Chapter 143: Chapter 143

Bridge

Dante.

As I got close, I sensed something about the man the bartender was talking to.

He was a fucking Vampire.

As soon as he saw me, he began to run immediately.

"Nico! Hurry up!" I chased after the Vampire as he ran through the club. The crowd in the club was preventing him from moving at super speed so I have to make sure he can't.

I reached into my pocket and pulled out a small gun that was filled with silver pellets.

"Excuse me." I ran into a couple who were dancing and quickly ran between them.

I cocked the gun and I fired the silver pellet at his leg.

It hit him and he stopped running for a while before running again. I tried to shoot him again, but he ran out of the club.

That should be enough to slow him down.

He began to run down the street, but he could only move at a little more than human speed.

"Start the car, follow that man," I said through the telepathic link and I quickly climbed into my car.

I started it and tapped my foot on the floor of the car impatiently, staring at the entrance of the club and waiting for Nico.

He soon stepped out and hurriedly climbed into the car. I started driving immediately, zooming after the Vampire who was running on the sidewalks.

We were getting closer and closer to him, but he suddenly ambushed a man who was walking out of store and collected his car key probably through compulsion since the man didn't struggle and he showed the Vampire which car was his.

I began to drive faster, but the Vampire quickly climbed into the car and zoomed away.

Fuck!

I swerved to the right as a truck approached and I continued zooming across the road.

"There's a bridge on the left, if we pass the bridge, we should be able to cut him off at the other side," Nico said and I immediately drifted to the left, zooming up the bridge.

I pulled the gear, going as fast as I could while avoiding running into vehicles.

I zoomed down the bridge at the fastest speed so I could intercept the car the Vampire was driving in.

Shit! I watched as the car drove past us at the bottom of the bridge.

We were so close to him and I drove faster. I immediately hit the brake as a large truck drove in our way from the road on the left.

As soon as the truck moved out of our way, I couldn't find the car the Vampire was driving in.

I continued driving and I pulled over as soon as we got to a place where I could park the car.

We were never going to find them now. I hit the steering in frustration.

"If he really sells those Vampire drugs to those clubs, there's an high possibility that he would go back there," Nico said.

"We just have to find wait for the right time."

"Or we find a way to track them down." I started the car again and drove onto the road, turning into the other lane back in the direction of the club.

***

Nathan.

I slowed down the car as I got to the entrance of the estate. The guards came to confirm it was me before opening the gate.

I drove in and increased the speed of the car. I glanced at Natasha who was still unconscious and picked up my phone again so I could dial Dante's number. I had been calling him ever since I began to drive Natasha back to the etstate.

I pulled up in front of the main pack mansion and I climbed down from the car.

I walked over to the other side and I opened the door by Natasha. I sighed, wondering how I was going to carry her in.

I tried to put my hand around her neck, but I pulled my hand back and sighed again.

I made her lean away from the car seat and I wrapped my hand around her waist and lifted her legs with my other hand.

I carried out of the car gently, using my leg to shut the door. I carried her up into the building and I tried to open the door of her room, but it was locked.

I sighed and walked down to Dante's room, but it was also locked. I walked back to her room and I kicked the door, forcing it open.

I placed her on her bed and stood up straight, sighing and resting my palms on my waist.

Now, where the hell is Dante and why is he not picking up his call?

I walked out of the room and closed the door. The doorknob was damaged, but it still managed to stay.

I closed my eyes and couldn't sense any one in the building. Did Dante go on a mission I don't know about.

I walked back outside and took my phone out. I dialed Dante's line again, but it kept ringing without a response.

Where the fuck is he?! What am I supposed to do now.

I sighed and shoved my fingers into my hair.

I have an unconscious lady there who could have possibly seen the fucking end of the world and I have absolutely no idea what I'm supposed to do.

Yeah, I have to call Jared to check on her.

I was about to walk back into the house when my phone rang. It was a guard who usually stayed at the gate.

"Riley, is everything okay?" I asked.

"Yes, there's a woman here who claims she here to see you," Riley replied.

"A woman?"

"Yes, she's human."

Human? Woman? Who could be here to see me.

"What's her name?" I asked and I heard Riley talk in the background.

"She says her name is Kara," Riley replied and I sighed in frustration.

Ah Fuck!
