(Vivienne)

"Vivienne, wait!"Monica yelled and I was surprised how she got to me so quickly and grabbed my arm pulling me back. I turned around and I wasn't happy with her

"I need to ask him if he knows I saw you with the doctor" I lashed out trying with my might to get out of her grasp but she had that dark animalistic expression as she gripped me even tighter and dragged me back to the room and slammed the door shut

"You have no right to meddle in my affairs" she made a low yell through gritted teeth and I saw nothing but rage in her eyes. She was bitter and angry and I didn't care because I was busy deceiving good men who deserve nothing but the best. I liked doctor Justin like my own big brother just like I liked Leo but finding out about their affairs I couldn't tolerate it because someone was likely to get hurt

"It's not my business but I can't let you hurt others...do you know how much damage this can do"I told her straight. She was a grown woman and more mature than me. Yes I had no business in what she did but this was being evil and careless

"This is my last warning okay...stick to your agenda here.. stay out of my life got that"she spat out bitterly pointing her index finger at me. I was stunned by how defensive she was and I knew she was playing with both men

"You should be ashamed of yourself... sleeping with two men who are friends," I said when she was about to walk away, and immediately she stopped and turned around. Her expression was deadly as she looked at me in disbelief. I didn't care because she was old enough to know she was doing something wrong

"Oh really...so now I'm the slut here...what about you?"She walked back to me and we stood face to face. Without heels, she wasn't so tall and I could reach up to her height but that wasn't my concern rather about what she said to me

"What do you mean?"I asked, narrowing my eyes questionably. As if what I said was funny she burst out laughing mockingly as she clapped twice and stopped

"You think I don't know...hahaha these walls have ears... Vivienne the day I set my eyes on you I knew you weren't so innocent" she remarked and I saw how red her eyes had turned from anger. I saw where the conversation was going and I knew she was onto me but I was different from her. I wasn't playing with two men like her

"I'm not like you…"I started but she cut me off with a raised hand. She was ridiculous and impossible to understand. How dare she compare herself to me

"You think I dunno about you...a 19 years old posing to be 22 and what did you do...do you know how old Victor is?" she said and I was stunned by what she said. I looked at her in disbelief. I grew afraid, not sure how she found out about my real age

"I know about...but…"I didn't even know what to say to her when she cornered me. Yes, I lied about my age and I knew Victor's age..as much as I was afraid to face reality I still didn't think his age was a problem.

"You should be ashamed of yourself...how dare you try to replace my sister!" she yelled, this time she didn't hide her anger. Her breathing was uncontrollable

"Sorry to say but I'm not trying to replace anyone...she's dead and not coming back," I said straight without fear. She was angry that she could slap me if she could but I wasn't Replacing her sister. She was dead and Victor didn't have to stay sorrowful all his life

"How dare you!" she raised her hand to slap me as if she realized what I said and just then the door opened and Leo rushed in

"Stop it Monica" she rushed between us and shoved Monica away. I could see how he was trying to keep Monica under control as she was a lost cause

"She's a stupid girl...she only came here to trap Victor...do you know what she has been doing" she went crazy and said fighting to get to me but I knew she was trying to divert the issue of her playing with two men with my affairs with Victor

"Stop it now...okay...she's innocent" Leo lashed out looking at her with rage in his eyes but Monica used all her strength and pushed low away

"She planned this...I'm sure she came with a full proof plan to trap Victor"

"That's not true...you can't trap him in his sorrows all for a woman who didn't trust her husband to tell him what she had!" she could insult me but I wasn't doing anything wrong. There was no name written on Victor's forehead of a woman who owned him. I was angry too because Monica was trying to paint me bad about my affair with Victor. The woman he claimed to love didn't bother to tell her husband she was dying

"You have no right to insult my sister...she's Victor's love and will forever be," she said grabbing me in my shirt and pulling me forward

"Let her go...stop this Moni what's wrong with you"Leo grabbed her hand and pulled her from him. "She's pregnant so stop stressing her"Leo added but Monica was too angry to let me be. Her eyes and breathing we're enough

"Stop hiding the fact that you can't stand seeing Victor finally opening up to something new and I promise you he'll get over his depression," I said knowing Monica was bitter about her sister's memories being forgotten and Victor moving on. I saw how Victor was always sad and drinking beer to hide his sorrows and no one even paid attention enough to stop him from ruining his health

"I don't blame you but I blame your pathetic parents who gave birth to a useless girl like you!"Monica shouted on top of her voice as her voice echoed in my ears. I didn't have anything to say when a heavy tight slap landed across her face surprising her as well as me who moved back from fright

"Don't you dare talk to her like that!"Leo yelled, staring daggers at Monica and gripping her neck, causing her to gasp in pain. "I can tolerate your bullying but don't you dare insult her!"Leo growled and I saw as he gripped her with so much strength that Monica's eyes were watering. I didn't want this to happen but she overreacted and caused me to lose my cool

"Leo stops it please"I pleaded with Leo to let her go and he finally did, shoving Monica aside as she gaped and coughed violently. I didn't feel good seeing her in such a state but she wasn't happy as she balanced on her feet and looked at Leo as if she didn't think he would do such things to her

"Don't ever come close to me" she told him straight and stormed away and rushed to the door.

"Vivienne, listen..."

"I want to be alone" I cut him off and pointed towards the door. He looked at me for a while but I didn't want to listen to what he had to say. After what Monica said about my parents I didn't want to see anyone and when he saw how serious I was. He left and only when the door closed did I walk to my bed and dropped down. She was wrong to insult my parents, the people who I didn't even know existed nor if they even wanted me. I sat there waiting for the knot in my chest to loosen. If I could cry and shed tears then it would have been good but I was dry with no tears in my eyes to cry myself out or let the pain flow and I was used to it this way.

When Victor was done having lunch with a bunch of the new doctors he hired for his hospital one of them being his childhood friend and the woman he studied with even when he was ahead of her. He went to the office did some work and finally had time to go home

Although on his way home he stopped at an ice cream shop which he learned was his Surrogate's favorite ice cream shop. Their car just stopped there because of traffic but he took his time to get some ice cream for her. Not sure why but he thought he needed to get it for her

"Which flavor sir?" the lady who kept on giggling when he came to the shop. He didn't understand why she was acting all shy like she saw a god, however, he looked at the poster where all the ice cream flavors' names had been written and he was lost. For a second he wanted to call his Surrogate and ask which flavor she liked but he dropped the idea and took out his wallet

"Give me all the flavors," he said and shoved money on the table and the lady looked at him with wide eyes. She didn't move nor blink but kept staring at him as if what he said was out of this world unfortunately he had no time in the world to wait for her to come to terms with the fact that he was buying every ice cream flavor she had

"O...okay sir" she finally regained her wits and started getting ice cream for him

"Here sir...thanks," the lady said when he handed him the package and he scanned it before he nodded and walked away from there

"Sir... you forgot the change!" the lady shouted after him but Victor was already heading to the car and ignored the lady completely

"Such a handsome man...so generous," the lady said with cheers and kissed the money and raised it in the air.

Of course, Victor was on his way home,  and once he reached, he was surprised to find his house so quiet not like he was eager to see Castro who had been busy with work and preparing for their partnership but he walked in immediately Julia opened the door for him

"Welcome sir, "Julia said with a bow but Victor was already heading upstairs. It was made outside and he was wondering what his Surrogate was up to. He knew his little brother was busy with his swimming lesson since his coach was at his throat with winning the next swimming tournament in the US. However, that wasn't his concern when he walked straight to Vivienne's room

"I hope she's awake" he muttered narrowing his eyes and knocking but he was shocked when the door was open and the room was dark entirely

"Vivienne?" he called out as he walked in and searched for the light switch. Thankfully he found the light switch and flipped it on and when he did whatever he had in his hand and dropped when he spotted his Surrogate lying on the floor

"Hey...what's wrong?"Victor said as he rushed to her and tried to get her up but she shoved him away

"Don't you touch me" she mumbled and Victor was stunned at how she shrugged him away

"Ms. Payton...what happened?" he said as he tried again to lift her off the cold floor but she turned around and pushed him away so much that he

"I said leave me alone!" she shouted and pushed her hair back. Seeing her face, Victor has never seen his Surrogate as she was

"Whatever it is tell me"

"Just leave me alone...get out!" she yelled and grabbed his hand and dragged him towards the door. He was lost and when she opened the door and threw him out. He was still stunned that even when she slammed the door so hard causing a loud sound he didn't understand a thing. Not just him but a few people in the house heard it and came rushing but stopped once they saw Victor standing by Vivienne's door like a statue

"What's going on...is she okay."It was Castro who came running and Leo followed but Victor had nothing to say. His Surrogate was angry but why?
