Chapter 117: Chapter 117
117
Self Preservation
Natasha..
The man groaned and his red eyes turned blue.
If I didn't know better, I'd say that those Witches knew their fate by fighting him, but did it so they cou successfully achieve whatever that dagger is supposed to do.
I realized that I was here to actually find Landon and I already got distracted. I looked up and saw that all the seven witches were there alive and facing off against the man again.
I was in Landon's subconscious so why was this scene playing over and over again. What does it mean and how is it connected to what happened to him.
I turned around so I could find Landon, but I saw him watching the scene from down the road.
I walked up to me and he faced me, recognition slowly showing on his face.
"What are you doing here??" He asked, surprised to see me.
"No, how did you get here??" He asked, confused me.
"You're unconscious and I'm in your head," I replied and immediately I said that the ground began to shake.
Thunder rumbled in the sky and the sky became dark. My hands flailed in the air as I tried to maintain balance.
"Ummm. I don't think you were supposed to say that," Landon said, looking up and I had an idea of what he could be talking about.
Rain began to pour heavily and I groaned in frustration. Why???
"I think I compromised the bridge between your conscious and subconscious," I said and it sounded like something straight out or Sci-fi novels.
"Do you watch Sci-fi??" He asked and I nodded. I gently moved down the road and I quickly held on to a thick branch of a tree.
"No, novels, and I think we might have broken a popular rule which is silly and so cringe," I said and Landon also held on to another Branch of the tree.
The fighting scene up ahead didn't seem to be affected at all by everything that's happening and it kept repeating.
"You have to wake up," I said loudly so my voice could be heard over the sound of the storm.
"I can't," He replied and I sighed in frustration, flinching as lightning hit the ground, close to me.
The grass caught fire, but it soon died out before it could spread because of the heavy rain.
"You have to so we can solve whatever happened to you," I stated, "plus, I've read enough to know that if we stay here much longer during this instability, it might damage your mind," I added.
"No, I mean, I can't. I am not able to wake up," he replied and I nodded in understanding.
"Something is definitely holding you back, but you are not conscious of it," I said and I looked at the fighting scene again
"They are not affected by the storm," I stated.
"Yes, because they are being projected by my maginationon," Landon said and he immediately looked like he had an idea.
He looked around and closed his eyes. The storm slowly stopped and soon, the sky was clear again. P
He opened his eye and laughed, "I guess the movies and books aren't completely accurate after all."
I looked around and smiled before facing him here.
"If you are trapped here, it's because of self-preservation, what are you scared of facing when you wake up?" I asked and he glanced at the fight scene.
If this was the scene being projected by his imagination, then it had to be connected to it.
"Who is that man?" I asked and he faced me.
"Rhazien," he replied and looked at them again.
I had no idea who that was so I asked, "Who is Rhazien?"
"Rhazien is Viktor," he replied and I gaped in surprise. What?? That was Viktor. He doesn't look anything like he is.
"He can change his form," Landon answered the question that was on my mind.
"What?? How??"
"Viktor's real is Rhazien, and he is the younger brother of the Redwood twins," Landon said and I glanced at him again.
Luther RedWood made it known the other day at the Gala, but how does that explain how he is able to shapeshift or release such a strong and dangerous magical aura.
"Viktor's mom was dying when she was pregnant with him and save him, his Grandfather injected his mother with demon blood regularly until he was born," Landon explained and I gasped.
"Demons exist??!"
"So it appears."
"So Viktor, I mean Rhazien began to manifest destructive powers and his Grandfather forcefully shut off his humanity and manipulated him so he could use him as a weapon," Landon continued and I looked at the fight scene.
I said that he really looked like the devil himself - monstrous and devoid of emotion.
"This was the scene where some witches brought him back to his senses and after this, he ran and changed his identity. It wasn't until the encounter with Luther that he showed himself."
Now, I understood everything Luther Redwood was saying when he saw Viktor at the Gala. So Dante really had no reason to be suspicious of Viktor.
"So what happened??"
"After that incident is grandfather head that he was here and he traveled to the country. He kidnapped me and threatened to drop me in a cauldron of boiling silver liquid unless Viktor agrees to take the serum used to shut off his humanity earlier," Landon said and I gasped.
"He agreed."
"So, you mean Viktor is now......this." I said, pointing at the fighting scene and Landon nodded in affirmation.
Oh My God!! The Redwoods now had a weapon. We have to warn them, but I can't leave until Landon wakes up.
"You and Viktor are in a relationship right??" I asked and he remained silent for a while before affirming it with a nod.
"Kinda" .
"Then I think that you are scared that you might have to face off against Viktor. You are afraid that when he sees you he won't care about you and he will hurt you," I said and eh sighed loudly.
"I think that is what is keeping you here."
"But I really want to wake up so I can try to bring him back to his senses," Landon said.
"Yes, but deep down you are scared and you have to admit it."
"Fine. I'm scared. I don't know how I am going to face him. I'm scared because he can end me before I even have the chance to say a word," Landon said quickly and in one breath.
I nodded in satisfaction.
"But you came to us. You came to us because you know that we can help you and we will find a solution to this," I said softly, "and unless you wake up, we won't be able to do anything and we're giving Viktor more time to do more horrible things." I added and Viktor nodded.
"Yes, Pedro isn't a man to waste time. He'll start taking action immediately," Landon said.
"Pedro?"
"His grandfather."
I nodded and I looked up to see a bright light shining up ahead. I looked closer and saw that it was a portal. I and Landon glanced at each other and we nodded with a smile.
That was our ride back to consciousness.
