The only thing going through my mind and confronting Victor about what he did. Yes, the topic about firing people was there but most importantly I wanted to tell him to keep his hands to himself. He had no right to touch me let alone undress me.

"Ugh" I groaned in frustration as I ran my hand in my hair which I untied because I thought it was causing me to have a headache. I never wore my hair down but I chose to let it fall just to look a bit scary. I knew the grumpy man was not expecting his so-called troublesome surrogate at his office but I was fired up to tell him things about privacy

"Hello there...so I didn't know you were coming"and to my surprise immediately the car stopped right in front of the Ellison busy being which stood tall and magnificent. The driver walked to my side and opened the door for me. I didn't like the treatment which bugged me a great deal but I stepped out on the concrete ground and adjusted my small shirt

I wanted to be as decent as possible so this time I wore something which didn't reveal any skin and once I made my way to the main entrance

I entered the building only to be greeted by Beverly who was talking to the receptionist

Since the last time I came here, I didn't dare step foot in such a place where others looked down on people and when the receptionist lady saw me approach them, I saw that disdainful look which I ignored as I smiled and Beverly hugged me

"Hey...is the boss in?"I asked, looking around the quiet place. There was no sign of any employees which I expected knowing Victor was a grumpy man. I was certain the man with just one look made them tremble and I scoffed at such authority

"I thought you wouldn't go anywhere...I called Julia earlier and she told me what happened... shouldn't you be resting?"Beverly said with concern in her eyes as she held my hand and led me away to the elevator. I smiled knowing the news of my situation spread like wildfire. It wouldn't have been the grumpy man telling everyone he saved my life when he had to answer the question of how he revived me back to life

"Vivie...you okay"suddenly Beverly asked turning me to her and I knew I was lost thinking about Victor

So frustrating

"Yes...I'm fine...I'm just asking if Victor is around?"I said, clearing my throat as we entered the elevator. Beverly followed me in and the doors closed and we were moving.

"Yes dear...right now he's in the conference room having a meeting..but you can wait for him in his office," she said smiling at me and I was relieved the grumpy man wasn't in his office. At least I would wait for him to finish up then talk to him

"Okay then" saying that I went quiet as I waited for the elevator to come to a halt. What was I doing, I know he saved my life. Of what I knew Victor was a doctor. If my life was threatened then he had all the rights to make sure I was okay mainly for the child I was carrying

I knew if I was never pregnant then he wouldn't have done anything. It bothered me greatly not recalling how he did it. What did he think when he gave me mouth to mouth, what exactly happened and how did I react

Of course, I wouldn't know anything knowing I was on the verge of dying and the hero saved me this time. It turned out he returned the favor by saving my life

"If you need anything don't hesitate to call me okay"Beverly said I'm mediately we walked into Victor's office. He wasn't there and I nodded as I scanned my surroundings. It was so pleasant and the atmosphere was nice so cool and refreshing that I smiled when the door closed and I removed the purse and took out my phone

"So this is the boss's office," I said out loud as I walked around the grumpy man's beautiful office. I walked to his desk smiling when I saw his nicely arranged desk. The files were in order as well as his computer

My hand ran over the smooth surface as I felt the glass table then walked to the chair and saw the office view from Victor's perspective

It felt nice to stand there and look at the beautiful view from Victor's perspective. He was the boss I'm sure he loved being in control

"The grumpy man likes power," I said with a shift as I drew the chair back. It was all leather and smelled nice just like Victor. I kinda liked how the man smelled. His perfume was so intoxicating. Each time he came close to me. I kind of felt nice

"Let's see what boss Vivienne can do," I said with giggles and slowly lowered down in the chair. I sat down and pulled the chair forward so I could rest my hands on the desk

I smiled knowing if he found me, then he would scold me and show me his grumpy face but I waved my hands in the air as I leaned back knowing he would only say one thing

"Ms. Payton...do you need anything?"I mimicked his deep Stern and distant voice which sounded a lot intimidating knowing his employees bowed before him whenever he spoke

"Let's see what he…"I was about to see what was on the small paper on top of the file when the door opened instantly. My hands froze midair and I felt my body shake upon seeing who walked in

I wanted to stand up and flee for my life but I couldn't move no matter how much I tried. Victor closed the door and looked up only to stop for a while as if shocked to see me there. I swallowed dry air which was audible and looked at him with innocent eyes. I was doomed because I was sitting in his chair and when he regained his wits and walked to his desk. I just wanted the ground to open up and swallow me wholly out of embarrassment

"S...sir," I said before he could scold me and put me in my place. I was supposed to wait for him not to cause trouble and touch his things but the look he had on his face was not a pleasant one

"What are you doing here?" he muttered as she pulled out a chair just where visitors sit and I felt even more scared. Why wasn't he telling me to move from his position but sat there like he was the employee and I was the boss 'you've done it again Vivienne' I scolded myself when I rose to my feet but he gestured for me to sit back down. He was looking fresh. His hair the way he was wearing black from top to bottom made him look so hot like a dark prince.

"Sir...I...I came to ask you to hire Julia back" I blurted out to avoid the awkwardness in the room and I sat down just as he instructed. He looked at me for a while then extended his hand to get his file

"And I'm going to investigate this matter myself...I'll ask questions and find out who the culprit is"I added before he cod say anything to refuse and waited for him to speak

"What else?" he simply said and kept his eyes on the files as he flipped the pages in a bossy way

"And you should not threaten innocent lives...and see people naked," I said but muttered the last words more to myself because he was acting g as if he didn't see anyone naked and I was so affected by it that I had to tell it out

"I only did it to save a life"I heard him say and my wide eyes lifted to look at him not believing he heard what I said

Curse it Vivienne

"That doesn't mean you have to change a girl, sir," I said through gritted teeth hoping the shameless man would look at me so I could tell it to his face

"Ms. Payton shouldn't you be thanking me for saving your life" he added coldly and I was stunned how he could talk to me about such a topic without feeling shy

"T...you didn't have to...I mean...why?"I was helpless, not sure what to say to make him unsee what he saw. I considered my body sacred and here he saw it. I would have liked it if he didn't see it at all

"My child was at risk...did you expect me to sit still" like a sharp stab to my heart he said and this time he looked up at me and I felt something else. He just said the reason why he did it but why did it hurt hearing it

"Oh," I said and rose to my feet. I didn't have to ask why he did it when I knew why he did it and hearing it made me feel funny

"I'll take my leave," I said and prepared to walk past him but I was stopped when Victor grabbed my hand surprising me as I came to a sudden halt not sure what he was doing holding my hand

"I'm going out for lunch...sober up and come with me" saying that he let go of me and rose to his feet. I didn't move from there because I was simply shocked. Lunch with him? Was he inviting me for lunch

"S...sir" I mumbled turning to face him and Victor looked at me with narrowed eyes as if he didn't like my reaction

"Ms. Payton...I'm not forcing you to come with me...but I feel you have a grudge against me" he said more seriously and turned to get his coat. I saw him retrieve his wallet and phone as well as car keys and I knew he drove himself.

I was speechless as he walked away and headed towards the door. I had to follow him

"We are going on a lunch date?"I muttered the question to myself and my lips quivered upwards as butterflies swarmed my stomach. I felt warm and fuzzy inside as I ran after him since he was already out of his office. We were going on a date? As ridiculous as it sounded but it would have been fun if it was a date.
