guard down and I felt so stupid.

"The text message, were you the one that sent it?" I asked and Nathan stared at me for a while as if he didn't know what I was saying.

"No," he shook his head.

"I was about to text you, but I didn't send it before someone attacked me," Nathan replied.

The attacker must have sent the message to lure me there. It was all planned. The news you drug would starts taking it's effect on me when I get there.

"We have to find a way to get out of here," I said I looked around again. There was no window in the room.

The only way out was through the narrow wooden door at the front.

I looked up as the door opened with a loud creak and two women walked into the room.

It was Roseline and the lady from the club.

"Sorry but there is no way out of here for the both of you," Roseline said with a wicked smile and I itched so badly to ruin that face of hers.

"I'm going to make sure that you to regret ever laying your hands on me." I gritted my teeth with a threatening glare.

"Well, I'm going to call Mr. Javier now and let him know what we have here."

"What the hell do you two want??" Nathan asked and I sighed on the inside. He shouldn't be asking that question, it would make them believe we are helpless and desperate.

"We were just trying to do our business, you were the ones who came to interfere," Roseline replied and I scowled at her.

"You came to Pandemonium the other day and you drugged our drinks!" I said and she chuckled as if she found my anger amusing.

"It was merely a warning, you didn't have to be so egoistic about it," Roseline said and I knew deep down that she was right.

I just couldn't let this warning go. I was angry that they felt I could be threatened. I was angry that someone had the guts to drug people with me when I was there.

To sum it up, I was egoistic.

"Have you called him yet?" Roseline asked the other lady and I looked up.

"I've been calling him, but he isn't picking up the damn call," she replied.

They were talking about Javier. We were lucky that the two of them didn't lay a finger on us, well they were lucky, because then, they would really pay.

But if Javier comes to know that I, the Alpha of the Black Cedar Pack and CEO of Rivera Consolidated was being held hostage by his subordinates, he would rush down here immediately and torture the hell out of me.

"Well, keep trying, we are definitely going to get rewarded for this," Roseline said with a bright smile and she crossed her arms over her chest.

The other lady kept dialing Javier's number, but it kept ringing out.

"Damn it, he's not picking the call," she throws her hands in the air in frustration.

Roseline sighs and then, she suddenly looks up as she gets an idea.

"Have you tried sending him a text?" She asks and the lady nods.

"Well, hurry up and do it," Roseline says with slight irritation in her voice and the lady rolls her eyes before raising her phone up to send the text.

"How did they get you?" Nathan asked and I looked sideways to face him, saying nothing to answer his question.

"Well, I did," the lady from Pandemonium replied with a wide grin.

"I Lisa, brought down the almighty Alpha Dante and had him miserably tied down," she said with a sharp excited voice that made me want to rip out her throat.

"It was the bartender, wasn't it?" I asked softly, trying to preserve my energy. I don't think the drug added to the drink was just a sedative.

It made me feel so tired and weak.

"You signaled him to spike my drink, didn't you?" I asked, remembering seeing them share glances that I stupidly ignored.

"So smart of me right?" She asked with a grin and I'm pretty sure all of us sighed and rolled our eyes.

I didn't know how long they would keep us here for, but I was sure someone was already looking for I and Nathan right now.

Still, Javier would come here the instant he gets to know that I am being held captive and I can't afford to wait here till we were rescued.

I began to try wiggling my hands away from the chains used to tie my hands together behind the chair even though it hurt as hell as it bit my skin.

I looked at the chair and I noticed that it was an old wooden chair. I got an idea of how I could get me and Nathan out of here but it would hurt so badly.

I had to do it still. I groaned as I stood up to my feet with the chair still attached to my body.

"What are you doing?" Roseline asked and walked closer, but before could get to me, I jumped up as far as I could and came crashing to the ground.
