Chapter 142: Chapter 142

The Special

Dante.

I looked up as Patrick walked back to the car. The two cars we drove here with were packed a few blocks away from the White Royal Hotel since Natasha mentioned seeing the hotel.

We had been here for hours, visiting every house to check if we would find any Vampires, but there were no Vampires.

Patrick had gone to check the hotel and find out if any Vampires were lodged there.

He shook his head as he climbed into the car.

"We couldn't find any Vampire," he said and I looked up as the rest of the men returned to the second car parked in front while Nico climbed in next to me.

"Who are the Vampires we're looking for?" Nico asked.

How was I going to explain to them without giving out too much information?

"They attacked the pack before. They worked for Bastien," I explained and Nico nodded.

"There are no Vampires in any of these houses," Patrick said.

Natasha was accurate about Rhazien's location the last time, I don't think she's wrong about their location.

Or maybe, she didn't see where they stay. What she tracked was the current location of the owner of the wristwatch.

He could have been in this area and that time and he could have left then. Shit!

"I found a nightclub at the corner, maybe we can check there," Nico said.

"Well, maybe you should have led with that," I said and immediately started the car.

I drove onto the road and created a telepathic link with the men in the other car.

"Follow us."

I slowed down the car as Nico pointed at the nightclub. I pulled up in front of the nightclub and took out the car key.

I climbed down and took a look at the building before slamming the door shut.

"Nico, follow me, the rest of you should wait until you hear from me," I instructed. Nico climbed down from the car and we both walked into the club.

It was barely evening, but the club was filled up. Did people really have nothing good to do?

Disco lights were flashing around and the loud music irritated me.

I looked around, but my eyes could barely look at a face properly in the middle of the unresting crowd.

Not like I would recognize any of those Vampires if I saw them. They all wore masks and they would probably recognize me before I know it was them.

I walked up to the bar and pulled back a stool. Something didn't feel right.

Not in a bad for me, kind of way. Almost everyone didn't seem normal to me. They were all hyperactive, everyone was interacting with everyone in a sexual way.

There didn't seem to be a permanent couple. It was like they didn't care who they kissed or touched.

A bartender walked up to us with a cute smile and placed his hands on the counter.

"What can I give you gentlemen?" He asked and winked. I took a look at the crowd again and had a feeling that they had all taken something.

I didn't know what it was. Nico was about to talk, but I quickly interrupted him.

"The special," I replied and the Bartender grinned.

"Plasma or V?" He asked.

Plasma. V. What are they?

"V," I replied and he nodded. He left for a while and came back with two tiny cups of what looked like beer.

He set it on the counter before me and Nico and I faked a smile.

I waited for him to move away before grabbing the cup of beer and holding it up to my nose.

I smelled a familiar scent and I sighed. I would recognize that smell everywhere.

"Vampire blood," I said and Nico's eyes widened in surprise.

He picked up his cup and he smelled it too.

I think this is what everyone or most of the people in the club took. This and whatever the fuck Plasma was.

Vampire blood had healing properties so with the right solution and measurement, it should work as a narcotic, energy boost, or pain reliever.

"I think whoever supplies the additive for this drink is connected to the Vampires we are looking for," I said and I secretly poured the beer in my cup away, making it flow down the side of the counter so it won't make a sound.

Nico did the same too and I called the attention of the bartender.

I pretended to be under the influence of the drink and smiled, "You know, my man told me about this place, but I didn't know that it was so good."

The bartender smiled and grabbed some bottles of beer from the shelf.

"I feel so good man."

"But why is something so good limited to just a club like this. I can make this spread nationwide, who are your suppliers?" I asked.

I noticed that the bartender became uneasy, but he smiled.

"I don't know man. I just serve drinks," He replied and walked away with the bottles of beer he got from the shelf

I discarded the fake expression on my face and pushed the cup before me aside.

I looked up and saw the bartender talking to someone at a corner of the club.

I honed my wolf hearing and though it made the loud music hurt like hell, I was able to hear their conversation.

"There's a man there asking for the suppliers," he whispered to the man.

"What did you say?"

"I told him I don't know," the bartender replied.

I immediately stood up and pointed at them.

"There."

I quickly ran towards them, but they didn't run and I stopped before them.

As I got close, I sensed something about the man the bartender was talking to.

He was a fucking Vampire.
