Chapter 116: Chapter 116

Subconscious

Natasha.

"Do you think Viktor hurt him??" I asked, looking at Landon who had been laid on a bed in a room.

Dante sighed and shrugged.

"But I thought he and Viktor are supposed to be in some sort of relationship," Nathan stated with a raised eyebrows.

Relationship? Well, that's interesting.

"I don't know. Viktor is related to the Redwoods, I knew he couldn't be trusted," Dante said, clenching his fists and then shoving his fingers into his hair.

He was getting agitated again.

"We still don't know for sure that Viktor hurt him in any way," I said, and he glanced at me, breathing in deeply.

"Yes, he could mean that Viktor was also in trouble," Nathan said in agreement and I looked at Landon again.

I looked over my shoulder as someone knocked on the door and Nathan went to answer it.

It was Dr. Jared. I moved away the bed so he could move closer to Landon.

"What happened to him??" Jared asked.

"We don't know, he came in and he slumped," Nathan replies and Jared nodded, dropping his briefcase on the table.

He took out his stethoscope and he began to examine Landon.

After ten minutes of letting him do his thing, he closed his briefcase and faced us.

"There's nothing wrong with him, but I think he was exposed to silver radiation that stressed him," Jared explained.

"So, why did he collapse and when is he going to wake up?" Dante asked.

"His brain activity is perfectly fine, but I think is some sort of self preservation," Jared explained and I raised my eyebrows.

"So he doesn't want to wake up?" I asked.

"That, or his brain is forcing him to rest," Jared replied.

"There's nothing I can do. We have to wait for him to wake up," he added.

"Alright, thank you. You can go," Dante said and Jared walked out of the room.

"If Landon came here in that condition, there must be something important he wants to say," Nathan stated, "a warning or something."

"Well, whatever it is, we can't know until he wakes up," Dante said.

I looked at Landon, remembering what Jared just said. If he was really afraid of waking up, then something important was going on.

He was unconscious so he can't exactly he thinking of anything so I can't read his mind.

But if I can read conscious thoughts, maybe I can also connect with subconscious and unconscious thoughts.

"Let me try something," I said and I walked close to Landon's bed.

"What are you doing??" Dante asked as I placed my hand on Landon's forehead, but I looked away from him and closed my eyes.

I felt that I connected with his consciousness, but it was completely empty and silent. Okay, now let's try to go deeper.

I continued pushing my mind deeper into his head and I groaned as I felt his head fighting against my mind..

"Natasha, what are you doing??" Dante's voice sounded distant and low.

"Wait, let's see what she wants to do.".

I continued digging deeper into Landon's mind and in the darkness, I began to hear distant sounds.

It sounded like grunts and struggle. I knew I was getting somewhere in his mind and if I could talk to him, I could probably get him to wake up.

I began to see light from afar and I kept going till the light overshadowed me and when I opened my eyes, I was standing in the middle of a road.

I looked up and saw the source of the grunts I had been hearing before. There were two dead witches on the floor - one with a large hole where hear heart is supposed to be and one without an head.

There were five other witches and another man who seemed to be their enemy.

Why would seven witches find it hard to kill a single........ I realised I couldn't sense anything supernatural from the man, but he still had this dangerous aura.

"Nevilum difiltrea coropus zedi. Nevilum difiltrea coropus zedi." Five witches began to chant in unison and the man immediately began to groan in pain as he slowly fell on his knees.

One of the Witches pulled out a dagger from nowhere and she unsheathed it to reveal the sparking blue blade.

She continued chanting with the rest of them and she slowly walked towards the man who was struggling on his knees to break free from the effect of the spell.

She brought the dagger down to stab him, but all of sudden, large black wings sprouted out of his back, tearing through the leather armor he wore.

Wait, was he a Vampire?? I couldn't sense that. He seemed human. He probably had something hiding his scent of he was an Hybrid like..... Like Viktor.

No, that isn't Viktor. He looks entirely different.

He swung the wings in the air and the sharp edges sliced through the head of the Witch standing close to him.

I watched as her head slowly rolled to the ground and the dagger in her hand clattered to the ground.

Because it was a joint spell, her death affected the spell for a while and he quickly stood up on his feet.

He moved closer and his wings chopped off the head of another Witch.

"Nevilum difiltrea coropus zedi. Nevilum difiltrea coropus zedi," the remaining three Witches began to chant quickly and he fell on his feet again.

He groaned, struggling to break free from the spell as the Witches continued chanting. This time, his wings were also being supressed. One of the Witches walked forward and she picked up the dagger that had fallen from the first witch.

He closed his eyes and I could feel the magic in the air getting stronger and stronger.

If he was a Vampire, how could he be releasing so much magical aura. Do Tribrid's exist?? I've only ever read of it in novels written by humans. He hadn't cast a single spell since I was here so definitely not

The Witches groaned, and I could see that they were struggling to keep on saying the chants.

I knew he was doing something to them, but I had absolutely no idea what it was. The dude wasn't even touching them or chanting.

He groaned as he slowly got up on his feet and his surpressed wings slowly sprouted larger and larger, he swung both of his wings and in that single, swift movement, the heads of the two Witches before him rolled to the ground.

The third one behind him was about to stab him with the dagger, but he swiftly turned around and he drove his hand into his chest.

He gritted his teeth with a satisfied smile and the Witch gasped painfully. He was a monster, he looked like he devil himself.

"This is for you," the Witch groaned and she suddenly drove the dagger into his chest. He groaned and he let go of the Witch letting her fall lifelessly to the ground.

He groaned and his red eyes turned blue.

If I didn't know better, I'd say that those Witches knew their fate by fighting him, but did it so they cou successfully achieve whatever that dagger is supposed to do.

I realized that I was here to actually find Landon and I already got distracted. I looked up and saw that all the seven witches were there alive and facing off against the man again.

I was in Landon's subconscious so why was this scene playing over and over again. What does it mean and how is it connected to what happened to him.

I turned around so I could find Landon, but I saw him watching the scene from down the road.

I walked up to me and he faced me, recognition slowly showing on his face.

"What are you doing here??"
