Chapter 64: Chapter 64
What’s the best relationship advice that you have gotten?
<Lanvin Nikolai>
I woke up in a dark room with one light open.
What happened?
Why am I here? I can't remember anything. Maybe I got too drunk with my cousins that's why I can't remember anything.
"Azaria?" I called her name. Is that Azaria or am I hallucinating? Damn! I can't recall why I'm in this place.
She was sitting on the sofa, looking at me with a furrowed brow. I turned on the lights and she stared blankly at me.
Damn! Why is she here? My heart throbbed so fast. She's stunning as ever.
"Hey, staring is bad," I snapped, but she just gave me a blank expression.
"Nikolai, do you remember me?" she asked softly. I licked my lips.
“Of course! Why would I forget about you? I just came from my meeting overseas last week. Why would I forget you? Azaria, are you drunk?” I asked worriedly. I heard that she’s always drinking. And she has amnesia.
Her face flushed, and she looked sad. I can’t name the emotion she is showing. I ran my fingers through my hair.
“I'm going home,” she said coldly.
Fuck! Why is she going home? Damn, I miss her. I rarely visited her in the mansion because the company was launching a new project, and I was focusing on a plan. I have many overseas meetings. I haven’t heard anything about her for months.
“Wait, I'll take you. It’s night and it’s dangerous for you to go home,” I said, unconsciously holding her hand.
“No need!” she said angrily. I frowned, why is she mad? Did I do something to make her mad? I was taken aback, but I still followed her outside. Damn! She walks so fast.
“Heidi, what the hell are you doing here?” I asked while my eyes were on Azaria riding the elevator.
Heidi is wearing her usual uniform while holding her bag.
“I had a meeting with a client. Why? What are you doing here? Did you bring another girl again?” she teased. I rolled my eyes at her.
“I’ll call you later!” I said and passed by her. I ran to chase Azaria, but the elevator closed, and she didn’t bother to open it. Why is she acting mad?
We’re in a building that I can’t name. I didn’t pay attention to the place because my mind was occupied knowing that Azaria was in the same room with me. Damn! Did she get mad because something happened between us in that room? Fuck! Impossible.
“Jayeon,” I called my surgeon friend as I passed by. I had a meeting but decided to visit him since we hadn’t met for a very long time.
“Nikolai!” He greeted me, and we did a fist bump.
“Oh, Lanvin, how’s Azaria?”
“She’s doing well, doc.”
“By the way, why are you here? It’s a surprise to see you here. Do you have another facial procedure in mind for me that’s why you came?”
“I just passed by,” I replied shortly and didn’t entertain his question.
My wife is beautiful and doesn’t need any surgery.
“Many people want plastic surgery, and they want to look like Heart Evangelista,” the doctor chuckled. “They're already beautiful, I don’t know why they want to mimic Heart Evangelista’s face. By the way, is Azaria’s face alright now?”
My wife’s wounds and bruises have healed. I had him check my wife’s face because she was in an accident. She had wounds on her face, and I had him examine it. I also contacted a dermatologist back then for the scars on my wife’s body.
“Stop talking about my wife. She’s doing good, and she’s mine.”
“Damn! You’re so possessive! I won’t be surprised if that’s why you do unethical things. You even drag me into your actions.”
What he means by ethical is that it's based on individual perspectives rather than societal standards.
“Stop with your nonsense. I have a gut feeling about my cousin Charles. Damn! He knows something about me,” I opened up. Charles has been bothering my mind. What does he know?
“Do you mean he knows about the foolish things you’ve done? Especially what you did to your wife?” Doc asked, chuckling. I clenched my fist.
“I didn’t do anything wrong. She was mine from the start. I just took back what’s mine,” My wife is mine. She’s originally mine.
“Really? I know you took it from the original,” Jayeon joked.
“Don’t ever mention that moron again,” I hissed.
I’m in Japan with my cousin Lanvin Charles. We need to stay here for 3 days, and after that, I have a flight to Switzerland. I need to attend a world leadership meeting, a gathering of presidents and businessmen from a major company. I’ve been persuading my wife to come with me because my meeting in Switzerland will keep me busy. Damn! I’m going to miss her.
I’m talking to her over the phone and I haven’t told her about my meeting in Switzerland.
“What else have you heard?” I asked her.
“Clatters, and sometimes things break.”
I cursed at what she said. Her memory might return.
After the call ended, I called Heidi to arrange hypnosis treatment for my wife. Hypnosis is a form of treatment, but it must be done properly. It can be risky, and that's what I'm using on my wife to prevent her from remembering things.
Heidi will know what to do with my wife. It's up to her how she performs the hypnosis and erases the memory my wife recalled last night.
Heidi is a psychologist and was supported by my parents. Without us, she wouldn't have earned her degree. I asked her to befriend Azaria, and now fate is in my hands. Everything is going smoothly.
I also asked her for medication to erase memories. She’s overseeing my wife in case she needs to work with her mind.
“Hello, sir,” Heidi greeted me when I answered her call.
“Azaria is confused. She might suspect you with another woman since she saw your cousin Charles in her dream. But I have already taken action. She woke up in your office overly confused. I called to inform you that she might suspect you, but rest assured she won’t remember the incident because of the hypnosis I’m performing on her.”
“Good,” I replied and ended the call. I glanced at my cousin, who was looking at me suspiciously.
