Lily gulped when she saw his eyes looking deeply into her green ones. It was as if he would swallow her right now.

Just as she thought he was going to hit her as he raised his hand, she blankly stared at his hand that handed on her head softly as he pecked on her temple. She blinked as she was taken aback.

"Laugh more. I like it when you laugh", his deep voice rang in her ears.

She looked like a little kid sitting in front of him. She chuckled awkwardly and turned her face away from him.

"You're weird."

"Mm."

Lily peeked at the man to her right through her lashes and found him eating elegantly.

"Stop looking at me like that. Also, wear something warmer instead of just the overcoat. It's snowing outside so it's cold", he spoke in a calm and soft tone.

Lily looked at the man who had never shown a tinge of emotion to any person but hearing those words coming from him made her feel warm.

He cared about her even though they were married because of their family's arrangements.

Little did she know, the Devil had his eyes on her since the first day.

"The overcoat is warm and the place I'll go to has a lot of heating system so it's warm there", Lily explained. For some reason, she felt like she needed to explain the man so he wouldn't worry about her.

"Christmas is in two days. What do you want?", he asked changing the topic once he was satisfied by her answer. "Nothing", she answered as she finished her breakfast and wiped her mouth.

Adrian too wiped his mouth and turned to her as he said gently, "What do you love the most in this world? What the wish that you want to make it come true?"

She thought for a while before she answered, "There are many thing that I wish never happened so I want to fix them. I want to meet the people that once loved and cared about me in the past. I want to avenge myself."

Adrian nodded before he stood up and put on his black overcoat then dragged Lily out with him.

"Hey! What are you doing? You can't just drag me out with you", she shouted but all of the words fell into deaf ears.

The two women and the old man who saw them rushing out of the mansion sighed deeply.

'Seems they made up yet again the idiot guy might ruin things.'

After dragging Lily out of the mansion, Adrian opened the car door of the passenger seat for her. "What?", she asked in confusion.

"Get in. I'll drop you wherever you want to go", he said in a calm tone. "But I've my car, I'll go on my own. Thanks", she said and was about to leave when her wrist was caught by the man known as her husband who was overbearing jerk.

"Get in", he ordered.

"No."

The next moment, she was picked up in his arms and put in the car with child lock while he got in the driver's seat.

"This is kidnapping. I will kill you", she warned him. "Sure if you want to be a widow."

"Doesn't matter as long as I'm out of this car", she said angrily and was about to break the glass when he told her that it's special unbreakable bulletproof glass that cannot be shattered no matter what she did.

Adrian already drove away by the time she realised that she couldn't help but sit quietly. Like an angry kid, she sat quietly with her arms crossed over her chest.

Adrian glanced at her and felt she was too cute.

"Stop laughing", she yelled at him.

"Hmm. Where should I drop you?", he asked as they hit the main road. "Leave me in front of your company. I'll go on my own, I don't want you to know anything about me", she said directly on his face not thinking if he was hurt but to her surprise he smirked.

"Should I drop you to JenLi?"

"..."

Adrian chuckled upon seeing her stunned look. "I've a question", she asked to which he hummed in response so she continued. "Well, you are the richest man on this planet, right? So you're powerful eventually and I agree you have talent but what's the mystery?"

A sly smile formed on his lips when he saw his curious wife. "You'll know soon."

"I want to know now", she said stubbornly.

"Have some patience, sweetheart", he said and quickly a hand came in front of him. He gave her a confused look and instead kissed on her hand making her retreat her hand immediately.

The rest of the ride was quiet until they reach JenLi.

"Don't touch me as you please. I don't like it", she said in a gloomy tone. "Do you hate my touch?", he asked looking at her carefully.

If she hated his touch then he would never touch her unless she was the one initiating it.

To his surprise, she shook her head and her answer surprised him more. "I don't hate your touch instead I seem to like them which I don't want. I've experienced somethings in my past which traumatized me. I'm telling you all these because you're my husband and I want transparency between us. I don't want to fall in love with you because I know in future you might leave me as well. I don't want to trust you but my mind and heart do otherwise."

As she poured her feeling, she lowered her gaze but suddenly a large hand came forward lifting her face while her lips were covered with a pair of warm lips. His lips slowly kissed her lips which were so soft that it made him feel like they would melt if he kissed too roughly.

After kissing for a few seconds, he let go of her and pecked on her forehead before he started speaking.

"I have no idea what happened in your past or what you went through but I can promise you one thing that I will never your side no matter what. I know action speaks louder than words and I will prove you with my actions. Don't be afraid of your feelings for me or push me away. If I ever hurt you, if not you then your grandfather or my entire family might as well punish me so I really wouldn't dare hurt their precious person."

Lily laughed at his last sentence while she looked into his eyes searching for any dishonesty but she couldn't find any.

"Thanks", she said and smiled.

Adrian smiled back at her and she was ready to alight the car when he spoke again.

"I'm proud of you, my little panda", he said as he gave a pat on her head. She smiled warmly before she walked out of the car.

It was six in the evening when Lily recieved a text from Adrian saying he was coming to pick her up. She quickly packed her things and went downstairs since she as excited to know about his mysterious secret.

Once she saw the familiar black limited edition Rolls Royce stop, she got inside and fastened the seat belt. "It's so cold outside", she complained as she rubbed her hands.

Adrian looked at her with a deep scowl and stopped in front of a clothing store. It was the outlet of PC Styles. As soon as they got inside, everyone greeted Adrian respectfully.

"President, how may I help you?", the manager of the store asked with a polite smile.

"Bring something good for her that is warm", he ordered coldly as he started looking around. "I don't need anything. I'm fine", Lily said as she tugged on his suit gently but he seemed to have gone deaf.

Soon the manager came with a beige thick white fur coat. Adrian immediately put it on Lily then covered her head with a matching beanie and her hands with gloves.

Once he was satisfied, the two of them left.

"I told you it wasn't needed", she said as she looked at Adrian who was about to start the car. "And I already told you in the morning it would be cold", he said with a disappointed look.

The rest of the ride the two of them did not say anything.

Around forty minutes later, their car halted in front of a building that was a famous hotel in the city. Lily gave a confused look but Adrian did not seem to want to answer her and quietly got down then came to her side to open the door.
